Great videos!! Hope to see more soon!!
Thanks, yea I’ll be back at them here soon, had to take a little break to make some money
Fellow Ohioan with the same dream here. Hoping to spend a few seasons learning the ropes on Erie while saving money and then I’ll make my way south. Definitely inspiring to see your vulnerability while learning as you go. Really excited to see where you go. Keep it up man
Awesome comment man thanks, I almost bought my boat in lake eerie and went through the locks to the ocean but saw a lot more boats for sale here in Fl without the trouble of the locks
@@OffgridOceanLife Yessir. Those are definitely a concern of mine as well. We’ll see how things shake out. Merry Christmas!
@@clayton584 yup u to, lemme know when you make it outta there
We're from Cincinnati. 👋. Bought a Lancer 40' in January 2022. Being doing a major refit in Placida FL. We hope to splash in a few weeks
@@jessicah5406 nice I’ll be going back to the keys then Bahamas after hurricane season
I just watched a bunch of your videos. *Maintenance videos, simple fixes, will really help your channel grow! Not necessarily how to’s just maintenance (daily boat life). Nice job on those blocks you should’ve shot video of all that, adds content. Also, how are you navigating, chart plotter? A lady in a bikini for a day sail will really boost your views! Start posting 1 a week, take your camera everywhere, are you still living on the boat? Remember, you are the channel. Good luck!
Love the comment, I appreciate it. I thought that myself but I noticed my maintenance videos don’t get quite as many views. I stopped to get a job but still living on the boat and will start the videos again soon, and Jst so happens I met a lady that looks good in a bikini ;) haha but yea I use garmin chart plotter and avionics
@@OffgridOceanLife You have to keep posting content for the RUclips algorithm to work for you.
Yea it takes more time then you’d think to make a video though and ran outta money :/ I’ll be back on it soon though
It’s been some months. When are you coming out with another video man? Looking forward to seeing it. Hope all is well.
Yeaa my bad I’ve had a lot going on,I really do need to get back at it though, thanks man
Louisville Kentucky here good luck out there the ocean can be unforgivable. Just wondering what a boat like yours would cost.
Yeaa I’ve learned that real quick lol, still alive :) I bought my boat for 25k at the top of the market, u could get something similar for 15k now though
Think I'm crazy or not...But it definitely works!!! Chicken Livers...cut um up, but leave them bloody!!! You'll be catching so many your freezer gonna be packed!!! LOL.
Haha nice I might have to try it
Don't varnish your teak. you will have to sand it down and redo it every year and that's a pain. Just sand it down and oil it. Repeat oiling and just wipe it on once a month
Thanks for the comment, I’ve been into woodworking my whole life, u don’t have to sand it all the way down each year as long as u don’t let it start peeling, you Jst scuff it and add another coat or 2 each year. I just like the looks of varnish a lot better and the extra hard layer of protection doesn’t hurt either
Awesome video! Keep on pumping out videos👍🤙🤙
Thanks man, lost my phone that had 2 episodes in it and workin for a few weeks but I’ll be back on it hard
Looks so awesome!!
Thanks :)

@@OffgridOceanLifeChecking in man. What's up with ya? You doin alright?
@@travistucker7317 ehh man I saved up another 8 grand and was ready to start sailing again and dove on my boat and noticed the skeg broke where the rudder attaches to it, about a 6 grand haul and and fix. But I’m Jst gonna try to do a temporary fix and do it underwater and get back to the life, not the smartest thing I’ve ever done
@@OffgridOceanLife man life never stops does it? You staying back on land for now? Glad to hear you're doing good otherwise. You'll get it going before long
@@travistucker7317 Naa still living on the boat at a real calm anchorage in Tampa bay, met a lot of cool people here though.
