Nice tripreport! I flew that route (NZ175 as well) in December 2018, but they used an 777-200ER for my flight! I enjoyed it, I really love Air New Zealand!
Btw being parked next to the South African Airways plane is on purpose, both airlines are Star Alliance members so it’s an easy transfer for passengers from NZ to SA.

Excellent trip report! Liked and subscribed. I'm not a fan of their business class seating configuration. The economy seats are nice though. You had 3 meals on a 7-hour flight :)
Crazy how as an American we think west aussie and kiwi land and super close... maybe like cali and the new england... but its more like honolulu and new england.
It's 7:20 from Auckland to Perth,i think it's a lot longer from Honolulu to New England buddy.

Not ba good trip report, Check-in at AKL wasn`t shown properly; too many views of the floor walking through the terminal and poor camera handling when accessing his seat. Must try harder. (PS Why does he put a D at the end of his captions ? Does he think someone else writes them ? )

Do you fly around just to do trip reports?
Depends where I go. Some places I go over and over I may just do it to report on a new airline but I genuinely like to travel places I've never been to experience it all. The trip report is an add-on and an interest that I partake in. :)

The business class is hideous
Nice video but you should respect people's privacy and not show them on RUclips without their explicit permission. I can see a day when videos like this will be banned completely by the airlines
Food looked like crap
Business class was like a sardine can when you did the walk thru

What is the point of these vids and the :D ? If it’s a huge smile it’s rather silly and immature on every single line and comment., that’s how I interpret them. This is not the only video I see these on of course…
