D1 extension like the car door illustration; D1 Extension: I like the "Tennis Backhand". D1 Flexion could be the Preparing/cocking up for the Tennis Backhand :) I use the Drawing Sword and Sheathing the Sword for D2. Liked your "Functional" illustrations !
Thank you so much 😊 i think you’ve missed up on D2 flexion it s a flexion “ arm up” - ABD - EXT.Rot, when u were giving an example of it which is taking the dishes from the dishwasher to the shelf u said “then extend the arm” but it’s a flexion of the arm followed by ABD and EXT.Rot :)
I’m trying to understand the neuro part of this. Would u have pt’s complete the actual movements of d1/d2 especially after a stroke with active assist? One of my pt’s doesn’t have full movement back and I’m just trying to understand better
I am a physical therapist and I appreciate your explanation.
Thank you!
Love your examples in situations where you may use these motions! Much easier way to remember them, Thanks so much!
Glad you found the video helpful!
Thank you. I'm a Korean physical therapist student , I got a lot of help!
This was really good. Please make a video on PNF pattern of lower extremity too.

Yes! At 2 minutes 20 seconds I should have said "I flex and put it on the shelf!" good catch :)

Thanks so much! Trying to cram for Sensory Motor VIVA tomorrow and your explanation might just stick! :)
What is the significance of learning this information for a layman who is seriously involved in physical fitness.
