Wait...so let me get this straight! I was denied to have a YMCA membership to use the pool or gym beacuse of what it stood for but it is ok for them to have a library card for informational purposes? Why not go and get a library card at the Vatican?

I asked my father an elder, (that by itself is laughable) about it in front of my mother...he tried to talk over me, and distract her from what I was saying, "they made a mistake" he insisted. My mother however was very interested in the details, however she "is not letting go of Jehovah's hand". So very sad, but they are old now, what's the point in trying to convince people who have spent their whole lives in this cult. Inexcusable lies. I always had a nagging doubt about the organization, even as a child. I was proved right as they said one thing and did another. No free moral agents here, for sure! Personalities are not "made over", they are stolen...mindlessly, repeating the answers from the Watchtower that were just read to them. When did Jesus, the apostles or disciples ever turn in "time cards" that are reviewed by the circuit overseer to determine if you are a weak or strong Christian. Hypocrites, who extend personal love and friendship based on how much you do for the "corporation" aka organization. Worse than the Pharisees who always blamed the people, not themselves.
Roseanna Bogley It has become so clear to me that the time cards and loyal meeting attendance is how the organization knows if each individual is still under the mind control. If a person fades or service declines then they have reason to be afraid a person is becoming wise to the deception.

Good video, but there's good stuff left out. The building where the filing cabinet containing the 6 inch thick file on Watchtower is kept is not in the main General Assembly building. The UN DPI is across the street above the visitor's center, on the corner of 43rd and First adjacent the Department of State of the United States building. (801 1St) The conference room where Ciro and Jones sat when signing the papers and tabling the AWAKE articles is there, upstairs and tended by staffers. If you can snag a meeting, then besides the staffer, you can get an actual officer of the UN to join you. They will not let you see the file. They will not give you any more copies of anything in it. (I have two) And although the result of my meeting there last August was that the staffer was going to give me all the copies of AWAKE that are in that file, the staffer abruptly broke off communication with me in the weeks following my meeting, terminating, without explanation, my ongoing email correspondence. Why? Did Watchtower get wind of my meeting and make a threat concerning privacy? The officer made clear that privacy was an issue... More to come I'd say. This story isn't dead.

I'm stunned by this. I never knew this. The organization should have addressed this. I am thinking they swept it under the rug to save face and control the impact. What hypocrisy and deceit. Plus, they published all those books we had to study at our book studies and all that time parents made kids study and just threw the books away? As soon as I finished reading Raymond Franz two books(Crisis Of Conscience and In Search Of Christian Freedom);I fully realised I was in one of the very worst destructive cults,of modern time. You could’ve fallen in a darker hole than that.
Yes, I've known about this for many years. It's true. I accepted the apologists explanations because I didn't really want to face the truth. There really isn't any acceptable excuse and they do hold others to a standard they excuse themselves from. It's now clear, they wanted more than access to the library. The worst part about it is that they are practicing to deceive their members. They are deliberately hiding this information from those who have a right to know. By their own definition of lying, they are liars.
That book seriously messed me up as a child. It's taken 20 years for me to come back to all this to assure myself that I don't need to live in fear (a "Healthy Fear" or otherwise). Looking forward to your book.
On a positive note, the illustrations in the Revelation book were quite entertaining for a 6 year old and made bookstudy a bit less boring than it was with other books!

Apt215 Melissa Brown it’s similar to standing trial before court officials and nation leaders. Just because as true Christians that JW are doesn’t mean anything if they joined simply for a library card. It’s information they are/we’re obtaining. JW headquarters are known for doing extensive research on different matters that involved studying the scriptures. Joining this un library card was simply to obtain accurate information regarding them. This is similar to scholars getting granted permission to enter the Vatican vaults and obtain a few books at a time and only know the specific books they are needing to acquire. The only difference is that JW did it to obtain factual information so that they don’t assume information in their articles based on what they think. Nothing wrong there at all. Satan wants people to label these Christians based on petty things. This only strengthens my faith in the religion . JW and it’s members do insurmountable amount of research and that is what each magazine offers. Truth based on concrete research evidence. Whether they joined The UN for information access doesn’t change anything. JW are the only true Christians. They are the only religion that clearly acknowledge Christmas as a false pagan tradition that God does not approve of. They acknowledge the soul as being the person rather than an undying spirit within us. All this is what the Bible clearly teaches which is what they teach it. I can care less what the masses make of them. It’s nothing but bogus chismes and made up Lies. All I can say is that I was ignorant but when I started studying the Bible with them I felt as if my eyes were truly opened and despite what people told me about them I just started loving them more. Even in the congregation I felt nothing but genuine love and a family member. In my house all I felt was a sudden hostility from my own family which is why I left and never looked back. JW are my family I consider them family and if I have to die for my faith then so be it. I have no doubts of them as being the true religion on earth. Outside of them there is no other religion that can even measure up to them. I am a lover of truth and hate lies.
The elders that are finding out these truths and are not telling the congregations, (and shrugging these truths under the rug instead) may want to open this up for discussions at the meetings. If not they don't really care who lives or dies. They may want to rethink being a worker of lawlessness. As good as this video is, it omits any reference to the fact that the article, “Their Refuge--A Lie!” in the June 1, 1991, Watchtower had already denounced as apostate other religious organizations which were accredited to the UN as NGOs, doing so just before the Watchtower Society applied for such accreditation itself. This fact exposes as disingenuous the Watchtower’s claim that it was unaware of any conflict before the 2001 Guardian article. Max Power absolutely...and worst of all is the sad fact that also your "life afterwards" is deeply influenced by the years before. I was in my mid twenties when I actually started "to live" a normal young man's life...but you can't make up for a lost youth, you have to live the life of a youngster when you are young....not afterwards. Problems that you should learn to solve and/or accept when you are a teenager or young adult (especially the breaking up with someone you love) are now actually coming your way with a delay of several years...sometimes you feel so immature and unable to understand how serious relations work or don't work that you can not but conclude that you are simply emotionally unfit to live a fulfilling and stable life. And I see that same pattern with my little sister and nephews and nieces who all decided to leave "the Truth" at their mid twenties. I knew I would surely get disfellowshipped we weren't allowed to participate in sports.and I loved track. My siblings were baptized and left one by one There are 9 of us and only 2 are jw.

I remember a sister who was working at a store and she had to sell cigarettes ( they were behind the counter) she was a cashier. She was told to be no part of the world she could not sell cigarettes and had to quit her job. WT is supposed to be no part of the world and what ever the reason is for being a member it’s contradictory to what they teach and what they enforce on their members, like the sister who had to quit her job because of the cigarettes behind the counter..

I was never baptised but was around for many years & went to groups where the revelation book was studied. I recall feeling that all the JWs must be so clever & me so dumb as I could never get my head around the whole thing. As they all provided eloquent answers I sat there dumb & mute as per usual with my self esteem on the floor, trauma bonded to the whole thing. I now realise that the word salad they were all so adept at using at all meetings was something I never could adopt or engage with, the disingenuous approach to their Bible study was something I can now realise is the brainwashing I would have defended throughout those years.
I've been unofficially out over 2 years and like you, I didn't know this until I started reaeaching after leaving. I only recently brought this out to my wife and she was in shock. In addition to this and the child abuse and shunning polices, my wife is now having serious doubts about this organization. This is a woman who I never thought would have doubts and I'm in shock she's questioning. I told her she needs to confirm this all herself and prove to herself and not take my word for it. She said she's scared and nervous and if she does decide to leave, she may go into a depression. She's been in as a kid and this is a bigger deal for her than me. She always hoped our kids would be witnesses, but she's not sure now. Great job explaining this whole thing!!!!
It is over 1yr since this post. Has your wife got out? Since you were attending meetings can I suggest you and your wife might consider the fact that if you have both left the organisation now you don't have to leave the Most High God just because you leave worship, allegiance and obedience to men. Leaving religious organisations doesn't mean you are lost. True knowledge and wisdom from Almighty God is far superior than teaching by these Governing Body brutes who twist truth and who subjugate and oppress followers by whose slavery to them has made them extremely wealthy. The bible and reference to Insight on the Scriptures is all you need to fill your hearts and minds with truth. Pray for direction and it will be given you. Every time or almost every time I say 'I don't know' I am given divine instruction and I have been given many prophetic dreams. I know they are from Yah'uav'veh (the name I was given for my Heavenly Father) because I hear the scripture showing the same story I had in dreams. Incidentally Raymond Franz's book showed me what I already knew that the organisation cast the men with true spirituality who gave insight to the people were thrown out of the organisation. I knew that because Yah'uav'veh God told me before it happened.
Two smiling, initially friendly, JWs became aggressive and bid a hasty retreat from my door, only three days ago, on hearing just a fraction of these factual criticisms. Not only was their tactic not to mention, at all, that they were JWs, but to keep shouting "That's not true!" to every point I tried to make.
We hope that many JWs watch your movie and come to the obvious conclusion that the Organisation that they support is not, and has not been honest with them. This is just one more area where the leadership at Watchtower believe that they can keep their members in the dark as to what they are really doing. As in many cases nowadays, all the information is available online for everyone to make their own informed decisions, rather than take a stand based on what they read in Watchtower publications, hear from others, or simply believe without any supporting data.
+Paul Joy Quilter - There are a lot of JW's waking up, the problem is that there are generations that were born and raised in the Organization, if they leave they loose their families. Some are so devastated because there whole life was just a lie. For some it's just easier to stick their heads back in the sand and pretend everything is ok. It's sad really!

I am truly sorry for your loss, I haven't been to a meeting in awhile. I moved and refused to give them my address. I don't return their calls. I have family and friends that I talk to, but I'm not giving them power to take them away. I decided that if they try I am going to sue them.

I am appalled and I feel so deceived! Had I known about this, I wouldn't have applied for baptism. I was baptized on September 8th 2001, virtually 1 months later, the WT got out of bed with the UN after being in it for 9 years!? This was never brought to my attention, ohh so many more lies I'm discovering since my full awakening less than a month ago! Elena M. Excuse me man but do you know who the ruler of this world is? If you have never read the Bible I suggest you do regardless of version. The Bible exposes Satan as the God of this world or system of things. This alone means that all higher powers and authorities are under his influence which is why Jesus commanded his followers not to be a part of the world.
I remember as a kid many of my neighborhood friends would go to the YMCA to swim in the pool, of course I was forbidden to go with them, if only to use the pool. My dad was an elder, and due to archaic WT rules, had his child been discovered setting foot into a YMCA even just to use the pool, he would have been removed from serving as an elder. As a kid I didn't understand all the inside politics, my parents simply said the YMCA was run by the churches of false religion, and I could not go, even though at that time I was not baptized. It shows how many WT rules get enforced by setting in this case in my fathers mind that his position can be taken away if he didn't force compliance upon his children their rules.
+Jason W That is such a perfect analogy (using the YMCA just for the pool). Another case of do as we say, not as we do. I recall being in elementary school in the late 70's and early 80's, when the teachers sent us home with a small UNICEF box to collect quarters and dimes to support starving children. My parents said UNICEF was evil because it was the United Nations. My mom sent me back to school with a note that excused me from participation in the UNICEF drive "on religious grounds".
+Sundance88 I've gone way beyond the point of being surprised or dismayed by anything I hear about the WT, my hope for others, especially in the last few years and continuing on, that it has become so blatantly obvious that the WT is simply a cult and now new awakening ones can get on the fast track to leaving and living a normal life. True, using "normal" comes with caveats because once touched by WT you never truly can say leaving it guarantees normality. Here's whats wrong with the WT's position on all this: 1.) The WT Society leadership hasn't come clean about this (among many other things) and consistently persists in a pattern of denial, cover-up, passing the blame, faulty rationalization and concocting lousy excuses for their transgressions and poor judgement. 2.) They're more concerned about saving face and continuing to perpetuate the myth that they're directed by God. 3.) They're being very deceitful, and hypocritical to the JW congregation. I talked to a circuit overseer today, in the UK. He said that at Gilead training to be missionaries in 2006, it was part of the curriculum to learn about how affiliation with the United Nations "worked well for a time to send missionaries in some countries".

I asked my father an elder, (that by itself is laughable) about it in front of my mother...he tried to talk over me, and distract her from what I was saying, "they made a mistake" he insisted. My mother however was very interested in the details, however she "is not letting go of Jehovah's hand". So very sad, but they are old now, what's the point in trying to convince people who have spent their whole lives in this cult. Inexcusable lies. I always had a nagging doubt about the organization, even as a child. I was proved right as they said one thing and did another. No free moral agents here, for sure! Good video, but there's good stuff left out. The building where the filing cabinet containing the 6 inch thick file on Watchtower is kept is not in the main General Assembly building. The UN DPI is across the street above the visitor's center, on the corner of 43rd and First adjacent the Department of State of the United States building. (801 1St) The conference room where Ciro and Jones sat when signing the papers and tabling the AWAKE articles is there, upstairs and tended by staffers. If you can snag a meeting, then besides the staffer, you can get an actual officer of the UN to join you. They will not let you see the file. They will not give you any more copies of anything in it. (I have two) And although the result of my meeting there last August was that the staffer was going to give me all the copies of AWAKE that are in that file, the staffer abruptly broke off communication with me in the weeks following my meeting, terminating, without explanation, my ongoing email correspondence. Why? Did Watchtower get wind of my meeting and make a threat concerning privacy? The officer made clear that privacy was an issue... More to come I'd say. This story isn't dead.

There really isn't any acceptable excuse and they do hold others to a standard they excuse themselves from. It's now clear, they wanted more than access to the library.

Just because as true Christians that JW are doesn’t mean anything if they joined simply for a library card. It’s information they are/we’re obtaining. JW headquarters are known for doing extensive research on different matters that involved studying the scriptures. Joining this un library card was simply to obtain accurate information regarding them. This is similar to scholars getting granted permission to enter the Vatican vaults and obtain a few books at a time and only know the specific books they are needing to acquire. The only difference is that JW did it to obtain factual information so that they don’t assume information in their articles based on what they think. Nothing wrong there at all. Satan wants people to label these Christians based on petty things. This only strengthens my faith in the religion . As good as this video is, it omits any reference to the fact that the article, “Their Refuge--A Lie!” in the June 1, 1991, Watchtower had already denounced as apostate other religious organizations which were accredited to the UN as NGOs, doing so just before the Watchtower Society applied for such accreditation itself. This fact exposes as disingenuous the Watchtower’s claim that it was unaware of any conflict before the 2001 Guardian article. I was in my mid twenties when I actually started "to live" a normal young man's life...but you can't make up for a lost youth, you have to live the life of a youngster when you are young....not afterwards. Problems that you should learn to solve and/or accept when you are a teenager or young adult (especially the breaking up with someone you love) are now actually coming your way with a delay of several years...sometimes you feel so immature and unable to understand how serious relations work or don't work that you can not but conclude that you are simply emotionally unfit to live a fulfilling and stable life. And I see that same pattern with my little sister and nephews and nieces who all decided to leave "the Truth" at their mid twenties. It's about fifteen years now since I left...and the truth is I still feel very bitter about it. Very bitter

I remember a sister who was working at a store and she had to sell cigarettes ( they were behind the counter) she was a cashier. She was told to be no part of the world she could not sell cigarettes and had to quit her job. WT is supposed to be no part of the world and what ever the reason is for being a member it’s contradictory to what they teach and what they enforce on their members, like the sister who had to quit her job because of the cigarettes behind the counter..

I was never baptised but was around for many years & went to groups where the revelation book was studied. I recall feeling that all the JWs must be so clever & me so dumb as I could never get my head around the whole thing. As they all provided eloquent answers I sat there dumb & mute as per usual with my self esteem on the floor, trauma bonded to the whole thing. I now realise that the word salad they were all so adept at using at all meetings was something I never could adopt or engage with, the disingenuous approach to their Bible study was something I can now realise is the brainwashing I would have defended throughout those years.

I've been unofficially out over 2 years and like you, I didn't know this until I started reaeaching after leaving. I only recently brought this out to my wife and she was in shock. In addition to this and the child abuse and shunning polices, my wife is now having serious doubts about this organization. This is a woman who I never thought would have doubts and I'm in shock she's questioning. I told her she needs to confirm this all herself and prove to herself and not take my word for it. She said she's scared and nervous and if she does decide to leave, she may go into a depression. She's been in as a kid and this is a bigger deal for her than me. She always hoped our kids would be witnesses, but she's not sure now. Great job explaining this whole thing!!!!

It is over 1yr since this post. Has your wife got out? Since you were attending meetings can I suggest you and your wife might consider the fact that if you have both left the organisation now you don't have to leave the Most High God just because you leave worship, allegiance and obedience to men.
Leaving religious organisations doesn't mean you are lost. True knowledge and wisdom from Almighty God is far superior than teaching by these Governing Body brutes who twist truth and who subjugate and oppress followers by whose slavery to them has made them extremely wealthy. The bible and reference to Insight on the Scriptures is all you need to fill your hearts and minds with truth. Pray for direction and it will be given you. Every time or almost every time I say 'I don't know' I am given divine instruction and I have been given many prophetic dreams. I know they are from Yah'uav'veh (the name I was given for my Heavenly Father) because I hear the scripture showing the same story I had in dreams. Incidentally Raymond Franz's book showed me what I already knew that the organisation cast the men with true spirituality who gave insight to the people were thrown out of the organisation. I knew that because Yah'uav'veh God told me before it happened.

Two smiling, initially friendly, JWs became aggressive and bid a hasty retreat from my door, only three days ago, on hearing just a fraction of these factual criticisms. Not only was their tactic not to mention, at all, that they were JWs, but to keep shouting "That's not true!" to every point I tried to make.
Then you SLOW down and ask "Show me why it isnt true, I wish it were not so if you have proof I would genuinely want to see it " .
We hope that many JWs watch your movie and come to the obvious conclusion that the Organisation that they support is not, and has not been honest with them. This is just one more area where the leadership at Watchtower believe that they can keep their members in the dark as to what they are really doing. As in many cases nowadays, all the information is available online for everyone to make their own informed decisions, rather than take a stand based on what they read in Watchtower publications, hear from others, or simply believe without any supporting data.
+Paul Joy Quilter - There are a lot of JW's waking up, the problem is that there are generations that were born and raised in the Organization, if they leave they loose their families. Some are so devastated because there whole life was just a lie. For some it's just easier to stick their heads back in the sand and pretend everything is ok. It's sad really!

I am truly sorry for your loss, I haven't been to a meeting in awhile. I moved and refused to give them my address. I don't return their calls. I have family and friends that I talk to, but I'm not giving them power to take them away. I decided that if they try I am going to sue them.

Who....exactly made the decision at headquarters to join the UN and why? Any documents and memos that did exist are likely shredded by now, but wouldnt we ALL love to know.

I am appalled and I feel so deceived! Had I known about this, I wouldn't have applied for baptism. I was baptized on September 8th 2001, virtually 1 months later, the WT got out of bed with the UN after being in it for 9 years!? This was never brought to my attention, ohh so many more lies I'm discovering since my full awakening less than a month ago! Thank you Lloyd for taking the time to reveal the real truth and facts behind the organization. I was to send them my letter of resignation so bad but I can't cause my mother is still part of it.

The Bible exposes Satan as the God of this world or system of things. I remember as a kid many of my neighborhood friends would go to the YMCA to swim in the pool, of course I was forbidden to go with them, if only to use the pool. My dad was an elder, and due to archaic WT rules, had his child been discovered setting foot into a YMCA even just to use the pool, he would have been removed from serving as an elder. As a kid I didn't understand all the inside politics, my parents simply said the YMCA was run by the churches of false religion, and I could not go, even though at that time I was not baptized. It shows how many WT rules get enforced by setting in this case in my fathers mind that his position can be taken away if he didn't force compliance upon his children their rules.

I recall being in elementary school in the late 70's and early 80's, when the teachers sent us home with a small UNICEF box to collect quarters and dimes to support starving children. My parents said UNICEF was evil because it was the United Nations. My mom sent me back to school with a note that excused me from participation in the UNICEF drive "on religious grounds".
+Sundance88 I've gone way beyond the point of being surprised or dismayed by anything I hear about the WT, my hope for others, especially in the last few years and continuing on, that it has become so blatantly obvious that the WT is simply a cult and now new awakening ones can get on the fast track to leaving and living a normal life. True, using "normal" comes with caveats because once touched by WT you never truly can say leaving it guarantees normality. I'm happy though that everything they say and have said, and what they do and have done is so hypocritical, is so openly exposed now, it's like a deep gash on the face with blood running down. This video should be a big red flag to any witness that happens upon it. At least to let them know the truth. This exposure was first put out by a credible News paper not a scorned ex-witness.
I know the jw org is not truth but "the newspaper" is FAR from truth so even if they report truth they also report on things untruthfully.
Technology,internet as the powerful tool to research can build or destroy even faster. Many faithful JW from around the world have no idea about this membership to the UN. Explanations,clarifications on the part of the Watchtower are surprising. Lloyd, excellent,with great clarity video. Facts, step by step process allowing interested once to see the truth.
Here's whats wrong with the WT's position on all this:
1.) The WT Society leadership hasn't come clean about this (among many other things) and consistently persists in a pattern of denial, cover-up, passing the blame, faulty rationalization and concocting lousy excuses for their transgressions and poor judgement.
2.) They're more concerned about saving face and continuing to perpetuate the myth that they're directed by God.
3.) They're being very deceitful, and hypocritical to the JW congregation. (Do as we say not as we do, (and don't want you to discover).
4.) They're way too quick and gleefully eager to vilify and condemn others for things they themselves have been guilty of and, for questioning or not believing in teachings that in time have proven to be false.
5.)They've produced a "STUMBLEING BLOCK" to many that are discovering this information.
so what they really did they involve themselves with the Scarlet harlot for business practices

Just a note: in English, words that have a verb form and a noun form and are spelled the same, have stress associated with those forms. CONflict is a noun. ConFLICT is a verb. Many words follow this rule. PROduce is fresh grocery food, and proDUCE is to make or create something.
I left what I thought was the truth after forty years of being faithful and complying with the “organisation” .
Then found out an elder in Norwich, Prof Michael Stocking worked for the UN (probably still dose) while being on the platform at assemblies, on the blood leason comity and even closing in prayer at the very last Norwich district convention. I spoke to countless elders and two COs who defended him and told me to “leave it in the hands of Jehovah”

I talked to a circuit overseer today, in the UK. He said that at Gilead training to be missionaries in 2006, it was part of the curriculum to learn about how affiliation with the United Nations "worked well for a time to send missionaries in some countries".
I remember being told at the time of that article coming out it was because they wanted the library so some congregations must have said to followers. And of course we all leaped up the lies

I've really enjoyed the last couple of days watching your vids. I stopped believing JW's where the truth in 2003 and its entertaining to look back on this episode in my life. I think, of all the crazy that came out of JW's, the UN stands alone as a hypocrisy of such epic proportions that even Jesus's Pharisees would have been envious. From the time I started in the 80's till the time I left the UN was the great harlot and separateness from the political system was paramount. Its laughable to imagine saying in your judicial meeting after you get caught being a member of a political party "brothers I was a member because I needed a library card" lmao

I remember during that time, the Organization expressed tremendous need for all congregations to write the Malawi Government officials to stop the persecution. As a kid I was meant to be so afraid that with them Alawi thing that's weird in the way that we were not allowed to write such things as that would've been activism and I wasn't even allowed to volunteer any time towards anything that doesn't have to do with the watchtower society of them lower thing had to do with the watchtower society I still have to say I was not allowed to write anything I was not allowed to be an activist except now that I think of it when it came to speaking of World War II and j dubs in the camps until they were kept from the families which does seem bizarre considering how I was threatened my whole life that for left I would lose mine which I did and actually that was the way I skipped my violence I wish I would've known that that was the answer on a lot but when I do find weird is that when I found out later that yes they were put in the camps for going door-to-door and not going according to Karen which I don't agree they were all allowed to leave the camps they just had to sign a piece of paper that with the remote she would've gone against everything we talked but it would've allowed them out it would've allowed them to get in the camps document them and then leave again which would've loved him to save millions of people but instead they were trying to be martyrs as their training taught them to be and that's how very encampment came to be and I guess that is if someone died and they might say needlessly because I've known the same things but that doesn't mean we stick to them I find it when it comes to be dubs the lawn does get involved but only if allowed by the elders the elders only If it went up to the governing body and if the governing body said yes but mostly the big it comes with this if the crime was committed against Jay dub and not buy it you dumb but onto a G dub then it would be allowed because it makes the Jacobs look like victims which is what they want it's actually a perfect place for people that have Munchhausen by proxy or paedophiles because everyone knows you can have any person he left along with the kid even if that person has a history of doing wrong with these kids because apparently that's between him and God.
