    It's good to see someone remembering to do maintenance. It seems that most RUclips boaters like to show themselves doing repair but forget that if you keep up with maintainance there are far fewer repairs to do!

    I appreciate a realistic view of what life in a boat is like. For those who are thinking they may be interested in boat life, it is valuable to see what that life entails.

    Boat maintenance is boat life ..
    That's the reality of it ..
    How ya get your provisions aboard ..where n why you anchor at certain places due to weather n tides n traffic ..
    That's all part of the lifestyle that allows you to wake up to the most perfect sunrises n quietly watch the world and contemplate your future ..
    Your doing good videos 👍

    Hi my friend! Nice to see you back ;) You need a special antifouling for Pvc dinghy especially if you take your dinghy in the water all the time, otherwise I recommend you to pull it up of the water side by side of your boat during the night with spinnaker halyard.

      @@OffgridOceanLife you need to find out the material who is made your dinghy and get this it depends on that if neoprene or pvc, your is probably neoprene and made a good preparation of the bottom before apply

    I’m a native Texan living close to Fort Worth and I’m 56 yrs old and long dreamt of taking to the water. Stumbled on your channel, subscribed and binged every episode so far. Two weeks ago I put a contract down on an Endeavor 32 in Annapolis that’s been on the hard for over a year. Next weekend flying up to Baltimore and renting a car to go see her in person and be there for the out of water part of survey. If all goes as planned will splash in late March and finish the survey with a sea trial then set sail. Hope to run into you out there. I love all your content so far. Wish I’d taken the time to do this much earlier in life.

    I like the boat maintenance videos. I'm interested in boating, but also boats and how to maintain them. I especially liked your water collection system and seeing how you attach the solar panels.
    Question: When you use your grill, do you attach a small propane canister, or is there a line to a bigger propane tank?

    • @OffgridOceanLife
      @OffgridOceanLife  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks man. I feel like most people just like watching the paradise part, my views have seemed to drop since I started posting the maintenance haha. I started using the small propane canisters but found it was easier and cheaper to just use a 20lb tank with a hose

    On/off is good for rust removal. Other than that your content is relatable and seeing the struggle or you showing the struggle is something people want to see. We realize it’s not all pretty and are curious as to how this lifestyle really is… show all the real life struggles and embrace it! It’s all part of the great offgrid adventure. I’m Offgrid but on land, soon to be water so keep showing it all you’re doing great so far!

    I think with a boat, it's always something, so you'll always have something for content.
    . When you got back in the dinghy, to leave shore, i got that "dude where's my car? " feeling. Where'd i park the house again?
    Keep it up man. Good job.
