Thank you so much!
Thank you!

Thanks Tomo!
You're very welcome! Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing Tomo, I like the sound of that orange wood because it stops the notes from ringing so I can really hear the jazz line notes you were playing open up. The 1625 is a great progression, wonderful for song writing or just jamming the drop 3rd also sounds wonderful! Thanks again for sharing.
You're very welcome! My pleasure! Thank you so much!
You're an amazing guitar player and teacher. Thank you for sharing your guitar wisdom. It really has taught me a lot!

Very cool Mr. Fujita
Thank you so much!
I'm a unable to say how much pleasure I have to learn music lesson and langage too... Yout explanations are the most of the time perfectly understable even for me, a french !
Thank you for give us these kind of peacefull in music theory approach.
The sound of this guitar is so well in accordance with this lesson : simplicity, patience to learn, different sound... Almost like the impression I have when I practice on my Godin nylon Multi Ac without amplifier.
You gave me the whish to welcome to a Black Juniper Rubber bridge guitar in my home, but saddly, Orangewood is not sale in France for the moment.
So I'll wait for the moment they'll find a dealer in France or in Europe.
Thank you so much! So happy to hear that! My English is my 2nd language so I try to say thing clearly and I don't assume people understand anything easy. I don't mind to repeat same thing over and over. My job is to make people happy. My music theory is not coming from any books. Coming from music & my musical experiences. I love simplicity & limitation. One way you can do is to find your friend who lives in USA... then ask that person to buy it & ship it. Thank you.
@@TomoFujitaMusic 🙏🏻 That's so precious that we can have a conversation despite the distance and the language. Thank you so much for understanding en reply to my message. My knowledge in music are "light", I've learned to play guitar by myself long time ago, listening and watching musiciens. I've had the chance to be able to play and sing (my first contact with the music), on stage many times a year, still today.
Today in retire, I've more time to give to the music, and the web give me so many informations I missed. You've a special place in my RUclips « coach team", because of your spirit of teaching and personnality.
One more time, thank you for your kindness.
@@andremetayer1467 Thanks so much for your reply! Beautiful story! Thank you for sharing! You can learn more at my Guitar Wisdom.
Stand by me is my favorite song ever written still after playing for 37 years and it’s so simple.

Tomo you never talk to much and I like your jokes. You really make guitars sings like no other person can
So happy to hear that! Thank you so much!
I can hear it! I’ve often played this pattern lazing on the couch. Interesting guitar. Old times, modern touches. Cool lesson. Cheers-

19:07 -- from Jazz to Funk! Whoa!!! Who knew that Jazzy-sounding guitar could get so Funky!!
You are an exceptionally good Funk guitarist. But you probably already knew that.
Thank you so much! I love funky rhythm!
@@TomoFujitaMusic Do you know Erino Yumiki? Fantastic player, great rhythm, cool funk vibe in much of her playing.
I know a 1-6-2-5 progression when I hear one, Tomo! 🎶💘🎸💖🎵Cheers! \|/
Good job! Thank you!
I was just learning "unchained melody" and surprisingly it has this exact progression, i vi ii v!! Thank you for this video, it's nice to understand in a much clearer way what I'm playing 😁 it was really helpful!
(I got the songs mixed, it was unchained melody not put your head on my shoulder haha)
Thank you so much for sharing! Many great song has same & similar chords. Just like colors... we like similar colors in general. You're very welcome! So happy to hear that! Glad to be helpful!
I always think of that as the 'Blue Moon' progression. I'm sure there are dozens or maybe hundreds of other songs that have used that.
Thank you for sharing! Many songs has similar chords! Fun!
Something about that guitar's tone reminds me of "Waikiki" by 1946. I'd like to hear some crooning, steel, and uke with it :P
Thank you for sharing! Awesome!
🙏 Tomo San 🙏
Thank you!
Many thanks for your Video, Tomo. If I may do a proposal for topic. Do you have already a video about which Camera/Mic combination you use to make your videos? Or which software you use to process? That would be very interesting. Many thanks.
You're very welcome! Thank you for sharing! For these RUclips videos... two mics. No software. Simple!
I use a Canon XA40 Camera & Two Sennheiser - mkh600 microphones.
That C shape down the neck takes work to get it right. I used to practice it from going From F major, to the that C shape. It helps me to put my bar finger down first. I I'm new guitar wisdom student and it has made a huge difference in my playing already. thank you again Mr. Tomo Fujita Sama.
Thank you for sharing! You're very welcome! Thank you!
The number of cords that a person should know depends on the music that they are playing. Different styles of music have different cords in them. Speed metal and jazz use different cords.
Thank you for sharing!
Buy the modern method for guirtar. The digital version is super simple on 21 dollars. It's the second best thing I've done other than coming here and being a pain in the neck! At least if you want to be able to communicate effectively. I'm so embarrassed. I don't know beats or measures.I can do it, but if you said, play me 8th notes....???? Huh. Show me. Oh ok i can do that. I've already accumulated some of the skills, but I'm starting from the first page. It's all been right here for me, and I looked right past it. Many, many thanks!
I keep coming here cause ppl are sick of hearing me talk about this, but I'm proud of myself! I just did the first exercise in the book sight reading, and i did it right! I'm not trying to make it sound easy. If it was, i would have gotten rid of this thing two years ago! It's doable! I'm 45. And the internet says I'm too old. And my brain will be slow. Well, I've never written a thing down til two days ago. It's all up in my head! So never let anyone tell you you're too old. You're not. Or, too, whatever.
My brain is a chaotic mess at times. SO IF I CAN DO IT ANYONE CAN DO IT.
Thank you for sharing! I teach this book entirely at my Guitar Wisdom!
Good job! Thanks for sharing! Do it slow & repeat a lot!
tomo i love your lessons
question: what do you think about 4th tuning
(like on a 6 string bass E to C ?
thank you for what you do 🙏❤️👌👌👌
So happy to hear that! I love normal regular tuning. You're very welcome!
Sounds like filling up my cup.
Thank you so much!
Please release a song with Juanes 😭😭
Yes! We will... we are working on song together now.
Cool, sad, sad, resolve. 👍
Awesome! Thank you!
What should a new student to Guitar Wisdom expect? Is there an order one should view your video's?
Thanks for sharing. You can watch introduction video at my Guitar Wisdom site. I am working on new videos about lesson plan for 3 types people. Thank you.
Sorry to ask such a question, but that guitar looks really interesting. What is it?
Thank you so much! All information in description.
@@TomoFujitaMusicThank you! Apologies for not looking there first. Thanks also for the lesson. As a self-taught player who’s been noodling, practicing, playing for 100 years but still at the intermediate level (I’d love to think “advanced intermediate” but probably not), simple lessons like this help me a lot.
@@jysmtl You're very welcome! You can join my Guitar Wisdom then you won't waste your valuable time!
I've been playing piano for almost 30 years. Do you think that will be an advantage for me learning to play guitar?
Thank you for sharing! Yes and no.
Dumb question that always hangs me up when looking at theory. At 1:22 when you start, why is your first note a B flat and not A sharp? Aren't they both the same note?
Good question! Bb note & A# are same note but different function.
This case, Key of Bb... very common key. So 1 6 2 5 is Bb G C F... Very strange to think A# G C F ...
Basic theory
@@TomoFujitaMusicThank you very much! My music theory has a lot to be desired but I'm always learning! 🙂
@@STVG71 You're very welcome! A little more... not so much. You can learn them.
1 6 2 (4) is written, should it be 1625
Thank you, I fixed it!
I am only able to recognize a 1-6-2-5 because of the spongebob song ripped pants 😂 of course i know plenty of other songs; but in my brain its always like, "is it ripped pants? or something else" haha
Good job! A great start!
do you have any tips for palm muting with no pick? i DESPISE picks, but want to do muting...should i get a thumb pick or something?
Actually same way! Please watch my finger picking videos!

Yes! I love simplicity and limitation!
Wait isn’t drop 2 the other way around? So you take the high pitch note and you drop it down an octave?
Please watch it again! Very simple!

What tye of guitar?
Orangewood Guitars. Rubber Bridge Guitar. More details in description.
That guitar sounds like a ukulele, does work on your excellent jazz chordage though
Thank you for sharing! Very unique tone!
