These change (alllll the time) but to give you a reference on my measurements since we are sewing: I am 5’5” and my measurements are as follows, upper bust 44”, full bust 45.5”, waist 39”, hip 46.5”
I sewn vogue 9100 do a test garment.. I need an C cup and it has lots of ease.. under the arms .. after a few tries it is my Dirty dancing dress lol (I'm 62 :> ) Love it

Some interesting pattern choices, I always love your sewing reveals. Thank you for the pattern sale update at JoAnn’s this past weekend. Receiving my sale brochure from JA is hit or Miss, and I don’t always remember that the first weekend Simplicity and Vogue patterns are on sale. I picked up the 2 patterns I wanted. Happy sewing!

So much fun to see what patterns you bought and hear why you purchased them! I made it to the most recent Simplicity sale to get some outerwear patterns but will probably wind up making two of the easy jackets in fleece and wearing them in my house as it gets cold in here in the winter 🥶! I hope to see that Donna Karan pattern made up by you - definitely not a loose-fitting, dropped shoulder style and I think it will look great on you!
It’s so cold by me too. Yes trying to get thru the two jackets right now while fitting my daughter with her cargos and then I’m off to work on the knit dresses because I know I would wear them around the house.
I've got 4 RTW pouffy jackets in 4 different lengths 2 new from discount racks and 2 thrift store purchases.
I removed the sleeves on all of them and installed zippers so all of them have removable sleeves.
I use a ¾ length one every time i fly anywhere. I stuff the sleeves into a small square pillow case I made out of that fuzzy fabric that resembles bubble wrap for a pillow. And the vest is nice as a blankety cover on the plane. And then I have a dual outerwear for the trip. Was perfect for spring in Europe. Cold windy rainy amsterdam... warm Portugal. Dual purpose. It helps that the one I toke with me is white and low loft

Alex, the Vogue Donna Karan dress is beautiful, and I am sure it will look good on you. I picked up knowMe2058 pattern I plan to make it in fleece a lighter-weight fleece, and color block it. I also got McCall's8434 which is a knit dress that I think would look beautiful on you. Alex, do you sew any New Look patterns? I picked up N6650 and N6574.
My Joanns is 2 pattern releases behind so I can't buy any new patterns there:( Don't know why some stores get them on time and some don't.
That is terrible!!!! How can they not be on time with those pattern releases. I just saw new look patterns today and I passed up on them.
