If you're pro-gun control, understand we already have 300 federal gun laws and an estimated 20k on the state and local levels.
The politicians who push for gun control admit it won't stop mass shootings or general gun violence, but they have to do something.
So logic dictates that if you always have to do something after a tragedy and more gun control is always that something, it's inevitable that banning guns outright will be the end solution.
The gun control proponents definitely want to take the guns, as the trajectory in Canada is showing.
Unlike us here in the US, Canada doesn't have any protection for its gun owners.
The guns they can own are regulated exclusively by the federal government.
Long story short, here in America, our government has to convince us to give up our rights, and they do this by exploiting tragedies.

Remember America, if a sitting President thinks it's ok to say an amendment is not absolute, what stops at that one amendment?
Amendments can be changed, not saying I think the 2A needs to be changed. Just saying that an amendment could be passed that makes a previous amendment null in void.

Because they don't want you to defend yourselves this is on purpose for their gain.
People in higher positions tend to over time get detached from reality, or rather they live in their rich person reality for so long that no one else’s reality really matters to them. They want to target guns to make the people weaker and more helpless which will turn into greater government dependence. They want to turn themselves into dictatorial gods of their own nation, and the only way they can do that is if the people are sheepish and weak enough to allow it. That’s why checks and balances were put in place to try to keep that power hunger at bay. However, that can only be effective if there are enough people to vote in the right kinds of people. Even then though it would seem people have figured out how to cheat the voting anyways. If people really wanted to fight the system, they would have to fight outside the system’s rules and be labelled a terrorist by the government for it. It isn’t possible to fight the system while playing by the system’s rules because too many know how to manipulate it. There is too much corruption because of the people who allowed those people into office to the point that it’s seemingly impossible to get that corruption out playing by the rules. We pretty much screwed ourselves.

The problem is you can only resist / not comply for so long before you either have to fight or give in. The time to fight was long ago and nobody is doing anything but whining on the internet. If that's our best defense it's only a matter of time before we're completely disarmed. And even in the places where you can still fairly easily possess firearms good luck to you if you actually defend yourself with them. Most likely, once you get out of prison, you will never legally own one again. The entire system is corrupt and way beyond saving. We either fight now or accept whatever they have coming for us once we're totally helpless

In the modern usage of the word, "regulated" means to to bring under the control of authority. In the late 18th century it meant to be proficient or trained. There is literally nothing in the Second Amendment that speaks about controlling or restricting the types of arms the "People" can own.

It is outright illegal to hunt dear with anything smaller than a 30 caliber in some states I know of around Oklahoma. and some States back east you could only use a shotgun .Montana however the law was just use a bullet big enough to do the job .it's been 20 years since I've been deer hunting in these places .so I'm sure some laws of changed they always do.

I thought that Canada was sensible, but the last couple of decades have just shown that they want to become like the UK, another country made up of subjects (serfs) rather than citizens. People really need to consider these laws that set a precedent, even if it's something you agree on or sympathize with.
In Canada they also passed a law in 2016 that made it illegal not to refer to someone by their preferred gender pronoun.
On the surface it was said to be a law designed out of "compassion for the oppressed", in reality it was the first time an English commonwealth nation dared to pass a law that compelled speech.
Now that Pandora's box is forever opened for them to exploit in the future.
It's sort of like a local or state government passing a temporary tax to pay for something, usually a very small amount.. happened in our county with emissions testing..started out free, then it was $3, then $5, $8, $10, $12, $15.. where it currently stands.. for a "temporary" tax
I wonder if we could get a bill passed that stops allowing for the police and the three letter agencies from being exempt from any and all gun legislation so that when a new law is passed, they must follow it too.

Here in CA today we had High School students walk out of class and rally DEMANDING gun control. News was all over it while students yelled into microphones. Not one reporter asked ANY student to recite the existing gun laws already on the books. I'd bet the farm that none of them knows about waiting period, background check, written gun law test, safe gun handling demonstration, required gun locks, registration (public record ), and background check to buy ammunition.
Yeah, let's take the word of someone who cannot even legally purchase a gun when it comes to gun control laws. No wonder the left wants 16 year olds to vote. Most leftists are children in adult bodies anyway.
The high school I work at here in CA didn't do shit. The kids I talked to said they're more concerned about finals and graduating to start their journey into adulthood then being used as mouth pieces.

There’s a real good reason kids aren’t allowed to decide anything important. And consider this, these Cali. kids have a good chance of being the same types who support gender changing, etc... They realize that because of their misguided beliefs that there are people , especially in Cali, who’d as soon get rid of them as look at them. And that causes them concern. Or,,, some gun control, maybe even gay loving adult put them up to it. Democrats do that, you know.

Handguns fall under "Restricted" categorization and it's really no more difficult to get that license than the regular "Non-Restricted" license. The rules are just a bit different in the way of Purchase (need a gun club membership and a valid RPAL [Restricted Posession & Acquisition License] which requires a multi-day training course and a practical and written exam that you pay for from your own pocket on your own time and dime), Transporation (you can only go a legally recognized range, and no where else so long as a Restricted is in your vehicle, and when in vehicle needs to be in a locked box with a trigger guard), Storage, and legal areas you can use them
in Canada, you cannot legally go out plinking in the bush with Handguns, nor have you been allowed to hunt with them for a super long time, and especailly no such thing as self defence. The only reason a Canadian can reason with to have one is competition shooting (Yes, we have IPSC here and others like it) but uh.. well see how long that continues to last for...

Hi, Colion. I'm a Canadian and I'm with you. Wanted to let you know that a few months ago I tried to order one of your really cool t's, similar to the one you are wearing in the video. The app kept dumping my order and erasing the file preventing me from completing the order. It's the same reason that the Black Rifle Coffee Co. logo and product have been banned here as well. Apparantly the ubiquitous image of an AR-15 is just too scary and offensive for Canadian folks to handle in the opinion of our liberal federal government.
