1:29 The way that he precisely moves around so naturally in zero gravity is fascinating to me. The adaptability of the human brain is amazing.
to be fair you'll probably get used to it pretty quickly
seems pretty intuitive, im guessing after 5mins in zero g u can figure it out
daga kotowaru
Yeah after smacking into things, you’d get used to it quick
It's basically the same thing when you go diving. The buoyancy provided by the water counteracts gravity and you are effectively weightless. That's why astronauts train in water tanks. You can move in three dimensions just as Chris does here, though more slowly as water produces much more drag than air.
something about Chris in his space jammies just makes me extremely happy
Reminds me that astronauts do normal person things up there like chilling in their PJs or sleeping

Hahaha 😂
I have a question. Whenever I jump from a diving board, I get a drop in my stomach. Scientists say it's because of weightlessness, which I get when I'm in freefall. But here do astronauts also have that drop in their stomach? Or do they get used to it?
Edit: Could you please stop replying, this comment is three months ago
@@vedantsridhar8378
They dont?? I guess..??
Because they dont have gravity in space.??
@@HI-xr9ze The equivalence principle which Einstein used for general relativity states that you cannot differentiate between an object in freefall and an object being weightless in space. When you fall, you are weightless because the ground doesn't push up against your body. So being weightless feels exactly like being in freefall or on a bungee ride. But astronauts don't seem to feel that drop, maybe they just get used to it.
My school used to fucking love this guy so much, they showed him in presentations. He is still loved today
I love this connection they make to everyday things we do on earth. Glad people of all generations get to witness this

Who else really wants to experience no gravity cause it looks really fun
It actually has pretty serious effects. You get used to not using many muscles and need tons of physical therapy after coming back to earth to gain back functionality to those muscles and there is also a photo of an astronaut that's being carried away from the landing zone of a spaceship because he can't walk(both bc of muscle atrophy induced by lack of gravity and disorientation induced by the landing) and it's actually a pretty scary scene. Other that that, it's cool as hell
The astronauts on the ISS experience 90 percent of the gravity we do, Earth is just curving away from them as fast they’re falling so they’re suspended in orbit. They’re experiencing “zero G,” not “no gravity.” And no the G in “zero G” does not stand for gravity.
I'm in
But you've got to be in a very scary rocket ship launch off first
sean jung nope. U don’t. There are 0 gravity things we can experience without having to crap our pants trying to get far enough from the earth’s atmosphere.

I cant imagine how heavy everything must feel when he comes back to earth
You get used in a couple of hours, lack of coordination and balance is a bigger issue when they get back. Also, things still have mass, so even if they don't fall, you still feel the difference between a heavy object and a lighter one, or better said, you feel the difference between an object with a bigger mass and one with a smaller mass.

He's already back, also when astronauts come back from space they feel extremely sick and need to undergo physical therapy similar to someone who has been in a coma. They exercise to lessen the effect of gravity when they come back, however they still require extreme physical therapy.
Can anybody that thinks this is fake explain why..
They only claim it's fake cause they don't trust their own government and because of that they also don't trust any form of science or because space-travel or space in general goes against their religious believes.

I can't decide whether this would feel amazing or terrifying
Would be so cool to be weightless in space
Amazing AND terrifying.
Let me tell you what it feels like, it feels like you’re constantly falling. You’d get used to it after a few days, though.
@@snipsnap9995 Well I’m not an expert but you’re kind of in 0G during free fall. There’s some math behind it. But anyway that acceleration down at the same rate of gravitational acceleration cancels out, and you can’t tell up or down based on feeling alone. The only way to tell down is because your eyes can see that you’re heading in that direction.
It would be amazing but his bedroom looks terrifying to me
It's still crazy to me what would zero gravity feels like, I can't even imagine and I want to be there so hard
@Michael Paterson exactly! Minus all the air resistance of course
It's like being underwater
@Michael Paterson It doesn't feel like that. There are some flights where you can experience this stuff for some seconds up to some minutes and it does not feel like falling. Otherwise, I would feel extremely uncomfortable in this situation, because the feeling of falling is something I really hate. Low gravity feels pretty good tho. A little bit like you are floating in water but also so much different from the feeling you have in water. Very hard to explain.
I know right
I dont want to be there, astronaut is like the hardest job there is and i am as dumb as they come. Plus i am scared of space and space sharks

When you return to earth, Imagine how heavy you would feel.
Usually astronauts cannot stand properly when they come back to earth due to gravity and pressure I believe, their bodies have to get used to it
@@hyrise76 yes it will take a while to get used to earth gravity
Gravity is a very strong force, and when you enter the Earth’s atmosphere, everything becomes very heavy. Your arms, your head, and other parts of your body become very heavy. It does take a little while to get used to gravity again. I’m not an astronaut, but I read about this
