Steve, you have have spoken to so many people, because you're such a lovely guy. I've spoken [online and in passing] to you before when I was "temporarily" homeless and I had just found shelter [which was through a charity]. You were so supportive in your reply to me and genuinely glad that I had found a roof over my head and I'll never forget that. I usually don't speak about things as personal as this, but my life had been pretty good until there was a sudden and unexpected series of deaths in my family which pretty much took everyone away. Firstly, I want you to know that I have progressed from where I was and have just moved into an apartment where I'm truly happy, but I relate to your sadness and want you to remember that grief is a long process. Please never forget that there are so many people who admire you for just being you. I think I may have once said in a comment to you "there is no statute of limitations on grief" and it's true. Please never stop posting your amazing videos, but never feel stressed to do it. You're so good at what you do and as you hopefully already know, there are a huge number of people out here who love watching you, but hey only when you're able and it feels right. Big love from a UK fan, who has been to Canada... A lot :D
As an advocate for homeless folk for over 20 years I'd like to point out that most of the people I've met on the streets have experienced life altering tragedies- often a series of them. If judgemental people only knew what these folks have been through and how brave they are still putting one foot in front of the other I certainly hope their dormant empathy would finally emerge. Bless you Jeff. May life continue to get better for you. And of course bless you Steve. You are indeed such a good person and I love your funny ways.
I’m just a dairy farmer worker in WNY here but I hope you’re managing yourself alright, Steve. I find myself stuck in my head, a LOT, and I hope you keep on keeping on with doing the things you do. Your videos help inspire me to never give up.
I can't even explain what it is about watching Steve eat and sleep in various locations but it's truly so wholesome and always brings me out of the endless feeling of hopelessness the world seems to push all the time. Thank you Steve.
I think the thing that I love most about your videos is that it encourages people to get outside and do something. A lot of people including myself sometimes get stuck in our phones, busy with other things, or telling ourselves a million reasons why we can’t do things. Your videos show that there’s no excuses.. rain.. shine.. not a lot of gear.. you can do it 😊
Nothing brings joy like watching Steve on another “Stealther “ . I , along with so many others, was so saddened to hear of Your Beautiful Wife’s sudden passing , and then your mother and Crazy Neighbor. You are keeping their memory alive and making them proud, brother. I am so sorry that happened to you and your family. Hang in there buddy , we are all rooting for you and here for ya ✊❤️

There's a certain joy inducing vibe that Steve gives off. You can tell he is a genuine kind person who's doing this camping thing for the love of it after all Steve is the proprietor of the stealth! Having lived in the Olympic wilderness for four years with a three legged dog and a Lincoln town car that we treated like a SUV made me thankful for anyone willing to share the path they had taken from being homeless to home. Steve, you’ve encouraged this 19 year old to do what he’s always wanted to try out for fun since first watching Mav (started watching you a bit after). There’s nothing like sitting down while eating/trying to chill out and watching some Camping with Steve. Truly, thank you for all of the entertainment etcetera. Hope all is well, we’re always supporting you and anxiously waiting for your next video! Funny story I remembered as you mentioned people doing donuts in the dirt not caring about you haha. Me and a buddy as 13 year olds wayy back tarp camped mid winter (kind of dumb, I know haha). We were actually fine with our set up/cots etcetera but some jeeps came in to the field where we were to have some fun.. about 10-15 mins later after they left etcetera, a cop showed up haha. It scared me in a way, because my friend had ran home to grab some stuff, but the cop ended up being super cool/understanding haha.. good times.

I am interested in your life. I think that I will be living like this after my mother dies. We live together. I have disabilities and can't find a job that I can handle. In the future, I will be collecting a monthly disability payment close to $800 USD a month as an independent. It will not be enough to rent an apartment, buy groceries, and the other things that I might need. It looks like the options are either van camping or by foot living. I can see the pros and cons of both. It might be nice to have the metal walls as protection but it comes with the extra cost of vehicle maintenance and the $800 might not cut it. There are so many things to take into consideration. There are different levels of disability. The higher functioning group says that they avoid the permanent physical shelters set up by churches and such. They complain of theft, drugs, violence, and body lice there but alone as an individual camper sounds lonely and so isolated from the world.

As a truck driver I appreciate the location. I’ve thought many times weigh stations would be a perfect stealth spot. Cheers Steve!
Steve won me when I found “Stealth roundabout camping” 😂🤣 And I always think about camping on top of the pylons under bridges. Difficult, but cool!
I think of weigh stations as a place to stay far far far away from

I find myself stuck in my head, a LOT, and I hope you keep on keeping on with doing the things you do. Your videos help inspire me to never give up.
I can't even explain what it is about watching Steve eat and sleep in various locations but it's truly so wholesome and always brings me out of the endless feeling of hopelessness the world seems to push all the time. Thank you Steve.
U must b a OTR trk driver also
It's like asmr. His videos helps relax and ease stress.
This is honestly the best part of my Thursdays! Thank you so much Steve.

Good to see you back at it Steve. I can’t imagine the struggle. Tony
Always Be Camping :) Thanks. One day at a time.
Hope you’re doing well Steve, please keep the stealth camps coming we all love em!!! You’re one of my favourite channels !
Gods I love the sound of rain or snow on canvas. Best days of my life were spent under an old Icelandic tent with rain pelting down reading a book and sipping on a flask of hot fruit tea.
To lift people’s spirits when you’re down is a true gift from the heavens. Thanks for sharing that gift with the YT world Mr Wallis.
Thanks for taking us along with you on your trips. You may not realize it but for most of us you are literally doing what we all wish we would or could do. Thanks Steve!
Just wanted to give a quick comment and let you know how much your channel means to me. Just an average joe guy that craves content that isn't so damn negative. Which unfortunately seems to be all I see these days, no matter whether I'm looking or not. I hope you know that you're one of the less than 1% of people on this earth that is loved by so many people that have never met you. And that's solely because you are simply and beautifully...you. thanks for all your content Steve. Cheers brother
A great Thursday gift for us all! Hope you’re well Steve ❤
Thursdays are for Steve Wallis and a bit of Jim Baird on the side !!! Yeah !!!!
Nothing like a Camping With Steve video to turn a rough day into bearable one. Love you man.
I hope you’re having better days.
Steve, it’s crazy watching you go from a humble amount of subs to your million now. Well deserved man!
He for sure deserves it. Easily the best camping channel.
The drone footage is always so awesome!! Besides all the stealthing, you always do an incredible job with the filming side of things!!💙 📷
Thanks so much!!
@@campingwithsteve yes loved the drone shots. Does that make you more likely to be visible ? Drones can be noisy? Stay safe! Ps the broccoli stem tastes great if you peel it and cut into sticks before cooking. Try it! It is like a totally new vegetable.

Hey Steve, sorry for your loss, there is no words I can say to make you feel better, feel hugged and never give up!
I must have watched at least 40 of your videos in the last week (I'm new to your channel), I keep coming back here which is rare in my case since I have ADHD but you got such a calm, relaxing and positive way of handling things! Thank you for being you Steve, I will share the occasional step 2 with you in front of my screen! Wish you all the best!

Steve - just wanted to say thank you for all you've done. I have been having a rough time lately. My wife is in the hospital and quite sick. I've been watching a lot of your videos, including past videos. It helps calm me down and reduces my anxiety. I look forward to seeing your videos every week. Best wishes to you!

Yes... A black umbrella is super versatile, and easy to procure (A core part of my military/hunting kit since 1982?). You can stake it with guy lines, cut poles to suspend it, hang in a tree Steve style, or just hunker down under it. Use your imagination (Like Steve).
Hope you are healing Steve glad you kept joy in your hart through everything.
couldnt agree more, When I think about the content, I thinkn why in the world am I watching this, When i explain it, it sounds so boring but for some reason Steve bring some kind of allure that just makes me want to watch it.
good on him
Loving the use of the drone in this video! Really helps to show off the spot and just how close you are to all the action. Hope you've been staying well Steve, we're all rooting for you.
You'd think the drone would give him away.
Apparently the people running the scale don't look up,
@@kevhead1525 he's probably using a Mavic Mini or some equivalent. They're super tiny and don't have lights. Very easy to miss if you're not looking for them.
@@InVerum mavic mini indeed! My friend that dropped me off surprised me running the drone and I couldn’t hear or see it.
@@campingwithsteve - Thanks for the explanation of where the footage came from. Great shots that really added to you video. Take your friend along in the future! Or, if you get a drone, land it a mile away from your stealth hiding spot! Otherwise, good doers will hunt you down as many cringe every time they see a drone and think it is part of an illegal spy ring. lol
As someone who lives in that area, the homeless population is so visible and large, that you could feasibly camp anywhere without making a fuss. Pretty cool to see my town in one of your vids 👍
Great to see you back at it Steve; but you don’t have to push yourself to get “caught up” on filming. Sometimes we just need time, and we think we’re doing great but then it blows back up on us. Take the time time you need, when you need it, we’re not going anywhere! 💕
My life is really really stressful right now (which is completely relative to everyone else's situation) but when I see a new Camping with Steve video, I'm 100% ready to not give a shit about my problems. Thank you Steve!
I feel you man lost my job because of some bs and my finances is so fragile I can't afford to be off work and I'm still waiting on calls back. But this is nice
It scared me in a way, because my friend had ran home to grab some stuff, but the cop ended up being super cool/understanding haha.. good times.
Steve your videos make the crappiest days more bearable. We appreciate you! Stay safe!
I can never tell the real “oh crap we’re gunna get caught” moments from “I’m just paranoid” I love the suspense either way. Keep up the great work Steve, you’re the best!

I don't expect weekly videos, but I am really happy when they occur. Thanks for another moment of zen.
Love seeing you do one of your classic stealth camps, Steve. Can’t imagine how unbelievably hard the last few months have been for you, but as always, everyone is with you in spirit and we love watching you do what you love.

At 20:00 mark while Steve is talking about staying dry, you can clearly see rain leaking in his tent and running down the wall right behind him. I hope he stayed dry. Camping to me isn't about perfect camping, its about adapting to the environment. Good job as always Steve.
I was afraid the fire and rescue were there for training, like searching for a missing camper. Just waiting for the dogs to come out and straight to you lol They would have just wanted your autograph 🤣 Thanks for bring us along Steve!
11:24 I always bring an umbrella on hikes for a few reasons. I doesn’t usually rain in Austin but I use it for shade as well as cover from Police Drones that actively patrol the trails.
This is the perfect, ideal stealth camp location. It's so cozy, you feel safe with the surrounding highway traffic and law enforcement nearby. Seriously, if I were homeless and had to hunker down until things improve, this would be the spot.

Welcome to my neck of the woods Steve!! I've often thought of you camping when I drive by 🏕 the scales. Loads of people meet up at the scales but I'm impressed to see Fire department doing practice drills there. Thank you first responders for your hard work and dedication to keeping our community safe, and for keeping Steve in "stealthy mode".
I've been homeless on and off for a couple of years. I'm staying with a friend now recovering from surgery on one of my feet for frostbite. I just came across this channel and it's still very relaxing to watch steve "camp" in all enviroments!
Rock on, Steve. Always looking forward to more.
Always a brilliant day when Steve gives us a video, it's like unwrapping a present.🤩Thanks Steve.
