Yeah we had a great experience North of NorCal and didn't really have any bug pressure at all. I did get bit/stung by a bee on this alternate but didn't document that terror on this one
It's something I've considered before. The one Rud has is a bit small but something like the Gatewood Cape from Six Moon Designs seems to be one of the best on the market. Not sure which one she used
We were quite impressed with Ramona Falls. Great lunch spot and it was so cool seeing so many people out on backpacking trips and happy about it. What a treat that area and it's trails are.
Welcome to the Pacific Northwest and Portland coming from a fourth-generation Portlander. When your In Portland check out Forest Park if you have time or if not come back and visit or live, one of the biggest parks and trails in the city limits in the US.Born and raised in NW Portland, I love it.🤙🏾
I love everything about the PNW. This has been my most looked forward to section ever since we started. The desert and Sierras were incredible but the PNW owns my heart
Thank the Lord for a good mood! Man oh man! Life is good again! Majestic views!
I am a curmudgeon by nature unfortunately!
Wet but cool and no biting flies or mosquitoes. 🦟

I saw Homemade Wanderlust use the poncho type tent. Looked pretty cool. Thanks for the video.
