- Come along with me as I continue an annual Christmas tradition of adding to our yard decorations.
I've used a variety of plywood thicknesses, whatever I had on hand. But for the most part they are 3/8". The Acrylic paints can be found in any hobby section, however I prefer using 12 year old, dried out bottles that are the consistency of silly putty.
Also, satin polyurethane having been exposed to many seasons of freezing and summer temps takes on a glossy appearance...hmmm.

that projector idea is clutch. i'm headed to the hardware store for some plywood right now. this will actually be the first thing i've used my projector to do. cant imagine a more wholesome project :)

Christmas with the Peanuts gang, one of my favorites since many moons ago. Your characters look like the originals. Course you'll need to add Lucy, Pig-pen, Schroeder & his piano now that you've started, LOL.

Gentlemen, I think we were all deceived regarding Christmas. Mr Jayhawker I have been trying to reach you in the comments because you have a loud voice and many hear you. Please read Jeremiah 10 1-4 and ask if we are truly celebrating Jesus or if we have been tricked.
@@RadRob84 The questions is, what causes you to stumble, or what deceives you in particular into taking your attention off of God and onto something worthless. Jeremiah was referring to them making literal idols that they worshiped. I for one have never worshiped a tree or a decoration, but rather just the opposite. Seeing these things remind me personally all the more of the true meaning of Christmas (and that is also the whole message of the Charlie Brown movie). But having said that, I was raised in a home where there were decorations, but the holiday was focused rather on a celebration of the birth of Christ, not simply a secular version of the holiday. So your comment reminds me of Paul's teaching in Romans 14. What is a stumbling block for my brother, may not be for me. I can see a Christmas tree or a house decorated with lights and it can be a continual reminder of Christ and the true reason of the holiday leading up to the day of celebration. Others may see it and all they see is paganism. I suppose we all have to ask ourselves your question, are you celebrating Jesus, or aren't you? Perhaps I will try to put some more thoughts together for The Humble Mechanic this month and address this question more fluently. Thanks for you comment!
@@TheJayhawker Nimrod was born Dec 25. Old Nick is another name for satan. They have deceived the world into worshipping them instead of Jesus Christ. You are free to do as you wish and participate in pagan rituals. Do you also burn a yule log? Did you know why they put gifts under a tree? It's an offering to Nimrod who they believe came back as a tree. They burn the yule log as a sacrifice hoping he will return again. The worship the sun and chose the shortest day to celebrate the birth of the new sun... not the son. Not Jesus. May God give you ears to hear and eyes to see.

Looks really good. The addition of Sally was a great idea. After you make additional characters (or even now) you can create another animation video like you did with the guy & the old tractor(?) renovation.
As I have said before, you have such an array of talents! When I was a kid there was a craft lady in our town that had a Peanuts display very similar to yours. I’ll bet she made it just like you did with yours. Awesome! The ideas are running in my mind now! Thank you sir for sharing it!
