We are Heather, Bradey, Alexa and Chloe. We purchased an abandoned stone barn in the foothills of the Italian Alps and we are working together as a family to renovate and restore this old stone barn into our dream home.
When we first started looking at your house project we said: oh boy! But after watching your show for several months now, all the details that you're putting in and all the expert stone masons that you've hired, this house is really going to be Exquisite! Hats off to you guys and we will continue watching your build through your journey
Agreed 💯🤗🙏
🇨🇦 Agreed 👍 ❤
Agreeing from Virginia! Beautiful!
Agreeing from San Diego, Ca.Amazing!
Agreeing from Texas.
The way you covered up the nasty cement on the walls was genius.
It's pretty common here in Italy... It's a trick often used to show only part of a stone or brick wall when the rest is not as pretty (uglier stonework, old repairs or modifications, heterogeneous materials...).
Not sure why, but I get an immense amount of pleasure watching this building going 'up'. Thank you for filming and sharing it with us.
No matter what you needed to learn for tackling a new project you did it….that is admirable.
What you are doing with the cement at the tops of the walls is so unique and lovely! What a great way to turn that situation around!
I agree, but I think I would stain it a light brown similar to rocks in wall. But still cool.😊😊😊😊
Great progress this week again.whenit is all done. I hope you will have a celebration 'party' with your stone masons friends as the guests of honor.
Very cool the top pieces you fashioned. I like the gray to blend in with stones
It is Beautiful!
What if you 1st make the concrete flush to wall, then. Slap on concrete to mimic stones once achieved then pat on color with chalk brush sporadically using multiple colors to achieve the look of your stones
The Italian builders are really great workers, and cheerful with it .😄
Artisans.
🗣️HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL‼️
🇨🇦 Thank you❣️
Great way to start my Mother's day. Watching this video and Living the Skye Life. I look forward all week to watching these two.
And to you, too! 💞
Thank you for mentioning we poor souls. Lol
Can’t begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed watching you build your dream house. I look forward to Sunday mornings. You both have a great talent and it is nice that you have excluded your girls and made it a family project.
Do you mean included? the girls 👭
How did you first learn of your house?
OMGOSH...It's going to be so beautiful! Those beams just add a new level of class! Such hard work, but going to be worth it! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY HEATHER ❤
I am always impressed how a lot of the workers in other countries are more talented than the ones in the US
I see your vision of this beauty of a building emerging - it’s spectacular. This has been my favorite “show” for a long while. Happy Mother’s Day!
Happy mothers day to all moms! And dad's that are moms!!
The house becomes more beautiful with every episode. It is so worth all the roadblocks and setbacks to see where you are now. Even though there is still much more to do, I look forward to seeing all the time and effort result in a lovely Italian stone house.❤
Wow...love the stone on the wall next to the floating stairs! The lintels match perfectly. It's a delight to watch you transform this beautiful building into a home. Happy Mother's Day 💐❤️ from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
When given lemons, make lemonade......love how you dealt with the concrete on the roof line.
Wow Wow Wow...Love the rendering! After so many months of slow but interesting progress, its happening so fast now. So happy for your family ❤ Thank you for allowing us to join you on your journey!
I’m so impressed with how you remedied the ugly cement. Everything is coming along nicely.
Absolutely beautiful scroll work up above. My mouth literally dropped open. Genious idea.
It reminds me of fondant icing on a cake! Looks wonderful.💕
Moving along so quickly the house is coming together before our eyes.
The details are coming together, a beautiful home is emerging. Happy Mother's Day!
Always a great start to my Sunday mornings, watching your latest progress on the house!
I can’t believe the amount of work and resources you put in this build. It will look amazing when done. The view is spectacular and those church bells just make you feel like you’re in a dream. Keep up the good work, I can’t wait the see your next videos. 🇨🇦
It is starting to get faster and faster going to look like a real house. Top work
Oooh. Too short. Have to wait a whole week to see more of the wonderful work you are doing.
The rendering to cover the concrete looks storybook. More beams and metal studs. Shaping up fast every week.
Agree 👍
Heather’s smile tells me everything I need to know today! I am beyond thrilled for your Family to be making such wonderful progress on the house!🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
When you guys are done it would be awesome to see a condensed version from start to finish.
Yes I agree. Great idea.😊
I would absolutely buy a cd of this project
Yes! Great suggestion! 😘
The amount of work you have done on this stone house is amazing. I love the look of the render of the walls. Clever way of correcting the problem of the concrete. This house is going to be fabulous when it is done.
Non è domenica senza di voi
It's looking absolutely amazing guys. Much love from the US
Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there
Wow and Wow!! Seeing the stairs you did last week next the wall with the wooden lintels I had to take a breath... it's beautiful!!!!! 💥💥 Watching one of your hand hewn lintels [think that's what it's called] being put above the window you framed in was wonderful to watch. They are so beautiful!! 💥💥Then the amazing way you are covering the concrete on the upper walls with the scalloped edges to let the stone wall pop...how beautiful. You're home will be a place filled with love and laughter but also be a work of art. If you were my son I would be so very proud of you Brady. You are so open to learn. Thank you Heather for putting together this wonderful video for us. These too take an artistic skill. Hugs to you both and to your daughters. Have a wonderfully blessed week! 💜💜💙💙
Such a beautiful comment, and I totally agree with every word. ❤❤
Great that you can pay such skilled and hard working trades people to complete this work . They are amazing.
Wow the house Is coming along. It is going to be absolutely gorgeous with that mortar at the ceiling, the exposed rock, the outside stairs. Wow ?
Happy mother's day
It's going to be beautiful when you're finished it's been a long hard work but you have done so much it's unbelievable
Bradley, I am going to add my own praise here to the numerous other people who are commenting on the ways we have seen you gain so much experience in construction and renovation tasks that you have successfully achieved.
Over time you have become my first show to watch when my different subscriptions pop up on Sunday.
I'm so incredibly happy for you all. You have obviously had a strong image of your new life and home in Italy for some time, and now, through your determined efforts and passion, you've manifested this dream. Go, you!!!!! You've been inspirational!!!Given the right circumstances and be much at a much younger 'age', I would have loved to have done the same thing, but viewing your videos each week, has been truly wonderful. Hmmm! Perhaps my next life! 😛 You are authentic people and I raise a glass to you and to your Italian crew. Best wishes from Lee (Australia) 👏🏻
"Fun, little scaffolding setup." Yeah. I'm tickled pink as I gaze down the gaps in between! Great job today, as always. I love the way you solved the access problems and challenges. ⭐
Brady and Heather.. the amount of work u do to make this house ur home.. for incentive one of these days u will be having ur coffee and n ur terrance , and admiring all the hard work that went in making this house beautiful.. It WILL happen!!!
It's amazing to me how much work you guys have invested in this beautiful stone barn. I am looking forward to seeing the finish house but I do take my hat off to you for what you have accomplished so far. So much work! That place is going to last a lifetime unlike the stick/cardboard houses here in the States :(.
this house should survive a tornado for sure!.....looking beautiful! 🏡
The grey does look good. It shows a muted design element without slapping you in the face. Live with it a while and see how you feel?
crazy to see how fast things are changing now! from endless digging to soon getting paint on the walls!
I can't get enough! I feel part of your family in a way. You are all so nice and normal.
Y'all are doing great! Your house is gonna be beautiful! Be proud of yourself! That was a big undertaking!
Magnificent scenery ❤ I live vicariously through you folks- LOVE your house
Ohhhhh! I can start to see the dream coming together. I'm so excited to see more.
What a genius idea with the way you have turned that ugly looking cement into a work of art. Brady the work you and the stonemasons and all involved with the build are absolutely fantastic and they are experts, you are so lucky to have them. I have so enjoyed watching how you have changed the house over the months and when you first started I thought goodness how are Brady and Heather going to do this? Well you guys are pros. Have a lovely day.
WOW just LOVE WHAT YOU DID with the ceiling!! WOW!!
I’m impressed at how far your coming in preserving your Italian rock form home! Looking forward to future videos DIYs projects and your families future there! Blessings
You are one hard working guy! Everything is looking really good!!!
It felt like we were.watching forever and didnt see progress, but lately its moving quickly into my favorite part!!!
The new cement looks fantastic!! Happy Mother’s Day!
I really love seeing these master craftsmen do the work the way it used to be done. They don’t complain about inconvenience they seem happy in their work. Something missing in America
Your whole process has been fascinating - so many different things to do! Very complicated - can't wait to see the end result. I'm in awe of you & your family and the workers 🙂
I cannot wait for the first room to be completely finished ! It is going to look incredible!!
It’s perfect that it’s the girls room. 😊
Greetings from Chicago! I enjoy your videos with my 96 y/o lady employer! Can't wait to see you all finish your home! Stay safe!
“Yeah, that looks safe…”
And I think it was probably was just fine.
That said, on top of all the weight of the concrete and stone you lift every day, you also carry the weight of your family living far from home.
One of your greatest assets is your “back” - i.e. your health. Your precarious perch on that sawhorse is a good metaphor for the precarious perch you’re building on the side of the mountain. Your family’s future is a heavy load for any dad - and you have a tenuous toe-hold on the side of that mountain. Keep safe for your family’s sake - you all have a lot riding on your safety!
Good luck and God bless you and yours.

Your house is coming along very nicely. I’m really impressed with your group of men you have hired to help with the build/reconstruction. They really have a lot of talent and knowledge. You are very lucky to find them, especially in this day and age, but they are from that area. Much of the old ways of doing things are lost. It’s amazing watching the house come together. Waiting in anticipation to see the progress each week.
So love the way you are making the cement on the walls above the stone it really pops the stones, Brady you are a true artisan! Cannot wait to see Heathers excitement when her and the girls see this.🧡💛🧡
Nice to see some great rewards for all your hard work. It’s nice to see you getting to the point of being able to imagine the outcome of that hard labor.
Hi guys, I was 8 months behind on videos but I made it! I’ve finally caught up and what a transformation, Brady and Heather you should be so proud of what you (and the team) have achieved. What a lovely family you guys are!
Awww thanks so much!!!!
Happy Mothers Day. I hope you’re enjoying the girls today.
I am blown away by the progress you are making! Each step is an inspiration… I want so much for this project to be done and drink a toast to your success! I am learning so much about patience, craftsmanship, and relationships from watching your amazing ❤ journey.
Happy Mother's Day, Heather!
That wheelbarrow lift is total magic. Who had that idea?
Yep, white walls in certain rooms will make the house a lot lighter and brighter inside. I love how you covered up the ugly cement! Awesome!!!
I bet the girls can’t wait to move into their new bedroom 😊
So excited to see all the amazing progress. I find that I’m so invested in his project and look forward to my early Sunday mornings with all of you. Especially your wonderful hard working craftsmen. ❤❤❤😊
The amount of work you and your team do is unbelievable and beautiful too.
Please put church bells back in the intro. Reminds me of our visit to Italy. Great video, Cheers David.
Just a reminder:
Cement is wet
Concrete is solid
I chuckle whenever you reverse the two words. Your work is absolutely incredible and it is so enjoyable watching the construction process. This house is going to be a work of art
Er...... well....if we're going to be pedantic.....
.....cement is a dry powder!!!!
Concrete is a mix, generally, of cement, sand and aggregate.... with water...!!!
This is the first time ever that my mouth dropped and I said OUT LOUD...WOW! THAT IS MAGNIFICENT!! I was so surprised at how beautiful hiding that ugly concrete turned out. Kudos, bravo, and all the rest. Astoundingly beautiful!! I had to rewind and pause on it....several times.
Aww thank you so much!’!! That’s very encouraging
Absolutely amazing what you guys are doing. Particularly love what you have done to cover up the cement work around the roof beams. Looks absolutely stunning. Well done.
I am sooo amazed at all the hard work you've all done on the house! It is turning out amazing!! I have really enjoyed seeing the new stone walls going up, watching the barrows of cement lifted into the air over and over, seeing the new terrace floor and the new floating staircase. The process is really interesting to study; thank you for sharing all of it with us. Happy Mother's Day! 💞 Oh, yes, I love your coffee breaks! ☕
Wow from digging out rocks & stones and lowering the floors of an old barn at the beginning to working on an immaculate interior with beautifully hand hewn pieces & also original artifacts of the mountain, it’s surpassing all expectations! What a transformation! You are amazing!!! Both of you!💙✨🩵🙌 Nothing worth anything is ever easy, but it’s always a satisfaction beyond measure to see all the work, sweat, and tears being formed into joy and an art to celebrate for years to come. I’ve enjoyed all your videos & love seeing your family in the good times & funny things as well. You know, there’s something magical about the view you have too. Cheers from Baton Rouge LA.
That method to cover up the concrete at the top looks amazing and genius, regardless of how it ends up I am sure it will look great.
Thank you. As always, I can't wait for your Sunday updates!!! Kindly tell the girls this Subscriber can't wait 'till school's out & they are apart of your family's Stone House progress! Cheers!
OMG such progress . Thank you for bringing us along. You must be friends with all of those amazing Italian men helping you. Brady and Heather I can now envision your dream home. It is a master piece. ❤️🇨🇦
I love watching your home come to life. I enjoy watching your solutions to problems and your excitement at progress. I’ve become invested in your lovely project and wait for each episode. Your craftspeople are amazing and so cheerful, they must be great to work with. They are generous with their time and expertise and experience. Could we see how the little stream is doing? 🎉🎉🎉😊
I love watching you guys, I find your videos so interesting. The only bad thing I can say is that they are too short, lol. Make longer videos please. I seriously wait eagerly for Sunday to come so I can enjoy your videos with a cup of coffee in the morning. If you make your videos longer I could enjoy two cups instead of one. 😊
Your solution to covering the ugly concrete is gorgeous! I know you said you're going to paint over it to lighten it up, but it's really pretty right now. Well done!
Heather, thanks for explaining why you are covering the stone interior. I admit I was confused about this and had envisioned exposed stone throughout. But I think it makes sense why you need to do this.
With this speed, your family could at least partially move in by Christmas. Great progress! 👍
Love the way you covered the cement. Looks beautiful
The house is coming on at a pace looking great well done to all
This is an epic journey. I love seeing all of the progress.
Happy Mother's Day! I love watching your home come together. My only 'complaint'? I wish your videos were longer! I could watch an hour or more easily!
All I can say is I love the way you work so hard building your home...big ups
That treatment looks like frosting on a gingerbread house. Very artistic!
I’ve never seen metal studs used before. This is fascinating. Good choice.
I appreciate your editing style. You show all the steps involved in a task, and step by step show yourself doing each step. The skills you have learned during this renovation process are like a college degree in construction! Too bad they don’t offer such a degree. But it’s an apprenticeship with some highly skilled masters nonetheless. Thanks for sharing your journey with us!
This place is going to be magnificent! And you have absolutely one of the best views ever! It's so picturesque!
You shared your vision early on. It has been very interesting to watch all of your work as the process towards realization takes place. You never cease to amaze me with your ingenuity - from the rough hewn "logs" that are now beautifully incorporated in your new/future home to turning the bare concrete supporting the roof into an artistically hand molded sculpture. I always look forward to see the progress each week.
Those giant stones on the one wall of the bathroom absolutely 💯 are my favorite feature so far! ❤ If I ever came to Italy to visit, I'd be touching each one 😊
I *love* the round-edged mortar you used to cover up the cement inside. What a clever idea!! I've never seen that done before and the effect is really striking even before final render. What a fantastic and unique talking point for your home too. Genius!
Love the look of the concrete on the walls with the stone. Perfect 👍🏼
Indeed beautiful. Looks a bit Sud Tirolisch to me.
Thank you!!
Recently just started watching your account, and the transformation is amazing, I cannot wait until it is finished
I am glad that you are doing the drywall. The house will be warmer and not damp. Pretty stonearch. Great work happening!
So excited to see how fast everything is moving along g! Hays off to you and your family and your incredible team of Italian craftsmen!! I think you and your viewers will miss them when you are finished. But you will be a master craftsman like them!😊🌸🌺
Wowee! You guys are fantastic, looking forward to seeing your new home finished! Have been watching from the first when you started and I love your whole family! Praying for you all, love and hugs all round! God bless you and your new home!
Bradley would of earned the respect of the local builders for watching then learning to apply that new skill , and more so for doing equal or more so of the hard backbreaking jobs , a true maestro della carriola .
