It wouldn't have been an easy life for him back then, and I'm glad they brought him back to be buried in this beautiful place. Thank you for Patrick's story, GV.
What a great story, Patrick is resting in a very beautiful place
great story about Patrick Murphy........ thanks for sharing.... beautiful graveyard.......
Beautiful. Green rolling hills. This is how I picture Ireland.
Looks like a very serene place for a final rest. Interesting story about Patrick Murphy, thanks for sharing it.
0:45 what a gorgeous, beautiful view & location.
I could sleep there for 1,000 years, as the Velvet Underground song says.
Beautiful graveyard! Well kept. Very interesting story. So glad his friends gave him a beautiful stone❤❤
Evening GV and Sue . A lovely place .Amazing story about Patrick the giant. The cross and church still stand tall after all these years.Thank you so much.❤
Such a lovely graveyard. So full of history. Unfortunately for giants, they don’t tend to live long. He likely had a tumor on his pituitary gland which controls growth hormone. They lead physically challenging lives and often resort to making a living in circuses. I hope he rests in peace. Great surname however. Matches my own…
Hello G V and thanks for sharing. GIANTS ARE INTERESTING AS ARE SMALL PEOPLE.
What an amazing cemetery beautiful backgrounds

Interesting story GV. Thank you...and lovely cemetary
Beautiful green pastures and mountains surrounding this very wellkept cemetery with lovely flowers on the graves. Interesting story, poor Guy. Smallpox was very dangerous back then.
Very interesting.. informative and well presented.. Nicely done. History mystery....😊🎉
Hi GV, beautiful cemetery, so nice to see how well kept it is. 😊
What a beautiful place to rest. Thank you Cathal for this interesting video.
Thank you GV
It was so sweet that the people who cared about Patrick did all this for him. I wonder if his parents were still alive? Thank you for sharing his story. RIP Patrick ❤
Beautiful👍👍👍
Nice remembering of Patrick Murry. I have degenerative disc disease and young woman I was 5'10". Now I am 5'9". The taller a person is the more bone problems can occur. That is my doctors explanation of my shrinking down so much. Perhaps Mr. Murray had the same issue. He had a cane. Thank you for sharing.
Good one GV a lovely cemetery I heard voices like whispering 👻👻👻👻
Great story about Patrick Murphy. I love the Celtic cross at the top of his grave. It is beautiful. I forget how green Northern Ireland is. I liked this graveyard with the very old church. The best were the headstones that looked run-of-the-mill but the designs at the tops of each were intricate, unique cut designs. Very pretty - all of it. ♥️☘️
Beautiful ruins and graveyard. Very interesting story about Patrick Murphy, may he rest in peace 🙏
Great video, thank you very much GV and Sue. Have a great weekend 😀
Great video GV, but my gosh that scenery 😍😍😍 made me want to dig out my passport and visit beautiful Ireland again. I haven't been over for 5 years and that's 4 years 11 months too long 🇨🇮

What a story! Im glad Patrick has such a beautiful place to rest. Gorgeous scenery. Thanks so much GV!
Great history lesson
Lovely peaceful cemetary. ♥️. I enjoyed the stroll through it, it was great to see the respect still given for the markers.
What beautiful scenery with the grand old cemetary. So sad he died so young like so many did back then from disease😢. Excellent video GV, love the old church as always. Thanx for remembering and for your time❤😊. Love you guys😊❤
Fascinating report and video. I'd heard of this man from my father who told me a little about this mans story when I was a child, so to hear your own telling of Mr. Murphy's story and to visit his grave with you felt really special. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Interesting story of Mr. Murphy. Thanks for that.

Your videos are always great, but this one was especially interesting. Thank you for regularly posting your excellent videos for us 🕊️❤️😊
Glad you like them!
Hello Grave Visitations, what a cool video. I can't even imagine building a ten-foot coffin. Sad to hear he died of Smallpox. I hope you and Serenity Sue can come to the States and visit New England where I originally from. I think you will find that Vermont is a lot like Ireland. Keep these videos coming. I enjoy them a lot. Cheers Jean Crosby Nashville TN USA
“Vermont” means “Green Mountain” in French. Green like “The Mountains of Mourne” in this video.
The body of Admiral Nelson was brought home in a barrel of rum to preserve his body. (Strong alcohol is a preservative). They probably did the same for Patrick Murphy.
New subscriber here, I have binge watched your videos! there are so many beautiful cemeteries in Ireland. I would love to visit them. ❤ from Edinburgh
Thanks and welcome
Top number GV,hop out of the rain mate,May Patrick and all R.I.P safe travels mate,🙏🙏👋👍🇦🇺
These "giants" are impressive when you see them in person. I knew another "giant" at 7' 2" who lived in my area for his last 20 or so years, Richard Kiel. The only villain, "Jaws", to appear in 2 James Bond movies. A gentle giant and a very kind man. He passed in 2014 and is buried in a simple grave in Fresno, CA.
Those mountains remind me so much of the mountains of North Carolina where my grandparents and other relatives lived!
Thank you so much for your very interesting commentary. RIP Patrick Murphy. Stay safe and keep well, from Zora in Australia.
Hi GV bit late, just viewed Sues video. 28 not very old poor Patrick. Some nice headstones still readable . Nice cross for Patrick, liked the video.
Thanks Stephen 👍 check out my mort safe grave video I put up last night

Cathal thiswas a great video and really enjoyed it, and I'm really glad since you were in Down County, that it wasn't a real Downer of a story.😅
Patrick Murphy may you reast in peace your story really interested me thankyou for sharing your video and this story I really love Irish history as I've got Irish heritage
Thanks for watching 🇮🇪
Sounds like a tall story to me.😂
Beautiful graveyard..Wonderful story of Patrick Murphy sad he died so young..Rest In Peace 🙏
Handsome young man. Thank you for sharing this video. May he rip Amen 🙏.
An autopsy probably would have revealed his organs were all larger than normal...save for his liver, which would have been of standard Irish proportions. 😉🍀🍻
Lovely video. I love how you pronounce Murphy, my maiden name 😊. May Patrick rest in peace 🙏🏻
Glad he got to see some of the world before he passed❤ May He Rest In Peace❤
About that tombstone to which a later brass plaque was added, the brass was so highly reflective of the mass of clover in front of it, that when I first saw it, I thought a perfect rectangular hole had been cut in the stone; and that I was looking through it to more clover beyond!
Beautiful
I had a friend in high school that when we graduated he was at the height of 8 foot 4 inch tall I'm 5'3''' ta!l and we had the same waist size.
That is super tall
RIP Patrick 🖤🌹
Grazie GV ❤ per averci fare vedere la tomba di questo ragazzo gigante
Thanks Again!! : ))
Sounds like you caught another EVP right at the end, after you said your goodbye. I hope Patrick will rest in peace, thank you for the story. ❤
So beautiful, thank you!
What gorgeous countryside! Thank you! Poor man. It must have been very difficult life for him.
Being so tall has its defaults I suppose. Bad health and bones
Oh youve found a beautiful place to visit💚😊
Thats very interesting G V.awh poor man
thank you friend for the beautiful video
Thanks for visiting
Great video mate 👍🏻 ☘️
evening from nyc; another movie idea; what if you and sue are doing your walks your explorations; but this time something follows you home
A very interesting character. Great video once again, thank you
GV I wonder about these grave burials inside these small churches and it doesn't seem to make sense to me to bury people in them when it was in use, so perhaps people got permission to be buried after it was de-consecrated and closed, just thinking? lovely video thanks x
Beautiful graveyard.... ❤
The scenario is beautiful place to be laid to rest…
Great history ..great people X thankyou
Quite a tall guy back in the day.
That is a very nice view.
It would be great to find his bed frame that was used years later as a window frame!Great video mate😀
We never found it Mark 😂 maybe next time
@@GraveVisitations 😀👍👍
What a beautiful cemetery with lots of history
Don't forget that there was another giant called Walter Ludlow
I've heard of him in America
Do you mean Robert Wadlow?
In the Star Wars trilogy Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca was 7'2. Pat would've been an even taller Wookie.
Bro
U enter in old and wornout places like graveyards
U have a long wooden stick in your hand and check the long grass and bushes so some snake types of things might present and after checking then proceed.
I m very fond of ur vlogs
Asif from Pakistan
We don't have snakes in the country 😁
That area is in the famous “Mountains of Mourne”. The American singer Don McClean sang about them.
“…but I’d much rather be….where the Mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea.”
Never knew that cheers 👍
Oh what a shame he passed so young gv 😊 I would love to be tall wasn't to be 😊
Maybe packed on ice so no putrefaction🤢 would start.
There is documented evidence that giants used to exist and their DNA is passed down to this day that is why you see the occasion of unusually tall people. x
👍
