Why Trudeau's Gun Bans Are Doomed To Fail

  • When Jean Chretien and Alan Rock's Liberal government created the long gun registry in 1993, its annual cost was estimated to be $2M. Less than a decade later the cost had ballooned to over $2 billion. But Justin Trudeau's recent gun bans are going to put that waste to shame. It is inevitable.
Created in the image of New Zealand's rifle ban, Canada's gun bans ignore that our country has an exponentially larger population, vastly higher gun ownership rate, and huge geographic area - to say nothing of their total ignorance of the fact that the vast majority of the guns they seek to ban are untraceable.
The result? A Quixotically untenable proposition that cannot be completed, and like the long gun registry before it, will simply consume more and more taxpayer dollars in the pursuit of the impossible. Thus, until the bans are repealed, there is only one accurate estimate of the cost: Infinite.

What about repealing the entire Firearms Act?

  • @lawrencetierney3697

It is not just a matter or Repealing the Trudeau Gun Laws, it is a matter of the Conservatives enshrining Canadians rights to keep and bear Arms in the Charter of rights and Freedoms and to lift the Handgun ban.

My guns are not for sale

  • @rockymountainlady

Given that my Grandfather had to stack beaver pelts from the floor to the top of a 6-foot-long 12 gauge goose gun to buy it...Trudeau will have to stack $100 bills from the floor to the tip of the barrel for me to just "Think" about it for one second before I gift him black socks and show him where to stuff it.

We need lengthy custodial sentencing for gun crimes and to leave the honest folks alone.

I remember reading a letter I got from the RCMP like two years ago while I was taking a shit. Something about how being in possession of any of those OIC guns was a crime or something and the letter was basically a threat. Anyways, I wiped my ass with it before I realized that actual printerstock paper was going to clog my toilet. I wish the government would have had the decency to print their vague threats on something like a Glad paper towel or some Velour toilet paper.

  • @hankwolbaum4464

Every gun owner must vote conservative.

  • @soundwave14

It’s good to hear from you! Our Gun club had a meet and greet with Pierre Poilievre. He promised to get rid of all this non sense. When I got to meet him face-to-face, he was an absolute genuine gentleman. I hope at some point you consider running for as a federal MP!
