Wow! The place looks so peaceful, and well kept. With the exception of the trash thrown into the crypt. Who or what kind of person would do such a thing. Disrespecting the dead like that. I hope all there is resting in peace. Also hope you and Sue keep safe and well. I would love to go to some of the graveyards and cemetery's here in the states. I also wanted to mention how I like that you speak quietly in respect to the dead. Sometimes I think if I were independently wealthy, I would donate my time and money to help clean up and maybe rebuild then seal up old crypts.
Very interesting video Cathal definitely a good find the bones in the mausoleums are something else wouldn't you imagine the grounds keeper would put rocks to cover the holes in fear of animals running off with the bones. You and Sue are a brilliant team yous do everything with respect and sincerity. Very good my friend.
I'm pretty sure that was an animal femur guys. The masonry work in this one is truly amazing, with some elements I've never seen before. Thanks for getting 'down there' to show us inside those sorry looking crypts. Your enthusiasm and excitement comes through the screen, making me feel like I am there with you.Thank you for getting me out and about for a while, lol! Deb of Oz. XX
Another brilliant walk with you! I enjoy every trip, all the history and surprises! I love how excited Serenity Sue gets and both your empathy to the departed.
Thank you for such a fabulous video. The work on the stones was definitely done by hands who had their gift from God and put alot of time and love into each one. Thanx for bringing us along.❤😊❤😊
Amazing how some of these graveyards are forgotten only to be unearthed with amazing history. I hope the restoration goes well. The McCarthy mausoleum is stunning. Finding the coffin draped in new cloth very interesting. What they have done with the restoration of the tomb thus far is spectacular masonry. Would love to see this in the future at some point. I hope they continue without difficulty.
What an amazing find! The restoration of that mausoleum is beautiful! So glad someone decided to restore this lovely grave yard! So many bones!! Your enthusiasm is contagious. I feel like I am walking with you two. I laughed when you spotted the new lock and small hole in the door, if you could look in you would have😅. Loved this tour!💕

Hello GV from Western Australia. I really enjoy these walks through old graveyards. Some of the headstone inscriptions can be so sad but give us a glimpse of life in those days. Thanks for the interesting walks.
@@GraveVisitations I can understand that but isn’t it a shame that you can’t do that? There are a few idiots out there who think knocking down headstones or moving them is fun. When I first moved to the town I live in someone stole a huge cast iron urn from our oldest cemetery. The paper said it was probably sold as a garden ornament. This same cemetery has some beautiful headstones. 1 is a girl coming down a set of steps, it looks like she’s in her nightgown. I think maybe she was 19. Another is a headstone that is in the Ripleys believe it or not. I’m sure u guys don’t know about those books, they wouldn’t be where you live. Anyway this stone has a gigantic granite ball on top of it and the ball rotates. You can’t see it happening but someone finally figured out that it moves from the cold and the heat the expansion and contraction from the weather. What u guys are doing is very cool to watch. It’s interesting to see the shape some of the remains and the condition they are in. I thought that they would be laid out like the person who’s laid to rest. It’s also sad that they are in a condition that you can see in them. Thanks for doing what your doing!

Do you think that those underground places that contained the bones could possibly be charnel houses? They were used in the past, especially in small graveyards when space was in short supply, to store the bones from old graves that were dug up for new burials. A fascinating tour. Thanks guys.
Wow that was very interesting guys! I love the way you both appreciate the stonemason's work from the times gone by they seemed to put more care into the inscriptions and designs in those days. I do hope they get around to finish off the restoration in that graveyard. I think it's amazing finding the old remains RIP to them all and thank you so much! 💜💜
Is some of those Graves due to the fact that animals have got in there and Disturbed the gravesite? Or is it people going down there and disturbing them. I am very glad to see that that area is taking an interest in restoring those beautiful monuments. It's nice to see that people are taking Pride again in their ancestry. Thank you so much for sharing and enjoyed your video.
This is such a beautiful cemetery, I love all the writing and pictures on the headstones they are just so awesome. The crypt was kind of scary. Did they just bury the people in the crypt without a coffin, or does the coffin disintegrate? I enjoy your videos so much, thank you ❤
Maybe some of those extra skeletal remains belong in that big McCarty vault...there were so many names on it...but only one coffin...strange...neat old place...thanks again...
There is so much to take in on this video! Who was in the casket with the purple shroud? What are the names of the people whose bones are strewn about in the crypts? I didn't want the video to end! Lol! Very fine documentary. 👏👍

Beautiful church ( well, former church ) and graveyard. The monuments and mausoleums were fascinating! I am glad they are all being slowly 🐌 restored. Curious, the crypt that the side was open and we could see entire bodies; were they originally buried in a wooden box that has since decomposed or were the remains placed in the crypt alone? Sad that the cemetery doesn’t fix the area that’s open to keep animals out of it!

you guys have stumped me again with mystery bones. I'm not sure about that skull with the hole on top either, that's an odd place for a bullet wound. I'm usually pretty good about determining this sort of thing. death, heaven, hell, and judgement. the keys to heaven and hell held by the angel of death. the scales of judgement. that's my interpretation of that stone.
