Fire emblem fates is home to a vast amount of support conversations with some being better than others, so now it’s time to see which of them are my top 15 favourite supports in the game!

@@grapes568 you seem to have misunderstood what he said; Giraffe Dragon essentially said that since Blazingknight ships Leo and Hinoka (who is the only character to have a hair color that is that shade of red), Xander got an S-Support with Female Corrin with that shade of red (which would be incest, even if they are not related by blood)
We all know Saizo and Beruka have the best support in NA. That C support is unbeatable

Hinata is the ultimate bro that I feel is a bit underrated because of his stats that usually turn out pretty good or really bad.
Also Ryoma and Camilla + Charlotte and Xander have two of the best S support lines.

Oh my god, they make for the perfectly polite jackass pair.
I really like a lot of Laslow's supports. He's one of the characters, in my opinion, that mostly has good supports. Most notable being his support with Selena where Selena gets on his case for trying to "woo" all the girls all the time but still is happy that she still has both him and Odin as friends, his support with Peri for getting her to actually think about her actions, and his support with Mozu that shows how much of a gentlemen he really is!Not to mention a good chunck of his S supports are really sweet too! ;3
Didn't give a shit about him in Awakening, but really like him in Fates. I think I recall that his character gimmick was more overused in the previous game, too.
Personally Peri/Laslow is one of my favorite supports in the game, and flat out my favorite relationship, made even better when touched on by other things like the DLC. It's almost to bad, I like Peri a lot, but I just don't like pairing her with anyone else after seeing those two.
One thing that Fates did a lot better is keeping the character gimmicks more natural than in Awakening. They are still there but they're just a smal part of the characters now, not dominating like with Kellam for example.

***** Yes, although sometimes I feel like that's a bad thing, I loved Lon'qu because of his gimmick, and how it was handled, actually a lot like Charlotte, meanwhile I just found Hinata and Hana mostly annoying. Busterman64 I agree, as much as I love Laslow's supports with Chalotte, Selena, Camilla, and Peri with Niles, Xander, or Corrin(me), but it always feels wrong.
The part where Henry says "What a twist!" With the Niles X Peri support killed me and all my units
I fucking love Henry, he’s a bro and a bit of a weirdo… but that only makes me like him more. And with his support with Ricken, we learn about how nice the bosses we defeated in the first part actually were. Also he’s a crit monster *cue his crits quotes one after the others*
hmm, good list man. I liked a lot of your choices, while, I have my own preferences for supports in this game.
my favourite, (and arguably least favourite because of what it contains) is Leo and Elise's support, mostly because it actually gave back story and a motive to Garon, although the fact that this information was shoved into a support, rather than included in the main game pisses me the hell off.
but, otherwise, good video as always.
ZerkMonsterHunter 4 my favorite is Laslow and Peri. it goes deepest into Peri's back story and some character development for her. and plus it just seems kinda adorable in my eyes. not to mention that I think it's his only support where hes not trying to hit on a girl, so it feels natural.
ZerkMonsterHunter 4 my favorite was laslow and Peri, it details Peri backstory, it has moral grey, the both feel like they grow together, and the actually consider having a family unlike everyone who I assume got rolled up and forgot to use protection(if those things were even a thing in medieval times)
Can I be honest? I adore Fire Emblem Fates, even the story, despite it's flaws I still can't help but love it.

I love Mozu and Saizo's support. He's nice to her from the get go and he gives her a home in his village at the end and it's just so sweet. It's especially good with Asugi's support with her, because she doesn't want to lose her family again so she follows him on missions to keep him safe. They're just the perfect humble little family, I love it
That is my go to for Mozu. I freaking adore that support. Still hate how Saizo treats Asugi
How can there be only two more Fates lists left? This game has so much depth, I can think of five more lists.
I have many more fates videos planned in the future, but I feel I need a break from all of them for a while.

BLAZINGKNIGHT One last thing, what is your opinion on Shigure (as a playable unit an character)? Personally he is my favorite male child unit and that singing is just perfection. Also I love how artistic he is.
Shigure to me is rather middle of the road, not bad in any sense but he didn't stand out too much as both a character or playable unit aside from his singing voice.
and yes it sucks that the royals can talk to only 3 of them

Quartermaster revelations fills the gap of her personality pretty well in my opinion.
If you never read any of Azura's supports, you'd be right in finding her bland. But here's the thing: Azura is the kind of person who keeps her cards close to her chest. Most some of her supports bring this to light, making her appear distant and aloof until you get to know her better.
And this extends to the player as well. If you never use Azura, you'll only see one side of her. But if you take the time get to know her (by reading her supports), you find out she's a rather deep character. She's probably the most well-written character, imo, which stands out much more with Fates' story being a little weak. They opt for a "show-don't-tell" approach, instead of just announcing her personality.
Azura is hands-down, my favourite character in the game, and I'd marry her in all of my playthroughs if she, y'know, wasn't your cousin.

Oboro/Beruka
Oboro was my best non royal unit in Revelations and second most used after Corrin, so her S and A+ supports are some of my favorites, probably because of bias.
(Probably some others that I'm forgetting right now too)
Just remembered Saizo/Charlotte. I hate Charlotte, but the support between the two is surprisingly good.

I thought it was nice that someone was calling out Charlotte for her crap, and that he liked her more for who she really is and didn't want any bs. I dunno, maybe I'm crazy or stupid.
How did her force her? Saizo was arguing with her why he is good partner for her because Charlotte was initially going to reject him.

As much as I loved the Charlotte and Xander support- and I seriously love those two together- I really REALLY ship Charlotte and Benny together. After all, Charlotte never has felt the need to adopt her charade around Benny, since she considers him a close friend and someone she can rely on. Benny worries about Charlotte greatly and is often the person she goes to so she can relax from having to "wear a mask", and in their supports, the two become even closer than they already are. I find this to be a very sweet support... and their child is an absolute MONSTER of a Berserker as well, so I may or may not be slightly biased with that outcome~
Still, the Charlotte and Xander support is great, and I am glad you included Charlotte and Benny on this list at the very least.

That's one of the theories. That like Marth is called a descendant of Anri, but is actually a direct descendant of Anri's younger brother Marcelus, Priam could be Mist's descendant, and indirectly Ike's.
Don't really know if this is what the Devs intended Priam to be when they made him. They are a different team than the Tellius one anyway, so I believe they didn't really care that Ike had not love interest etc or that Marth wasn't actually a direct descendant of Anri. As it stands he is called Ike's direct descendant, so I take Ike eventually settled down in advanced age and raised a family
To describe Takumis and Leos support would be like finding out a tomato is a fruit and goes really well with Pineapples
I am so happy that Leo and Takumi's Support got so high on your list! They're support is my personal favorite, followed closely by the support for their sons! Also on my list of favorites is the trainwreck in motion that is Selena and Keaton's Support. The sheer amount of Tsundere is amazing! I totally ship those two, and refer to the ship as Tsundere-Squared!

I was hoping Arthur and Azura would be on here, to be honest. It serves as irrefutable proof (to me, at least) that Arthur is a deep, likable and *extremely* interesting character, wherein Azura's likability multiplied twofold for me. It gave a lot of insight into their characters, and their S-support was so goddamn sugary that it gave Avatar/Charlotte and Charlotte/Kana a run for their money for how much I squealed like a little girl.
Plus, Arthur/Azura is a *really* good pairing stat-wise if you ask me. If you're serious about using Arthur like I was, an Azurabot does a lot of favors for him, giving him buffs to his Speed and a MUCH needed buff to his Luck. Plus, Azura!Percy has access to THREE rally skills on top of having great modifiers, while Shigure becomes a fantastic sweeper with high Strength, Speed and a ridiculous Skill modifier.
I love this pairing so much... shame you didn't put it on here Knight, but oh well! It's your opinion after all. ;P
...I let these two marry. xDSeriously, the support was super sweet. And yes, she gibes him all the buffs he desperately needs.. (dude gets crittet way too much...)

The Corrin talk is what killed Camilla and Ryoma for me. Even despite how it turned out.

FUCK YEAH LEO/HINOKA. :D And Effie and Benny ARE pretty sweet together. I paired Siegbert/Mitama in my latest Revelation run and they're pretty cute. But honestly, I haven't disliked a Mitama support yet. She's one of my favorite kids.
Xander/Charlotte was the first pairing I ever did for either of them because I heard how great it was. I was NOT disappointed. :D Not to mention she makes an adorable mom for Siegbert.
I love Beruka and Oboro's supports. I like Oboro overcoming her Nohrian hatred but I also like it being explained and that while her anger can be extreme, it's entirely justified even if she learns not all Nohrians are like the ones who killed her parents.
OBVIOUSLY I DISAGREE WITH THE CORRIN HATE SOMETHING FIERCE but w/e. I'm interested in how you'll handle the Corrin support list with that in mind.
I do like to ship Mozu and Jakob together. It was the first support I encountered with Jakob where he wasn't being an asshole to the other person. He was unexpectedly kind to her and it was the first time I heard about his backstory. I just thought they were cute.
Xander and Charlotte are my Conquest couple whilst Xander and Sakura are my Revelations couple.
Sakura and Elise's support was so adorable. I really like how they interact with each other, finding music to be a common ground. I also enjoy how they discover different types of instruments from different parts of the world can still band together in a beautiful piece, and wish to use that to convince Hoshidans and Nohrians to get along better. I have a huge bias towards music, but I still feel Sakura and Elise's support was pretty great.
For the most part I agree with your choices, however, all my top three supports are both with the royals and all from revelations. I have a bunch to say, so strap in!
3) Leo and Sakura; I really like both this ship and support because it shows how kind and considerate Leo can be. While he can be cold and harsh with Sakura at first, by the time the B and the A support roll around it's clear that Leo is trying to help Sakura and it also helps that Sakura is a sweetie.
2)Xander and Sakura; Yea, I know this one has Sakura also, but I really like this one because it's one of the few times you get to see Xander being the gentle person he is, not to mention you also learn a more about what Xander was like as a kid and it makes you realize just how much he's changed since he was young. Also it's kinda funny since a lot of Xander's supports outside of his siblings have to do with how scary he looks because he's actually a nice guy when you get to know him.
1) Xander and Ryoma; Okay, so you mentioned this one in passing but I will say that the major reason why I really like this support is because since they are both the crown princes of their respective countries, they are hyper aware that had things gone differently, one of them would be dead. And that's what drives the conversation, plus it also shows that both Ryoma and Xander are willing to see the other side even if they don't agree. Also this may be the writer in me nerding out but I really like both Ryoma and Xander because while the characterization is sloppy at best (Poor Xander kept getting the shit stick), at the end of the day, they both want what's best for their kingdoms and their family.

My Favrite Support is between Takumi and Mozu. I just love how at first Takumi has no intrest in gardening because its Work of a Commoner but Mozu slowly turnes him into a realy patienet Gardener who realy liks the Work on the Field. I dont realy know why i love this support so much but becaose of it i TOTALY Ship Mozu and Takumi. It has probably also sothing to do with the Fact that i ALWAYS turn Mozu into a Kishin Knight ore a Sniper.

Amazing list!!! I absolutely loved Leo and Takumi's support and I'm really glad you did too! I also really liked a lot of kaden supports. Elise and azura was also awesome. I'm kinda sad I missed a lot of these supports because I haven't used a lot of the children as much, but they seem pretty awesome!
I feel like Selena x Subaki is a better pairing than Selena x Odin, mainly because it shows how much Selena has matured since Awakening, and Subaki comforting Selena about her dead mother, who he is essentially a male version of. That and Selena and Caeldori's supports with each other are just so heartwarming honestly.

Holy cow this list is so good! I did not expect to see benny and effie, kaze and saizo, and even elise and azura! the jokes in the benny and effie one were really good lol. Excellent list i must say! as always, you got very interesting opinions and views. Most of which i actually agree with minus the obvious camilla is pure trash and how anyone can like her is sickening beyond belief XD! I had a gut feeling you liked the nohrian royals a bit more since the big reason they are dragged through the mud is camilla which for you isn't a problem. I always wonder if people forget about chapter 25. It really pushes xander down to the ground and puts ryoma in a very good light. Takumi is the character the vast majority of the community agree is the best character in all of fates thanks to him having the most appearances and best character development. Poor Leo never stood a chance lol. The cinnamon buns cancel each other out and boring Hinoka beats bloodthirsty psychotic boob monster.
I do hope intelligent systems return to the formula they're clearly used to and mastered. You have the heroes, you have the bad guy, heroes win, true evil comes, true evil dies. Most FE follow this trend and it just works. They may have tried split paths here which is cool and i applaud them but they clearly still wrote the formula. Nohr are the evil douche bags that must be destroyed and Hoshido are the heroes who must win with revelations having the true evil. They tried to give incentive to join nohr but aside birthright chapter 25, nohr just has no good reason to be joined and they made it obvious. They need food? How about trading their vast ore reserves to hoshido for their vast food reservoir since their weaponry of kunai, naginata, and katana clearly use so little ore that they could use it. This point is one of many that condemns nohr. The kidnapping alone condemns nohr. I personally named it "destroyer of nohr" because it just shuts down nohr's defenses. anyone curious about specifics for the kidnapping feel free to ask. It's a rather short explanation.

This list was great, good job! I pretty much feel the same way with the choices, though I probably would’ve replaced Niles and Peri with Peru’s support with Laslow. Also, about the 16:11 mark, those two are close DEFIANTLY for the wrong reasons

It's not that I dislike FE Fates, I kind of found the supports in Fates REALLY underwhelming (Excluding a few like Oboro and Beruka, Effie and everyone, and Velouria and Selkie). I am so sad that we still haven't gotten a list of best support in Binding Blade! I want to see Milady and Elen, Lalum and Geese (YOU WILL DIE OF LAUGHTER AFTER THE SUPPORT), my favourite, (With my favourite Shaman of all time) Sophia and Fae, Clarine and Rutger and Fir and Rutger's supports. Also, when you were talking about unique personalities, you forgot to mention Sain (yes, other units are obsessed with women, but not the extent of Sain)!
Binding blade (and many other fire emblem games) supports will become lists at some point, since binding blade certainly had some great supports.

Great list! I agree with a lot of these. The only thing is, I seem to be in the minority that didn't like Oboro/Beruka's convo, mostly for the A support, which I thought was poorly handled.
Beruka and Arthur is one of my favorites. I have a soft spot for the Based Lord of Justice.

I actually think that Owain's supports with Severa while good doesn't really hold a candle to the ones he has with Camilla, as they are hillarious and rather touching and I personally don't find Ryoma and Camilla's supports to be that good, if you ask me I think I'd rather pair him with Kagero or had that opportunity been given in the game Scarlett.
Also I think Niles best support partner is either Oboro(yes, they both have incredibly hillarious supports) or Azura(as they both have a rather touching moment and development)

2016: Alright! Looking forward to the Corrin supports list!
2021: I’m still excited!
BLAZINGKNIGHT did you watch every support in the game to make this list or base it on the ones you happened to see in your runs?
For some variety, here's a few of my least favorites:
-Silas and Effie (I'm really tired of FE writers falling back on the trope of "dude with a crush and something to prove insists on guarding the female frontliner even though she's a lot better at her job." Looking at you, Innes)
-Subaki and Felicia (borders on emotional abuse, because I didn't hate Subaki enough already)
-Oboro and Corrin (from C to A, almost nothing happens. Considering Corrin was raised in Nohr and is talking to Oboro of all people, there's way too much missed opportunity here)
-Keaton and Elise (marrying Elise off to anyone gets me all big-brother protective, and for some extra salt in the wound, let's have her partner spend the whole conversation getting treated like he's not a person and being visibly uncomfortable with it. That'll just give everyone the warm fuzzies)
I agree with being super protective over the Kawaii b3ans (Elise and Sakura)

9:16 Gay Fates, a mod, has that added that support. It's honestly adorable like you said! (There's no S support, in case you were wondering from the name alone. The developer is uncomfortable with that)
And again, Gay Fates has an S support for Kagero and Orochi
I seriously don't understand why there's so much hate on Corrine, I
Curse of being a badly writen character with almost no character developement i guess.I really tried to like her (or him) but her actions and how nearly everybody immediately trustet her was a major downbeat in my opinion on her (him) sadly.

@@Aurirang the Reason for fate's sloppy story, is because the writers where trying to achieve too much with not enough time. Intelligents Systems had an idea for Fate to have three stories to appeal to everyone, but they realized that they didn't have enough writers. So they hired an outside writer, Shin Kibayashi was that writer. Nintendo wanted Shin to write the outline for each pathway, what happened instead is that Shin wrote 500 pages for each pathway. Nintendo knew this was too long so they cut the story into pieces without the writers permission and the fact the Nintendo demanded Fates come on the Fire Emblem Anniversary only made things worse. Which resulted in this hilariously mess of a story. The good news this that there is a manga based on Fates that is a little better. Its called Fire Emblem If: the Crown of Niberlung.
Hey, Blazing Knight! I have a question for you. I know you said you liked Odin and Selena's supports in Fates, but what do you think of the supports they have in Awakening? I know you said you cannot stand Severa(Selena) for being a tsundere, but she DOES have a nicer side to her, you know, and her supports with Owain in Awakening are one of the best examples of this, as it shows both her best AND worst sides. To summarize: Owain is naming weapons again, and Severa chews him out for being a weirdo. He asks if she wants to give her weapon a name, but she declines. Remember this: it becomes important later. Severa later chews Owain out again, this time for calling out each of his attacks on the battlefield and explaining that it could prove to be his undoing. Gotta admit, she's a bitch, but she does make a good point. Anyways, as we find out in their A support, this made Owain become seriously depressed, and Severa, of all possible people, is the one to snap him out of it. This is great because it makes both characters more human; showing that while Severa is capable of being mean, she knows when she's gone to far and is more than capable of being very nice when she wants to be; and it also proves that Owain has his fair share of insecurities and that the things people say DO in fact have an effect on him; this is shown again in his supports with Elise in Fates. And in their S support, Severa reveals the reason for why she didn't want Owain giving her weapon a name: she already gave it HIS name.The reason behind this? Turns out she has feelings for him and has for some time now, and all because she appreciated the fact that Owain had kept trying to befriend her for so long and was always nice to her in spite of her more "prickly" side. In my opinion, it's part of the reason I feel you give her too much flak for being a tsundere.

Niles and Felicia- Felicia trolls Niles by accident and it is HILARIOUS
Arthur and Mozu- Arthur and Mozu make a living off of Dragon shit.
One of my favorite supports is female Kana and Ignatius's support conversation, especially the S support because it gives me so many ideas for post-war teenage Kana.
How was your strength cap for Effie 35?! Mine hit 42 without capping in Conquest.
One of my favorites is Niles - Charlotte because it's not exactly the same as her others. It's similar, but she gives up instead of being discovered.
You forgot Xander and Camilla, about Xander's place in the family, and Leo and Elise, which is heart-breaking. Since this one is so sad and I have little regard for spoilers cause i'm a blatant jerk, i'm gonna talk about it. Elise goes to Leo whenever she has a question, beginning with the story of how a rainbow appears without rain. Eventually, Elise asks him a question: What was King Garon like before she was born? You could tell where this goes if you've played Conquest.
Question: do you know about the support between Selena and Caeldori?
She goes beyond the impossible and kicks Hoshidians to the curb. If there is a boulder in her way, she'll break it down. If there is no path she'll carve it with her lance. Believe in you. Not she who believes in Elise, not Elise, who believes in her. Believe in you who believes in yourself. Her's is the spear that shall rend heaven.
Kagero and Camilla? For 4 good reasons..

Nah the funniest Charlotte support is her support with Saizo.
Tbh I liked Saizo and Mozu. It showed that Saizo isn't a complete asshole and to my knowledge this was the only one where he was actually very nice and revealed a little bit of Saizos past and had many similarities with Mozu and honestly I liked the pair and I S Supported them in my First Birthright Run
the Camilla and Ryoma section gave me an answer for what the fuck am I for two specific people

i can't pick a favorite support. but i found Takumi and Oboro's supports very sweet and yes, i ship it, i also favor Leo and the Avatar's support because Leo is my FE fates husband everytime, i also love books
I cant help myself but think Camilla looks weird, and I dont mean the lack of armor, but I like how she actually looks as a sprite, but in all the animated cutscenes she looks just... big, I dont know, large :D Her hair, her figure and everything. I get that she is probably quite tall, but even next to Xander she looks big :D

I don't care too much for either but Laslow and mozu really caught me off guard. I ship that so much. I do like inigo and severa but Odin and Selena seems better.
The supports between the childeren reminds me that the childeren should have had the focus in their own game or arc (FE4 second gen-like)

A support I was surprised I enjoyed was Azama and Effie. Since Azama is such a dick, I wanted to pair him with some one who would punish him for being an asshole. Unfortunately, he can't hang out with Peri and I had already wed Beruka to Saizo by that point, so I thought Effie might snap him like a twig if he insulted her. It started as him telling her that her reckless devotion to her allies on the battlefield was foolish while he was healing her, but by the end he found her selflessness to be inspiring and decided he wanted to better himself.
