    You’re probably not going to believe this, but this design on nutcrackers (toy soldiers, snowmen, etc.) from COTTONWOOD is patented by my father. He’s still alive, and lives in Kansas, and has the poor man’s copyright sealed away. His business was called “Forgotten Cotton Creations” and operated in Ellis, Kansas from 1996 - 2003. I’m super glad to see his work is still inspiring over 20 years later.

    Terrific planning from the start. But as always it’s the finishing touches that makes something come to life. You have given them independent personalities. I just personally think some extra lighting would help show how beautiful they are. Maybe some solar tree highlights on the ground before their feet shining up on them

    Wow, Y'all did a phenomenal job! Not only creating awesome decorations but creating an environment for your son to learn and work with his mom and dad. That is lacked so much in America... Even in both parent homes. I enjoyed seeing that and the happiness on your son's face just as much as seeing the whole process. Congratulations to you 3. If I attempt making a nutcracker yours will be my reference. Thanks y'all.

    LOVED
    Your FAMILY TOGETHER DIY project! TY for sharing your family making Christmas memories, something your son will hopefully carry with him for generations to come!❤
    Let’s hope no looser steals the nutcrackers like the people that stole the huge skeletons that cost over 350.00 this past Halloween! The one woman in broad daylight “ shoving” the skeleton which was longer than her vehicle, into her suv and driving off?
    The owners of the skeleton lived in an upscale hoa neighborhood which was even more brazen of the thief!
    No Grinch stole Christmas here I 🙏 pray!!
    Terrific video! 🎉Cheers!!!!

    Every year, I always want to look like the most cheerful little real life nutcracker. I've loved the play all my life. And if I had a house, oh my god, I would make a set of these. They're amazing. It seems I'll have to admire houses from afar for now, but I've definitely added this to my list of future home DIYs.

    Love this! I’ve gotten a new nutcracker every year for years now .
    Always wanted life sz ones but unwilling to pay $400 each at Costco .
    One thing I’d have added - to the base of the “ feet” .. a 8-10” piece of that yard lumber off the legs attached to the base to be their boot foot . Give it a 3-d look

    • @theresamiller1446
      @theresamiller1446 2 года назад +6

      That was my thought too Melody. Theirs turned out very nice but I think the addition of the “boot” would be the icing on the cake.

    I am thrilled to run into this Video! Thank you so much. I have plans to make 2 in the future after I collect all my "supplies" . I 1st saw one of these in real life in my Credit Union & it took everything in my power not to run out of the bank with it!! I didn't even think to look at you tube for a video on the soldiers. Electronics were my hubbies thing not mine!!! Lol! At any rate these 2 you made turned out perfectly beautiful! When I read the ladies message about her Dad creating & patenting them, well ...that is pretty awesome too. I will be checking your supplies with my list & my instructions to see how I faired & if my supplies & measurements add up to yours! Lol! It took kevalmost a month to gigure out each supply & maesurement, lol! Curiosity here! Please who ever can, Thank this amazing Dad for me!! Also, one question, your body tube looked like it may have been a thick cardboard tube & not PVC. OR...did you wrap the PVC to give it the look of an empty Toilet Paper roll when painted? lololol! Again, thank you! I'm so happy to find this video! Have a covid free Hug fr. 🇨🇦 .
