Thank you so much for keeping your feeds going. I enjoyed your PCT trek and I look forward to your commentaries as you reflect on your and Honey Bear’s great accomplishments and as you provide your comments and opinions about your gear and experiences.
Thank you for your fun and informative videos traveling the PCT. How did the Omigo Bidet work out? Did you try other bidets before deciding on this one?
Thank you for doing your PCT videos, it was fun to follow along. I really enjoyed your videos because they felt more raw and real than some from other channels that feel overproduced and too heavily sound-tracked. Question: What would you recommend for 500 continuous miles on the PCT, where would you start/end?
Have been really interested in what type of food you eat, how much you carry with you, etc. For me, going ultralight, food carry is really important. So, I'm curious how you do it and your strategy.
Did you get tired of bold tuna. Is what became your next favorite. What was your best strategy for keeping the weight low for your resupply. Respect, I don’t recall you ever complained about how difficult, arduous or trying the climbing is/was. So what was your climb strategy ? When I asked a bad-lass who was obviously an athlete. Her reply was “ I start climbing and don’t stop till I get to the top”. And wow your partner/accomplis she seemed unstoppable. Did you always try to stay within eyesight .Or sometimes miles or hours apart. Do you think she is one of those remarkable women that could have soloed if she desired.
Sorry for the gear questions: What gear did you find to be the least used in your pack? And, what gear did you send home for not being used while hiking.
Not being from your part of the world....how do you deal with possibility of mountain lion and bear encounters..... mentally and physically?.... that's the only aspect I find terrifying...so very glad you didn't have more encounters than in those last days.🌄👍🙂
If you had one bag/quilt to take on the PCT what degree rating did you use? (for example 20 degree) If it wasn’t warm enough, what rating would you recommend? I know men sleep warmer generally so Honey Bear would be more than welcome to chime in on this question as well.
Please tell us something about yourselves. I always like to know about the people - where they grew up. where they went to school, or what service they saw, etc. What they do for a living. What talents and hobbies they have. Also, where did you get your sense of humor.. Thanks!
What are the odds of getting a permit when applying? I feel like its at best 50/50 but its hard to commit mentally to getting prepared when you have no idea if you'll get one. Dying to do it this upcoming season when I can pull it off with my schedule, but I guess it comes down to the luck of the draw. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks, Mike
Answering now to ease your anxiety but will go more in depth in the follow up. It's very likely you will get a permit. We got the dates we wanted and the spots in line we got had a lot more dates available. I'll kind of tell you our strategy on it but honestly I wouldn't worry too much about it. First round of permits will be in November so you'll at least know where you stand before second round so you can make accommodations job wise.
So pleased you are continuing your channel.

Are White Claws ultralight?

I plan on having her on for the answers portion so she'll have some great insight on that one!

What was the most challenging part ( or situation) of the PCT for you?
