Hey Tomo, I would like for you to do a finger picking video. There are many videos on this subject but I would like your take on it because you're always honest and easy to understand. Thanks for your wisdom.
Shell chords was my introduction/gateway to learning more chords and then incorporate the chords into melody and starting to play more and more like Joe Pass's style of full sounding, melodic solo guitar. It's perfect for bossa too
this is one of those licks i learned by ear but never had a name for it. i love when there's that tension and release between that tritone in the chord and the 3rd.
Thank you so much! I teach more detail lessons at my Guitar Wisdom. Each video has all informative built in the screen of videos so you won’t miss anything. You’re very welcome!
The greatest secrets of professional guitarist. Using minimal notes and minimal movement to create master pieces that can be played for hours and every day for hours. Awesome demo Master Tomo. ❤
Saw you tonite in Boston at the Juanes show in Orpheum, you were cooking, great sounding! The guitar you were using looks like this one your demonstrating with..
Thank you very much. This lesson sets some order in my mind. Things are clear now. Also, I have that switch on my strat too. Now I know why and when to use it. Have a good day.
Thank you for the good instruction and good vibe. I am new player and still enjoy the advanced vids you do. I am enjoying the nice black cup I purchased while I practice!
Gotta say, mr. Fujita here is hands down the best teacher of music theory ever, the guitar part is pretty damn good but with theory, you have a superb talent to dissect subjects to something anyone can understand. Great stuff👌
So happy to hear that! Thank you so much! I use Ear Training & Theory together without any books! The sound & simple explanation is the best way to learn this. Thank you so much!
I'm selftaught with guitar and when i started playing, there was no interwebs to search info and i was shredding away 15 yrs before even considering a metronome or bother to learn simple sub divisions when playing. So yeah, it's a mess in a way😂, but i always had music playing in my head and it has just started to connect to the fretboard, boy is it exciting to play guitar. But you dont play with your fingers, you play with knowledge. Thanks for sharing yours, really really helps connect the dots. I'ma learn me some triads when i get back to my guitar🫵👌
Thanks for sharing! I think your energy toward music & guitar is so great! Be pride yourself! Now you can have a few choices & some knowledges that make you better player! Thank you! @@tiberman9159
Hi Tomo...long time since a chat. I think besides music shapes... understanding, without looking.... to feel with each played note or chord, in a breath, heartbeat.... in spirit. Music can touch the spirit, soul and emotion. Any player, to develop.... must feel. The only way that I know that a player without understanding feels music is for their teacher to guide them to reflection... all song is from reflection. In 45 years, I am still a student... not of learning notes, but of feeling and creating... to share for a good cause. I mentioned this before.... John Lee Hooker... disconnect for an hour, listen to Thats Where Its At.... shut your phone and TV OFF. In quiet... listen. Life changing... for more than just the music. Get back with me after listening. You will thank me. Happy playing - Mark
Thank you for sharing! Feeling is so important on playing guitar and basic theory is also super important if someone want to keep improving. I am a forever student. So great!
Great lesson, as always, thanks Tomo! I spent the last 3 years learning piano and read a lot of jazz harmony theory so my knowledge got quite good, relative to my jazz piano playing, which never got very good! Now I'm learning to play some guitar I'm so glad I learned a little of that theory. Connecting the chords in interesting ways, instead of vague, boring ones, seems to mean so much more to me on guitar. Maybe it's because of physically touching the strings myself and being able to see the movement (I'm a visual person). It's very timely for you to do this video, gives me plenty to practice over the weekend. 😃
So happy to hear that! Thank you so much! Good job! Harmony, Ear Training both are so important. Most RUclips Social Media Guitar Players are playing by eyes! That's why they are stuck same place! These chords are so useful but you need to know which note is 3rd? 7th? Please enjoy!
@@TomoFujitaMusic Thanks so much!. Your generosity of spirit is something many, many people could learn from. Have a great weekend Tomo. And tell your students that this random guy from YT says they are the luckiest guitar students!
"... that's nothing to do with the lesson..." Yes, but it's so much *fun* to listen to!! I don't know if I'll ever be good enough to play any of that, but I really enjoy hearing it.
thank you so much for your lessons, always feeling guilty for watching it for free.. could you do a lesson on : chords without roots and how to outline them in context? struggled within my band, the bass always plays the roots, i dont feel the necessity to present the roots
You're very welcome! Thank you for sharing! You can join my Guitar Wisdom. That wound be great! Yes, 3rd & 7th ... Very important too! This lesson, you can just use 3rd & 7th! Easy! Thank you so much! Juanes is so sweet person! I just played with him last night in Boston! I love playing with Juanes & his band! So good! Great people!

Thank you for sharing! Not hard at all! Very simple but you need to know which note is what? 3rd? 7th? Thanks so much! I alway sing other parts! That way the attack on rhythm is better than La La La...

I needed this !! I damaged my pinky on my fret hand and it won't bend anymore so I only have the first 3 fingers and I need to learn again what I'm able to play !! Thank you
So happy to hear that! Thank you so much! You need just one finger one string! Two fingers... all good! Please take limitation with positive mind all the times.

Wonderful! Can't wait to see them.
I like when you're suddenly starts to play something "nothing to do with lesson" cuz it is very classy and teaches happiness and feel and taste
"Nothing to do with lesson" is my thing! That's how I teach my private students so they will ask more questions to find out! Thank you so much!
Lunch break and Tomo lesson in Italy too. Thanks Tomo
