      @TunerFaction  Год назад

      Hey boss! Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching! I chose the "stock ABS" option for my differential because my car had ABS from the factory. The difference between the ABS and non-ABS differential is that the ABS differential is a bit longer because it has an ABS sensor built in. Therefore, the driveshaft needs to be a bit shorter for the ABS version of the differential. Hope this helps!

    How much you spend total . Ball park including refreshing engine

    • @TunerFaction
      @TunerFaction  2 года назад +1

      In total I have spent somewhere in the ballpark of $30,000 USD on the swap. The number is high because I ended up ditching the R154 and got a brand new transmission which cost $7,200 USD. When I got the cylinder head worked on by Headgames Motorworks, that was another $5,000 USD (that included new cams, valves, springs, shimless buckets, etc.). So it certainly adds up quickly. I will be making a video once my car is running/driving that goes into detail on the price breakdown. Please keep in mind this can be done MUCH cheaper depending on your power goals and how much work you can do yourself. If you wanted to go the cheapest route and you only wanted to make around 300-400hp, you could get away with spending only $8,000-$12,000 USD. Hope this helps Carlos!

      @TunerFaction  2 года назад +1

      @@carlosvazquez8962 Yes very good idea, they are great transmissions. I don't know what car you are swapping, but if you end up doing a swap into the 240sx, the one piece of advice I can give you is to spend at least an hour hammering out the transmission tunnel to fit the CD009. They are beefy transmissions and you want to make sure there is enough room in the tranny tunnel to fit it!

    • @TunerFaction
      @TunerFaction  3 года назад +1

      Nura thanks so much for the kind words! Really happy you enjoyed the video and am stoked that you are planning a 2JZ swap for yourself! So I first want to say that I don't know a whole lot about the auto swap, but I may have a little information that may help you out! First things first, most 2jz-gte-vvti's that you will buy from an importer will already have an automatic transmission attached to it when you buy it, I know mine did. Now I'm not sure if this automatic trans that comes with the 2jz-gte-vvti's would be compatible with the 240sx but that's certainly something to look into! Obviously you won't be buying a clutch kit but in general a lot of the parts listed in the video will be kept the same. You will still need a custom driveshaft and transmission mount and I'm sure that there are aftermarket parts that are made for specifically auto swaps. I would do some searching around to see if you can find any info on parts for a auto swap or people that have already done it. If you can't find any info, let me know and I can see if I can do some searching around at my end. Worst comes to worst you will just have to go manual swap but I think you will have no problem finding people that have done this with an automatic transmission! I wish you luck in your search and if you have any other questions just give me a holler!

      @@TunerFaction Thank you for responding so quickly I really appreciate it and I haven't found one that they did the automatic transmission but we're pretty sure it will from some mechanic friends of ours but hubby is pushing for manual so I might end up having to make the swap regardless. • @TunerFaction
      @TunerFaction  3 года назад

      @@nurarivas4321 Hey no problem, and good call on the manual! I don't think it will be nearly as bad as you think. How much power are you looking to push? That will really end up dictating how heavy/aggressive your clutch is. If you aren't looking for big power numbers, say 300-400whp, you can get away with a real light clutch and traffic won't be an issue!

      Yes it would! I'm doing my swap on an s13 so these parts are specific to the s13.

    Do you have to have switches and can you have ac and heating after doing the swap

    • @TunerFaction
      @TunerFaction  2 года назад

      No you do not need switches as long as you have a standalone ECU to control the accessories you need controlled. I chose to add them because I think they are cool. You can certainly have AC and heating, however it is much more difficult to retain AC. Heating is easy as long as you are going single turbo, but AC is much more difficult for a variety of reasons however it IS possible I'll be it very difficult! Hope this helps!

      @@Tstay352 There sure are some parts I missed man, relays, hose clamps, AN lines, etc. So basically there is a lot of smaller stuff I missed but all of the major components are listed in this video brother!

    No power steering cooling?

      Nope! If I find that it needs it I will add one but I'm almost positive for my setup I won't need one!

    I know this is late but would this work in an s-15

    • @TunerFaction
      @TunerFaction  3 года назад +1

      Hey Emma! So a lot of these parts WILL work for the S15, however some of the chassis specific parts such the exhaust system, engine mounts, transmission mounts, radiator, driveshaft, and other small things like that will need to be changed to suit the S15. In terms of the parts specifically for the engine however, you should be good to go!

    Do most of these parts still apply for S14 chassis?

    • @TunerFaction
      @TunerFaction  3 года назад

      Absolutely! Aside from the exhaust, intercooler kit, and the mounts, all the other stuff will work with the s14!

      Running all of those gauges is cool but it's a ton of extra wires. The computer gets all of that info already so you can get a gauge that displays all of that.

      @@racing4recovery593 hahaha you're absolutely right it was a ton of extra wires and I could have ran a Haltech dashboard or something that displays it all. I just like more of the analog look with all the gauges and I also like the redundancy of having two sensors for all the important engine vitals like oil pressure and temperatures and stuff. To each their own!
