  • In this video, I will give you the answer to the good old question "How to keep bettas together?" and I will also show you how to set up a female betta sorority tank. I had a lot of fun setting up this tank and creating this video, so I hope you will enjoy it too.

    What a beautiful tank! I just bought my first female white dumbo ear betta this afternoon. Such a princess. Stumbled upon your video out of curiosity on the makings of a sorority tank. Such stunning fish!

    Hi, stumbled upon your video while researching before getting a betta sorority
    Just wanted to tell you I loved your video. Your editing is incredible, your information is on point and you are really funny!
    Also great that you took the time and effort to show your fishies individually, I loved every second of it ❤
    Thank you for your hard work and the great life you give to your fish!

    I'm not sure if you've heard or not about the recent study done on betta aggression.
    It's actually possible to keep multiple males together with the new data but you need to specifically keep wild type or their very close cousins.
    Not only have domesticated bettas been intentionally bred for increased aggression but they also have much higher rates of inbreeding after all the years of chasing specific color patterns/body designs.
    This also applies to female bettas so if you keep more wild type variants you will have a much higher chance of a peaceful tank.

      @@adventuresofheidi1049 stay tuned for the hot mess then 😂 I’ll probably just start with only one for now until I get the hang of it then graduate to a bigger tank

    I like the editing you did with the fish pictures moving & spinning around.
    Also I always wanted to have a female betta tank. Have you experienced much agression with them? (Im thinking of trying a sorority in a 25g tank)

    • @Abromandis
      @Abromandis  7 месяцев назад +2

      No, I haven't experienced much aggression. When I first added them to the tank, some of them would flare up and chase each other around. But after some time they started to live completely peacefully together. After posting this video, I haven't once seen any aggression from my bettas.
      If you do set up a female betta tank, then I wish you the best 👍

    How have you been doing with the hillstreams? They are one of my favourite fish but I haven't had much luck with keeping them.

    • @Abromandis
      @Abromandis  6 месяцев назад

      They were doing very well at the start, but over time I have been losing some of them and I am not sure why. The ones I have left seem to be happy and healthy, so I hope I don't lose anymore.

    I added 4 new females to my sorority and everyone died within 3 days. I think they were stressed. Have you ever heard of that happening?

    • @Abromandis
      @Abromandis  6 месяцев назад +1

      No, I can't say that I heard of something like this happening. It could be because of stress, but I believe that there is something wrong with the water. Maybe you added the fish before the tank was fully cycled, or there could be unwanted chemicals in the water, are you sure that it's RODI water or tap water that has been treated with an aquarium water conditioner. Another possibility is that the aquarium may have been too small.
