That old man who won't unfasten his seatbelt (probably due to age and/or health condition), that man gets me. Man's seen it all, life after WW2, first spaceflight, people being able to call each other, to the modern age where everybody has a computer in their pockets. And now he casually went to space himself, in a rocket.

What I find profound is how most people don’t value what we have on this earth but put them up there, give your average human this experience, and once they touch back down it’ll bring them to tears, we really are so clueless about our existence it makes every issue on our planet seem futile, truly a beautiful experience, space travel is the answer to world peace in my opinion

Here's why: If you go to the frame at 9:46 exactly, that is taken at 200,000 feet ok, we can "see the curvature" now, keep that frame in mind, could even screenshot.
Now go to the exact frame at 11:34. This is taken at roughly 500 feet as per what the guy literally said it was. Notice, the same curvature at 200,000 feet in height, and 500 feet in height. This is due to the fish eye lens.
On your screenshots, draw a line from one end of the horizon to the other, you will see the clear bulge, on both..

I can teach you how it all works still pretty amazing and they are very lucky to experience something they know so little about and I would probably never do it even tho I know so much more than they know about it .. makes you realize your knowledge don't make you special in all situations 😂

But tourists momentarily touching the bare minimum Karman line & calling themselves astronauts is a bit of an eye roll, as if they're somehow on the same level of real astronauts that reach orbital velocity, work on the ISS, do moon missions, etc. This is what people mean when they say touching the Karman line is technically space perhaps... but not really because it's kind of a broad & overinflated statement to make.

@sailorman8668 You will only see the spherical shape of the Earth if you go around it... There's no other way you will be able to see it from such a close distance to Earth. We will always see a ball as a circle from a close point of view and will always be, due to the vast size of the Earth you will always and always have to go around the Earth to actually know the spherical shape of it. Only astronauts from the ISS will know (I don't know if there have been any space missions that got around the Earth and it will be pointless in the first place). So, where's your point?

71% water but in every video its just land. How is the earth not moving if your watching from a distance. Make it make sense. Also hold a soccer ball close to your eye sight you can see curvature. Hold a plate in the same spot you see this. Lastly, how can water stay on a ball, pour the water on the soccer ball it rolls off pour it on the plate and it will hold.

    • @sebastiannolte1201
      @sebastiannolte1201 3 месяца назад +4

"71% water but in every video its just land. "
And why are you so sure that you should see it in this video? You have to do the following things and wonder if you really have done it:
      - Looking up how high he was (107 km)
      - Calculate how far the view distance is from that altitude, there are online calculators (it is about 1200 km)
      - looking up where the launch (Corn Ranch near van Horn, Texas)
      - draw a circle with 1200 km radius around Corn Ranch and see how much water is there. You will see that it is not much, just far in the distance, and only when you look in a certain direction to south east or south west
You guys never do any calculations, it is all gut feeling. You never even try do actually debunk the globe, by doing simulations and calculations. It would be so easy. The flat earth cult is there now for nearly 10 years, and they still don't provide a map. The most basic thing.
"How is the earth not moving if your watching from a distance. "
They launch from surface so they move together with earth's surface. Why should the earth rotate underneath them? Does the earth rotate under you when you jump? Under a hovering helicopter? No. Does a train or airplane move under/around you when you jump inside of it? No. And the simple reason for all that is Newton's first law of motion (everything keeps its state of motion unless it is affected by a force), known for 300 years. You experience it all the time in your every day life, engineers use it all the time, our entire technical progress is based on Newton's mechanics. Of course you can just claim that they are wrong...
" Also hold a soccer ball close to your eye sight you can see curvature. "
How close should that be? If earth has a diameter of 127 cm then they here in the video were only 1 cm away from the surface. Again, why don't you just actually simulate it, so program it in a 3D program a sphere with 12742 km and then look how the view is from certain distances? You don't even have to do it for yourself, others have done it, google for "Walter Bislins curvature app".
"Lastly, how can water stay on a ball, pour the water on the soccer ball it rolls off"
Really, it will entirely roll of, so that the ball is 100% dry? No, probably it will stay wet because water sticks to the surface. In that case because of adhesion, so a force. And on earth the reason is gravity, And why even should it fall down, into what direction, and why? So while in the ball situation you have adhesion, that keeps the water onto the ball, but gravity, that pulls it away from the ball; you have only gravity that keeps the water on earth but nothing that pulls it away.
So you think we cannot find out the actual distance between two cities? The map is the simple key. Why do people don't get that? Instead they are so obsesses with the curvature.

Zero G planes and Go pro fish eye lenses? Hahah great neat tricks, but pretty obvious nowadays! NASA is dead and don't worry, the multi generational, criminal cabal, masquerading as governments and nations, on behalf of their owners and overlords, the legalised loan sharks, snake oil peddlers & merchants of death are BUSTED and their house of cards is collapsing by the day! In fact I recently witnessed a 9yr old kid say "Gravity is FAKE" to their friends, with such enthusiasm it gave me genuine hope for this world!

and that dream will soon become reality for all of us. rocket launches are getting exponentially cheaper. once there is a fully reusable rocket and possibly a cheaper fuel source or fuel that has higher energy density (=less fuel needed by weight -> less energy needed due to lighter weight). im guessing a space flight will be as cheap as 10K within 30 years.

I saw nothing different from the footage what you would see from a high altitude inert gas balloon. Not to mention the curvature of the earth is not consistent and it increases or decreases 9:52 depending on the camera angle. That is a direst result from the conical curved shape of the vessels glass shield.
