Some jig saw blades are down cut, so just make sure which you have . The teeth point in the direction it cuts. And down cut blades can be a little tricky because they can try to climb up out of the cut if they get bound up.
We did that last year. Some friends lent us their expensive, white nativity set. We traced it to plywood, cut it out and primed and painted it white. We got a 200.00 plus set for the cost of a sheet plywood and paint…and we already had the paint. 😊
As great of an idea for the first one is, where I live, just one of those sheets of plywood run for $53, compared to the $13 price tag from 3 years ago.
When you make your tape loops for the silhouettes, place them vertically ∣∣ so the weight of the object does not cause them to pull away from the surfaces. Things will attach better and stick longer!
Can I just ask why were already on Christmas when Halloween and Thanksgiving haven’t been here yet. Thank you. We’re just rushing thru. Regardless, I really did love these ideas.
This would be perfect for a low powered laser engraver/cutter- would save so much time and get absolute perfect precision. I realize that sort of precision isn't needed for something like this but you could paint it up so that when folks are up close during daylight they could appreciate the quality of the design and you could also produce good enough quality that you could sell these things for a fair bit. (Not referring to the Christmas Tree at the end- a laser cutter wouldn't help with that) You shouldn't disable dislikes. People need an extension just to see them in the first place. I'd have liked the vid if they were enabled and I'd have subbed- I don't support any channel that doesn't allow dislikes or censors comments.
Great examples of “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” To my eye this stuff is very hokey. But many others obviously think it’s artful. Vive la différence!
How interesting that the holiday representing and celebrating Jesus our Creator is so absent from what is supposedly celebrating Him. Upside down star is probably just an accident too.
I used a staple gun to attach Christmas lights and the staples cut through the cords. Needless to say they shorted out as soon as I plugged them in. Is there a particular type of staple gun for this process?
You can use a Milwaukee stapler made for stapling wire, but probably wouldn’t want to spend that much,so the first reply seems like the best advice.Good luck,Merry Christmas.
Am I the one a little concerned that people might misinterpret the upside-down pentagram as something a little less than holy at the 6:00 mark? 😅 I'm sure the Satanists would approve, and anyone else not in the know would appreciate it for what she intended, a stunning little shooting star.
A little tip here (FREE of charge, you’re welcome 😉): When you are CUTTING OUT a shape or to size, or CUTTING some other Crafts or DIY project, or EVEN when you’re just CUTTING your meat on your plate…. PLEASE ….. Remember to ACTUALLY CUT (!!!) using your knife…!! Remember to make those forward and backward motions - while you’re applying a light pressure on the item you are cutting…. Slow and steady…until the knife is completely through whatever you wanted it to go through…. BUT PLEASEEEE!!! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT’S HOLY!!!! Do NOT (!!!) ‘PUSH(!!) your knife overly firm in/on (?!) the item that’s supposed to be cut. And then DO NOT DRAG INSTEAD OF CUT (!!), while you keep pressing the item so hard it almost goes 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 the table and instead of actually cutting: move/press the knife half forward, half sideways in an attempt to tear (!!!???!!) ((We ALL know those kind of people!!!)) The item is torn into pieces….. Just by pulling and dragging it over your work space // dinner plate.. Finally: To make your workspace and the way you work CONSIDERABLY SAFER : You MUST be certain that the knife you are using to cut (or heaven forbit: drag, which in this scenario is even MORE dangerous when not doing it right) That THAT KNIFE IS as sharp-as-a-knife-can-possibly-be!!! Regardless if you are working on a project or eating dinner: REMEMBER: The most dangerous knife, is a dull knife!! You should SHARPEN you kitchen knives at least once per week on a wet stone of good quality, doing that according to the standard of ‘how knives can be sharpen the best way’. And if you want to take it really serious: use one of those ‘grinding rods’ after EVERY use of your knives!! Just a quick schwish, schwashhh….and done (You can also change the moment of using the rod to AFTER using you knife, as long as you clean it of first!!!!) This will remove those little miniscule rough edges, not having to do a full on ‘sharpen sessie’… Just keep your knives in good shape, to profit the most AND the longest of your knives. (And give yourself a well deserved treat: buy some REALLY GREAT QUALITY KNIVES FOR BOTH YOUR TOOLBOX (BLADE COVERED OF COURSE! Both for your safety as well as to protect your knives) AS IN THE KITCHEN!! Be aware: for a really GOOD knive, you should expect prices starting at a few hundred euro’s/dollars!!!!)
On the first one lots of wood wasted. She made two so why not cut sides in one clean cut making one tree and then join the two cut sides to form the second tree?
Unbelievable. A million views about a plywood Christmas tree. You people can't keep your yards raked let alone cutting out plywood. setting it all up and getting it lit up. Now figure out how to store that contraption and be prepared to replace the pieces that get warped during a year in storage. Me? I'll just go buy a Christmas tree, set it up, then take a nap. All in about 4 hours. lol
You seriously need to spend more time to look at what you built instead of cutting off after 1 second. Because of that i do not watch your vids. Too agravating
YOU GO GIRL . . . . AWESOME! Thank you!
These ideas are all really beautiful. I loved them all. The silhouettes were adorable.😊💕
I will say it again that silhouette he put in the window is amazing
Thank you so much
when did you say it the first time
I agree!
The silhouette was my favorite. It looked professional.
My dad did that for us when we were little, ty for reminding me of a beautiful memory-RIP dad
I meant just the tree part
Everything looks amazing.
Fantastic ideas👍🏻🎄love all of them👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great job.
You can get jigsaw blades that cut on upstroke down stroke scroll ect
Wow, this brings back memories of how my parents did all of this same stuff back in the 1960's.
Some jig saw blades are down cut, so just make sure which you have . The teeth point in the direction it cuts. And down cut blades can be a little tricky because they can try to climb up out of the cut if they get bound up.
You only ever use down cut jig saw blades by choice. For a special purpose and then you put it back in the drawer for the next special purpose.
I think somebody should use the same process that was used for the Christmas tree to make a nativity silhouette.
We did that last year. Some friends lent us their expensive, white nativity set. We traced it to plywood, cut it out and primed and painted it white. We got a 200.00 plus set for the cost of a sheet plywood and paint…and we already had the paint. 😊
Very creative! Thank you for your ideas and tutorial!
Wow, that is such a good idea.
Love your tree and star shapes!! Very creative and artistic
I like the first womans projector idea too! smart!
This is Absolutely Amazing. I love it. Thanks for sharing
The window silhouette looks really good. Might have to give it a try.
Wonderful! Lots of ideas!
You’ve got fantastic skills.
Thanks for taking the time to create this video.
As great of an idea for the first one is, where I live, just one of those sheets of plywood run for $53, compared to the $13 price tag from 3 years ago.
Ply wood is definitely expensive...
Christmas tree look beautiful! Which blade do you use to cut the plywood ?
Great idea!
Those are really cute! Good job!❤❤❤
Thanks!
Such lovely ideas..❤🌲..too bad in today's world of thefts and wanton destruction they are unlikely to last a day.
Beautiful tips
#1 was the best. #2 was second best. ❤
What an awesome idea and a great job!
Great ideas, thanks.
Brilliant ideas
Brilliant!!!!!❤
Overhead projectors in the school back in the 80’s- same concept 40 years old
When you make your tape loops for the silhouettes, place them vertically ∣∣ so the weight of the object does not cause them to pull away from the surfaces. Things will attach better and stick longer!
there are jigsaw blades that cut down and those that cut on the up stroke up made for those times the GOOD edge will NOT be ruined ..
Very cool!
Amazing just so cool!
Adorable.
Amazing 🤩 ❤❤
i love this!!
Can I just ask why were already on Christmas when Halloween and Thanksgiving haven’t been here yet. Thank you. We’re just rushing thru. Regardless, I really did love these ideas.
Just to give you ideas before the holidays arrive. Never too early to be thinking about Christmas.
@@GoodlyEarth lol! Well I guess you can take the ideas and make them into Halloween or Thanksgiving silhouettes.
Because if you make things for Christmas, you need time to do it🙄😏
@@Femalefirefighter1 Thank you for your service!
@@cathylavorante6871 You're very welcome 😊
Really nice work.. Where did you find the pictures/inspiration to draw the silhouette?
Just google them or make your own. Christmas Colouring books from the dollar tree work great too. :)
Great idea...I guess my brain shut down on me and I didn't at all think! Haha

Great a bunch of Pentagrams hanging all over your yard for Christmas
ALL GREAT IDEAS, THANKS FOR SHARING!

You need to use an Arrow T-75 crown stapler to staple the wires down with. This is the stapler that Telephone and CATV cables are attached with.
You can use a Milwaukee stapler made for stapling wire, but probably wouldn’t want to spend that much,so the first reply seems like the best advice.Good luck,Merry Christmas.
These are really neat ideas. Thanks for sharing.
You can get up stroke or down stroke jig saw blades just look at the teeth . If they point down they cut down if they are up they cut on the upstroke
Very creative Christmas ideas!
Is this foam thick enough to use a hot knife?
Thank All ….. Love Them ….. Will Do it .
Those trees are gorgeous.
Bob Ross foamboard dude, you made me fall asleep during your part! Happy, happy trees.
Back in the day we’d use a slide projector
Did mine last year
I wish they would just sell these in the stores at Christmas time premade 😂 😊
NEW??? we have been doing these types of things since the 1970's
What kind of jigsaw did the last use in the first section of this video?
For the first project, the trees, both her jigsaw and drill are Craftsman.
Use a better jig saw blade for a better cut.
Pretty

I would have loved to see the shooting star from the road to get a better idea of how it looked. Nice idea, though.
Wow... your "star" mimics the transit of Venus... Coincidence?
I found that the boards curved inwards when I paint them . How do you keep them so flat?
If you paint both sides and the edges it will seal the wood and then it won't curl and will last for years.
Drill from both sides to avoid breakout.
You can buy down cut jigsaw blades

H-Halloween tho.... we Halloween people never say happy Valentine's day before Christmas has even happened...
On the first one lots of wood wasted. She made two so why not cut sides in one clean cut making one tree and then join the two cut sides to form the second tree?
Śliczne
a star or a Pentogram?? I WAS A LITTLE BIT WORRIED THERE FOR A MINUTE.. lol
If you didn't feel that the word genius was over used before......you should now.
Pretty sure it was heavy could have used foam boards
I don't know about Everyone! You think? Na we ain't wasting money on Christmas Decorations are we ?
This whole video feels so very american, making decorations for others to see.
All the ideas on this site are beautiful but way too labor intensive for me.
That is a mockery of craftsmanship..a trick used by j.r. Tolkien.
What I want to know is who really has time to do all this?
but wait! You forgot the pallet Christmas tree! why spend money on plywood when you can get free pallets behind the store!!!! go go go !!!!
The last two weren't that great.
"New"? Not hardly! Clicks should only be counted if the video is watched in entire! Get rid of the hacks!

Too bad Charlie Brown didn’t know any of this…
Can't afford plywood
Get free pallet wood glue together then cut out the pattern
Click bait titles are beyond annoying now. Just put in the title what your video is about.
Not really a cheap idea if you have to go out and buy a jigsaw and drill and all the other stuff. 😂
Would be cheaper just to buy a tree
Upside down pentagram?? Hmmmm
Very sus
great for Motley Crue fans! 😇
I'm NOT copying so best change your DRAMATIC headline....
How is everyone copying it in the future when you've posted it only 3 hours ago?
Time travel
Cheaper to buy a fake tree Boxing Day. Chicks.
Thumbs down!!! An upsidedown star is bad mojo...unless you worship the devil
Ingenious not genius
There are so many cheap women on RUclips making the most dog crap arts and crafts junk especially during Christmas time lol.
"everyone"...really?!
GENIUS ?? That's basic craft work lmfao
You seriously need to spend more time to look at what you built instead of cutting off after 1 second. Because of that i do not watch your vids. Too agravating
Not everyone
Tree's being murdered to make fake ones! Priceless dystopia!!
Spend your time on something else man,…
So wasting loads of wood is now a xmas trend 🙄
Merry Christmas... GRINCH!
