- Mr. James is working as a custodian at Callisburg High School after having to come out of retirement last month due to the rise in the cost of living.
Those kids have an amazing heart . Great Job kiddos . Stay that way forever .

This brings tears to my eyes, not because of the sentiment. It's because our politicians are the reason why measures like this are taken. I am actually angry. Our elderly should not have to be working and worrying about how they will keep a roof over their heads. If it's their choice, that's a different story, but in most cases, they have no choice. I really don't mean to be that guy, but this is a warning for our future people, and it is enviable.

Responsible people can. He obviously didn’t properly plan for retirement by having a house paid off and putting money into IRAs.

@@soph7230 He was in his prime years during the best economic times of the US. My dad was a “working class” person who is now 85, and he has been retired for about 20 years, living in HIS PAID OFF HOUSE!!! He was the single income earner for his wife and 3 kids. We went on vacations every year, he paid for most of his kids’ college costs, and he was RESPONSIBLE with his money, including investing in several IRAs with are still mostly undrawn from. People need to learn how to live within their means and PROPERLY PLAN FOR RETIREMENT!!!!

One of the richest countries in the world, and we need high school kids to plead for money to help a man who's clearly worked very hard in his life, to retire with dignity. Meanwhile, Elon Musk takes $45 billion and poops it away to buy twitter... $45 billion would have helped more than 450 thousand old timers like this guy retire in dignity, and that's being conservative.
