Well this I certainly ironic! I mean top 10 fire emblem classes was my first fire emblem video, top 10 worst fire emblem classes was my first subscribers special, and now here we are at top 10 fates classes, I believe this is known as full circle!
Indeed Fire emblem fates added many new classes to the fire emblem series, each of them bringing something new to the table and having their own strengths and weakness, and now it’s time to see which of them are my top 10 favourite classes in the game!

just give Felicia the weapon "Felicia's plate" it is also a magic weapon, BUT, it lets you use critical hits and offensive skills, it doesn't seem to have any weakness's either.
My name for the Kinshi Knight class: Exactly what the Griffon Knight class should have been.
Amen to that
I still think Snipers are better Bow Units, but Shigure actually made a pretty good Kinshi Knight in my first Birthright run. But Ninjas are awesome, I totally agree on that. Especially Suzukaze. He's nice, a great Mage Slayer and a really great Unit overall. And I love his Support with Aqua. They are so cute together.
I feel Griffon Riders should've been a Pegasus/Sky Knight promotion if you ask me. Just give them a Lance, better skills, and alter their stats a bit. It didn't make sense for them to be a Wyvern Rider promotion.
Shouldn't Griffon riders have swords instead? We could use more flying swordsmen.
Buhnana Farms I'm here wondering why Wyvern Riders/Lords don't use Swords :/
i knew ninjas were going to be the top before i even clicked the video, those bastards are annoying to fight. don't believe me? play before awakening on any difficulty above normal
Samson B they're so useful, they kill off the EXP thieves and have virtually no defence, so are good for grinding.
Samson B but if you want the good reward in that stage, you need those "exp theives" alive by the end
Samson B play that FREAKING CONQUEST MAP right after you get shura. IF YOU DONT HAVE JAVELIN EFFIE, NILES, OR XANDER IT IS OVERR. Those ninjas will chip damage then have the masters finish you off WHILE you take damage from spikes. Chapter 10 and the one after you get shura is one of the hardest/most annoying in all of conquest
@@johnmcswag5980 Yeah, Ch.17 of Conquest? That is my most mated map out of all three routes of Fates, that map is BULLSHIT! In my Conquest Hard run, I was trying to do it without using Boo Camp, but it got so bad in that chapter that I had no choice. Anytime I see a Ninja or even a Maid, oh yeah, they're going down first -_-
The maid class is fantastic. My maid Corrin has a whole bunch of self-healing skills (Lifetaker, Renewal, Sol, Live to Serve) and Shuriken Fair, a variety of shurikens, daggers, and the Yato for the extra stat boost is great.
I don‘t hate Rinkah, but she stands no chance in front of Benny and Effie. I mean 20% HP and 25% Str growth, that even lower than Azura.
He was sleep deprive when he made that comment (judging by how late this video when up), We all know rinkah hits like a fly swatter on armored units !
that's true unless you use magic
Idk rinkah's magic isn't all that good, pretty sure effie would slap stars out of her if she try using magic (seeing how effie would have the weapon triangle advance) and benny would laugh the damage off
Yeah but it would go from crap to meh depending on RNG
Ryu Hayabusa yea it is possible but going against the odds
After coming home from a long shift at work, I needed this...thanks Blazing Knight!(I'm also happy for somecallmejohnny's video too!) ;3
I hope Nintendo keeps watching your videos! You make brilliant points
DAMMIT MAN, I WANTED TO SLEEP. Oh well, see you in 20 minutes, bed
same here lol
Richie Garton me three
Your countdowns kick serious booty :)
Props for your number two choice. That's become my new favorite class of all time alongside Sorcerers.
Amazing video! The new classes in fates were amazing and really made things more exciting. I agree with every entry on this list! I especially grew to love ninjas after using Kagero since her high strength and speed made her an absolute monster on the battlefield.
I also loved spear masters coming back, especially since I don't have a way to play radiant dawn/path of radiance so I've never experienced them until now.
Also can't wait for the 3 for all!!!
Ahh man that sucks! The tellius games are some of the best in the series, if you every get the chance to, you really should play them, also glad you enjoyed the video and are excited for the 3FORALL
BLAZINGKNIGHT Thanks! I've heard they're amazing, but the problem is that it's almost impossible to get a hold of a copy of one without paying way too much money. Sure, I could use an emulator, but I'd rather not, especially because it's just so much better to experience the real thing on my home console.
Your 3FORALL's are really exciting! I'm especially excited for this one because people argue about Fates vs Awakening all the time! It'll be nice to see which one comes out on top when each aspect is carefully considered :)
The Tellius games are good, but watch out for Micaiah
Ayyy Kagero finally got number one
...I never noticed that! Well spotted :D
BLAZINGKNIGHT senpai noticed me ;o
Indeed Senpai has noticed you! :)
Saying that Rinkah is not fucking around is hilarious considering how Rinkah is in the game.
Good video Crash. This was the first FE Fatesathon video I've fully watched mainly because I haven't played Fates yet (getting it this month tho). Unfortunately I won't be trying some of these classes because I plan to do a No Heart Seal run (except for Odin) and I plan to get Conquest first.
I really like the Outlaw class. Both ninja and outlaw make the "thief" unit unique, as opposed to other games where the thief is just a weak sword user.
congrats on the collaboration fam, looking forward to it!
I am legitimately convinced that Kaze is the best unit in the game.
Also, funnily enough, you and I uploading on the same day, fancy that. well, I have another FE video of my own to work on, still looking forward to that collaboration with Heemin!
That certainly is ironic, but like they say "great minds think alike".
Pretty sure Ryoma is Top Tier.
I'd argue Ryoma is only top tier in birthright, he gets a little outcompeted in REV. you see, every fire emblem game has a fetish for a certain weapon type that is the most common on enemies, FE7, swords, SS, axes. Awakening and Fates, Lances. the Lance problem is especially obvious in REV and conquest. thus a swordlocked Ryoma suffers as such.
Oh, didn't know that, since I'm halfway through REV atm. I'm currently fighting against Camilla and Flora, does Ryoma join anytime soon?
Can we just talk about how beautiful the Kinshi are in this game?
the tf2 scout part was my favorite part
your fire emblem fates vid has earned you a sub = )
Personally, I was really happy they added a lot of these classes. My main issue with so many classes is that it's hard for there to be a lot of representation in them, but the fact that they're mostly promotions does help. I really liked Oni Chieftain as it added a tanky infantry axe unit to the game, which we've been missing. Adventurer is really nice as it brings more out of the thief class, making it primarily a ranged support unit (which is good cause they have terrible defense). Kinshi Knight is a nice addition for a flying bow unit, since most flying units have melee weapons. Basara is one of the most powerful classes in the game, sharing slightly lowered stats to Spear Master, but beating them in overall HP, magic, luck (of which it has one of the highest luck stats in the game) and resistance, in addition to it having rend which it can fully make use of compared to other classes.
Maid/Butler is one of the best supporting classes, as it can make use of staves for healing and daggers for debuffing, so even if they don't perform as well offensively later in the game, they still can assist allies, and their high skill allows them to proc skills like Luna which can be incredibly helpful if they want to deal damage. Malig Knight is like a slower but more physically tanky version of the Dark Falcon class, having similar strengths to the class combat wise. Ninja is one of the best and arguably one of the most powerful (and probably broken) classes in Fates due to its high speed and skill, making it an overall better version of the Assassin in previous games since it doesn't have to rely solely on swords nor will it be defenseless against oncoming enemies thanks to daggers (plus, shuriken specifically boost their speed by two points, which is pretty ridiculous since it gives them even more doubling potential and avoid).
My opinion on the 10 classes you chose:
10. Merchant
It's okay as far as a class is concerned. It definitely has a niche in being a tanky archer, allowing it to make some mistakes when enemies catch up. However, they are not as offense based as snipers. What is a nice boon is that they have enough weapon ranks to use guard naginata or spy's yumi.
9. Oni Chieftain
They're more bland as just tanky axe fighters since they have competition with a lot of bulky axe fighters like generals, great knights, wyvern lords, etc. However, they bring a nice niche in being the tankiest mage in the game along with horse spirit. If you pack offensive skills, you can make up for the lower hit rate and magic while also hitting enemies on res, something both tanky mages and physical walls lack.
8. Adventurers/War priestess/great master
Adventurers are continuations of tricksters but better aligned for mage killing and being safer (bows). If you want a hybrid thief and healer, this class exists. It's weird for me though since staff users want to be close to allies to help while thieves want to be alone to reach objectives. I feel war priestess barely did anything different than war clerics other than playing safer (bows). A healer is still going to have problems hurting things physically and they're still mostly doing what they would usually do. Great Master is alright since the one exception to the rule is Asama and even he still has problems getting weapon ranks. At least he comes with usable attacking/defensive stats to make use of the more physical nature of the class and he uses renewal really well.
7. Master of Arms
Tankier heroes with lances. While they do a similar job to a great knight, they aren't designed to handle what great knights can since they mostly come from samurai. What is weird about them is line of death. They differentiate from sword masters by being tougher at the cost of speed and skill and they gain strength seal to help emphasize more drawn out fights. However, line of death contradicts their tankiness and requires them to playing almost the same way as a sword master except a lot less evade. Ofc, skills can be added/removed so that won't be a problem. If you need a tankier more versatile hero, master of arms is a good choice. Guard naginata heroes ftw.
6. Kinshi Knight
A harder class to work with since they have a lot less stable stats in being both frail and mediocre in offensive stats. However, they are one of the most offensive classes to have in groups, as they specialize in picking off single/flying targets with dual attacks and provides long term sustainability to groups. Their main specialty is providing offense in a way that's hard for enemies to retaliate. For example, they can perch themselves over water/mountain edges and bottomless pits to snipe enemies without retaliation. A great class for later game when that unit receives more offensive skills such as line of death, quixotic, death blow, etc.
5. Basara
Rend heaven is great. As a class overall, they really are extremely average. That's not so bad though since they have access to tank weapons, but their stats are okay. Oni Chieftain is still the best mage tank overall.
4. Mechanist
Clone puppet most op. As a class overall, they are very supportive on offense and fulfill a wide variety of jobs, being similar to bow knights in objectives work while also being safer than ninjas in terms of survivability. However, elite ninjas are better overall in the long run.
3. Maids/Butlers
I feel this class had some of the biggest problems in the game. They come from the frailest class in the game, so most units who jump in will be very frail. While some would argue that their lower strength is offset by the versatility of hidden weapons, they deal no damage and provide small debuffs at the cost of a turn of not healing. They also start at E rank with that weapon, so they can't do much other than brass/raider/joke hidden weapons until they train much longer using them. The biggest problem with this class in my opinion is that the strategist is just better. High mobility, a weapon that scales off the stat they'll use more, and providing auras by being there, strategists bring much more to the table. While they can't use the S rank staff, who cares? It can only be used once and it brings someone back from the dead. You either lose an S rank staff or a unit when in that dilemma. Most people would rather reset anyways. I feel that they could have done better if they gave better options for the maids/butlers to be more useful on offense, either with E-rank magic based daggers or early hidden weapons that emphasize more on debuffing than damage.
2. Malig Knights
I guess they're alright as far as magic/physical hybrid flying units go. They are definitely better than dark knights (swords and tomes lol), while still carrying on similar weaknesses to that class (bad skill/SPEED). If you want a more dedicated tanky flyer, a wyvern lord is better, but at the very least the malig knight is a class that can run around with horse spirit if the unit is developed well enough. The skills are pretty good too, but skills can be traded so...
1. NINJAS
Honestly, the class would have been alright. High skill/speed/res, they didn't seem like a much of a balance problem. However, they have two problems. First of all, skills are transferable, meaning they can make up weaknesses with certain skills or bolster their strengths higher. This wasn't the main problem though. The REAL PROBLEM IS THAT SHURIKENS ARE OVERPOWERED. They are the most versatile weapon in the game, providing decent damage AT 1-2 RANGE WITHOUT DRAWBACKS while at the same time COUNTERING THEIR COMPETITION (magic). On top of that, they also DEBUFF JUST BY TOUCHING. Even if the base damage is lower, they still do so much, and there is rarely a moment where ninjas aren't useful in combat because of that. Even if you manage to dodge a ninja's attack (35 skill with one of the most accurate weapons in the game lol?), poison strike deals so much damage and then the debuff happens anyways. There are also so many shurikens they can do almost everything from beast killing, armor piercing, magic variants, killer variants even sniping variants (spy's shuriken) and all of these shurikens GIVE +2 SPEED JUST FOR EQUIPPING THEM. That might not seem like much, but they would effectively have 37 speed, allowing them to double even heroes at max speed. They're even more painful when if comes to dueling because they can always attack on enemy phase, can abuse 1/2 panel range on their phase, and they have one of the best evasion/hit rates in the game. They even get swords to counter their axe weakness despite S rank in shurikens because IS CAN'T AFFORD THEIR PERFECT NINJA CLASS TO HAVE ANY WEAKNESSES. They do have problems getting past really tanky units on offensive phases and they do have durability issues, but skills can compensate for that and THEIR OFFENSE WILL ALWAYS BE MEANINGFUL NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO and they can always do it safely.
I mean they can get sunrise katana as a shuriken that still debuffs and they have rally shurikens?! COME ON, WHY DIDN'T THEY GIVE MORE TO THE FREAKING CLUBS?! WHY DO THE HOSHIDAN WEAPONS HAVE SO MUCH EVADE/STAT BONUSES?! +5 SPEED ON QUICKDRAW FOR NO COST?! GUARD NAGINATA!?!?! HORSE SPIRIT GIVES +12 STATS?!?!?!?!?! AT LEAST GIVE NOHR SOME LOVE MAN! I CAN'T RELY ON KILLER WEAPONS ALL THE TIME!! WHY DID YOU GUYS HAVE TO GIVE THE REAVER/SLAYER WEAPONS TO HOSHIDO?!! CONQUEST NEEDS SOME OF THAT STUFF IN THE STORES TOO!!!!! WHY IS THERE A F#@KING A RANK DAGGER IF THE ONLY UNIT THAT CAN USE IT IS THE SOLE NINJA IN CONQUEST?! NONE OF THE HOSHIDAN CLASSES CAN USE THE SOLDIER'S DAGGER!! WHO MADE THESE CLASSES MAN?!?!?!?!
Sorry if this was long. That's my opinion on this list.
I will agree-there did need to be more club-wielding Hoshidan classes. I mean, Rinkah is the only unit in Birthright who starts out as a club user. That lack of unit variety is pretty bad...
I remember when I promoted mozu to master of arms and she had the sword catcher, pike ruin club, axe splitter wyrmslayer and beast killer it was wonderful
I just realised that Rem and Ram from Re:zero are like Flora and Felicia...
Imagining scout being a kinshi knight is like a god as a god.
Seriously, great class with one if not THE best TF2 classes.
Thank you for that scout reference. I needed that.
Hey man, I really enjoy your channel and look forward to seeing your videos. Keep it up!
Thanks dude i'm glad you enjoy my videos :)
Any good ideas for making my avatar in after a completely deadly malig knight, blaze? What weapons and stats should I prioritize? What skills do I need?
Wow Crash, your videos just keep getting better and better. Keep up the great work!
Thanks very much i'm glad you like them so much :)
Oh your vids are my favorite part of my Sunday.
Im just curious if you are going to talk about the DLC Heirs of Fate. Personally I enjoyed this dlc story arc a lot more then Future Past from Awakening. The final chapter had me tearing up during the fight and the credits From the emotional impact of the story for that chapter. Would be cool if ya cover this, but its understandable if ya dont since youve done a bunch of fates stuff already XD
I haven't watched the entire video, but i gave Midori the Merchant class and she had an ability, that i cant remember the name of, that gave her gold bars every time she attacked, so she became extremely op. So, while the merchant is normally situational, they can become devastating if they have both the ability i mentioned and Spendthrift.
Aww, I was hoping it would be a three for all on all the Fates games. Then again... we already know your opinions on these 3 games enough, so maybe it's for the best.
Okay, do you have an updated Top Fire Emblem Units comparing the best units of the new and the old?
Oooooohhh, the next Free for all is gonna be *interesting* ! I can't wait! ;P
Dang it, I really wished you had used Anna's theme for the Merchant, I think that was a HUGE missed opportunity.
Hehe, I see what did there with that Flame Shuriken. Nice.
I like the mechanist, master ninja, maid, weapon master, Kinshi knight and Malig Knight
Mechanist...
it's probably mostly because it's movement of a horse without a horse, beast slayer ain't going to do jack against this! I love the choice of a Green weapon (axe/bow) and a blue weapon (knives/spear)
Master Ninja
man, these are monsters nothing hits them, and while I usually use ninja's to weaken foes with shurikins if you can put a silver shurikin in one of these guys hands they'll be KILLING the foes, the only thing to look out for is a Green weapon but WA-CHA he's got a sword the Bane of blue weapons (oh also they should have lock smith which is very convenient)
Maid
fantasic support you can use them to either sap an opponents stats or heal someone and oh man "Live to serve" AMAZING sometimes I have the problem of who's healing the healer? in this situation it's the goshdarn healer!
Weapon master
a bit of a cop out but access to a Red, Blue and Green Weapon awesome... (I mean yeah Great Knights but I mainly use their Axe and put them on the front lines as god-like tanks) especially if you make it a Javlin, throwing Axe and Kotachi. or the Axe Splitter, the sword chatcher and I forget what the last ones called Spear killer?
Kinshi knight
you have a flyer carrying a Bow, the bane of flight
Malig Knight
oh man Acsess to Powerful spells and Axes with a range to boot just give a Malig knight a body guard so that every other attack gets blocked and you'll kill everyone in no time.
and although you excluded it I like the concept of Nohr/Hoshido Prince
I love the symbolism of how you gain the power of more killing options from Nohr and the ability to heal from Hoshido it's great symbolism I feel.
---
Haha I loved your "Scout montage" on the Kinshi Knight.
loved the art on the "quickball" segment
What!? you going to bring some loser on for the end of the marathon? come man finish it how you started I don't want some loser ruining the "CrashX500 feel" of videos the other guy probably sucks!
Heemin Gamin Station can't wait for your collaboration video!
oh yeah
Yeah, he should collab with someone who actually makes good content, you know? Not some random loser...
The Insane Penguin Yeah! Forgot HeeminLaminStation!
Heemin Gamin Station Pike-ruin club
Merchants are a godsend in conquest if you don't need Mozu as a Master of Arms. Disabling Spendthrift and just collecting the gold can net you a ton of cash considering Mozu has a 70% luck growth with her Aptitude.
Nice countdown. And I know you don't like Corrin but is top ten Corrin Supports still going to be a thing?
At some point it will be yes.
16:35 jesters please dagger mastery or the ability to have lots of weapons why are there no jesters explain
Question: Aren't the Ninja and Master Ninja basically the Thief and Assassin classes from the Tellius games, though?
Granted, the shuriken of Fates are also rather different from the knives of Tellius
Also, would you consider the Fates Dread Fighter the 3rd tier of the Ninja class? B/c I kinda see it that way.
My favorite class comes from Genealogy, and it's not that good, but it's called Master Knight. It's pretty easy to overlook and definitely not worth promoting into, but it is a pretty funny class to play with.
I love it when a Butler activates Leathity at melee range. Spin to win! I'm also really sad there are no generic Butlers in the game. I would've loves to see what those looked like. But seriously, Maids/Butlers are great.
I didn't expect it to be on here but I personally love the Onmyoji class.
Adventurer is a pretty nice class! Even better if you get Anna(dat magic stat is good stuff)! Give her a Shining Bow and watch her go! ;P
my idea for a fire emblem class is the braveknight who uses swords and eventually lances and get abilitys that would support their stats and could have a ability that absorbs the hp of the enemy but halfs the damage instead what do ya think
I would also like to note priestess and adventurer have another difference
The outlaw class line are basically the nohr version of thieves and there skills lean to that, while shrine maiden and priestess are healers and there skills lean to this.
I had Kaze and Beruka S support in Conquest, then reclassed Kaze as a Samurai and Beruka as a Ninja (using the love seal). They were pretty weak until I got their weapon ranks up but hoo boy once Beruka was a master ninja her and her daughter Midori (merchant) cleaned house in the late game.
I don't know how to say this but thank you for your videos. I recently went through a break up and all that's been keeping me up is fire emblem and watching your lists. Please don't stop making them, you are really talented and one can really tell you are passionate about the series.
Thanks very much that means a lot to me, and i'm glad my videos were able to help you through your break up, and I won't stop making them, especially if people like you love them so much, thanks again buddy! :)
Oi Crash/BLAZINGKNIGHT what videos will come after the Fates video "season"?
I won't be specific, but there will be a Monster hunter and Anime video afterwards
BLAZINGKNIGHT
Okay, thanks for the answer .
Monster Hunter sounds nice !
Personally, even when Jakob and Felicia begin using their combat effectively, for me they were excellent healers. When someone tried to hit them they could de-buff the enemies with Shuriken in birthright.
12:50 Nice pun xD I can really appreciate that one.
one of the few times i am subscribed to both parties in a colab.
That picture of Joshua as a Merchant is (no pun intended) pure gold.
I just finished birthright and man im hyped for what the future holds
I'm scared actually.
how is that? each path fills in the others plot holes
There's a difference between what the story was supposed to do and what the story actually did. Corrin is an extremely poorly written character, his naivety is treated as a superpower, not a flaw, Azura is super cliche, they tried way too hard to make her the cryptic and seclusive character, they basically took the trope, didn't add anything to it to make it interesting, and did the stand alone trope incorrectly. The character deaths are trying too hard to be sad without actually putting any emotion into them. Characters feeling sad does not equal the player being sad. There are too many traitor angles, very few of them make sense, Corrin is the only character that "develops" despite not developing at all, maybe except Takumi, Leo, and Kaze, but their developments were pretty generic to be honest. Especially in Conquest and Revelation, Corrin makes choices and does things that no logical human being would ever do, and falls into the most simple of traps, but people always believe in him anyway. They made Hoshido 100% the good guys, and Nohr the bad guys, failing to create a gray area. The world building is inexistant, they made plot points that didn't made sense, they didn't make plot points creating missed opportunities. The biggest instance of this is that Corrin can turn into a dragon. While it is revealed why (in DLC, which doesn't help), I think it would have been cool if Corrin's dragonstone cracked or something, making him fight off his draconic instincts. The first rampage should not have been the only one. And last but not least, Revelation doesn't "reveal" anything that we actually had questions about, just things that the player could have pieced together themselves. The only revelation that you're given is that the scriptwriters don't know what they're doing. And the few plot points and scenes that actually worked and actually invoked emotion failed to do that, simply because they felt out of context with everything else, they had no buildup. In short, the Birthright story was generic, the Conquest story was ambitious and I could appreciate what it was going for, but has too many holes, and the Revelation story is just salvageable. And actually, the one important thing that Revelation "reveals" that explains literally everything is also revealed in Conquest Chapter 16.
The stories were SUPPOSED to fill each other's holes, but instead created more of them. To be honest, the story is inexistant. There's no story, just plot devices that serve just as well as filler. With Conquest, it's forgivable, because the map design is brilliant, Birthright to a lesser extent because it had the most feasible plot, but also the most generic map design, and Revelation, the "best" and "true" path has an inexistant story, and atrocious map design except for maybe three chapters. They didn't even do the recycled maps right.
The worst part of all, in a game that's supposed to be about choices, the path choice is the only choice the player actually makes, except for a single choice made in Conquest that has literally no story relevance.
I agree with you, but instead of writing an essay; say most of what was in Fates was "random and irrelevant."(not my words)
coming back to this video after having a few adventures in the realms of Fire Emblem it's come to make me realize that I very much love mounted unit classes, with my favorite being the Wyvern rider/lord cause everything is better with dragons, and I do mean this. I find, strategy wise, I tend to want to get to the fight and end it as quickly and efficiently as possible, best way to do that? use the increased speed of mounted units to get where you need to be quicker. however at the same time I know not everyone is suited to ride a mount which is where I struggle. Trying to find non-mounted units I like. So I ask both the comments and the creator of this video. what non-mounted class in fire emblem do you think I'd like? To help with this, I'll tell you how I play. If I had to sum it up in one word "Risky" is how I'd describe my strategies in fire emblem risky, but efficient. The class can be from any fire emblem game as long as you think it fits.
From a speed running stand point Wyvern Lords are the best class in FE and its often the case across all games.
Regard non mounted classes I enjoy, it varies from game to game but for the most part: Hero, General, Gremory, Assassin, Berserker, Ninja, and Sorcerer are some of my favs.
@@BLAZINGKNIGHT50 ah yes the general class! I actually remember using a few in echoes know that I think on it. It wasn't my favorite class due to it's rather low movement, but I didn't hate it ether since it had so much bulk and strength it could get hit by a freight train, laugh, and hit said train with the force of a nuke.
nice video
What is your least favorite fates classes
I changed my avatar's class to Lodestar was that a bad idea because I wanted the speed buff
Dude, it's the Avatar. Their stats and growths make sure they rock in pretty much any role.
It maybe unlikely but it Would be cool to See these Classes Appear in other Games
I made Mozu a Master of Arms and while not the best unit, she's still freakin' great! Like BK said, they don't have too many advantages/weakness, but they're still pretty potent enough as is(Mozu for me especially. I always charge into battle with her having my back! Heck, she saves me from a restart a lot of the time)! ;P
I remember back when you only had 500 subs. Good times
I called it that ninja/Master ninja would be #1! Also the TF2 segment was genius.XD
+BLAZINGKNIGHT one question, is there a scroll triangle in fates, and if that's the case how is structured?
There isn't a scroll triangle, scrolls come under the same category as tomes and share the same triangle.
+BLAZINGKNIGHT which of the scrolls is the most powerful one?
Not sure to be honest, if you use the fire emblem wiki you can probably find out.
+BLAZINGKNIGHT oh ok i'll find it, thanks
Horse spirit is probably the most broken scroll
My go to is the mechanist
puppet mount is awesome
Half of the classes mentioned on here are my favorite classes that Fates introduced.
I Wonder If Takumi is good has a Butler since He have a Butler outfit in Warriors
You know the balistician with vantage and lunge is the best class in the game?
(The idea of damadging all constanty)
Or a berzerker with astra(or sol) and crit (i 1 shotted the king with a level 5 zerk by the time i got to chap 12)
(single)
The trouble i had with Rinkah for the longest during my hard-run was, that she simply wouldn't hit anything and got majorly strenght-screwed. At Level 20 she had 13 strength which is for a fighter class abysmal. Since i was too lazy to train somebody else she just kinda hung around behind Ryoma. But in the end she really did become rather good because she got some decent level ups. I can imagine her being an absolute beast, if she doesnt get screwed over like mine did. xD
Sadly when playing Hoshido-route you can't reliably get a magic bow. I imagine Sakura being an absolute terminator with that thing. xD
Master of arms.. was a nice class with the sad drawback of Fates ultra slow Weapon-rank-leveling. For those who bother grinding for hours to get the rank up it's gonna be good (or stuff some arm scrolls into them), for me it was rather meh-ish.
Kinshi-Knights... It was a class i really really tried to love. Because what is more awesome than flying into battle on a giant Bird shooting arrows? (besides Griffons, i was really hoping they'd keep them) But i tried promoting Mozu and Takumi to Kinshi-Knights. Takumi was actually way worse as Kinshi than as sniper, not even the additional Movement could fix that. Mozu was... okay-ish. I guess the best Candidate for the Kinshi would be Hinoka.
Basara really flashed me. I made Hayato into a Basara. The little Kid was more lethal than Ryoma. MORE. LETHAL. THAN. FREAKING. RYOMA!!He maxed out def, had a high res so barely anything did much damage and thanks to having both spear and scrolsl he simply couldn't be walled by anything either. Sadly rend heaven is a bit a meh-skill since unless you're facing off some rare threats that are balanced, it's simply useless in 90% of the scenarios. Mages dont have strength, Generals dont have magic... The only enemies i found the skill usefull was against the errant Malig knights and Dark knights.
Mechanist is quite funny and the Replica-spell is completely op. No more to say to that.
I found Felicia to be much better than Jacob in the long run. Early Game Jacob is better as he got a higher strenght than magic but he suffers from this ehavily in the long run because he just cannot give the same potent healing out that Felicia can. But i am guilty of turning Felicia into a strategist every time i get my hands on a heart seal, because i don't want to have to wait with her to get a flame shuriken and having a strong magic user with high range is a very neat thing to have.
Malig knight looked great on paper for me, but maybe it's just my Camilla that turned out like an absolute wet paper. She gets hyped to heights, but in all my playthrough she suffered alot from either not quite having enough def/res or just about not enough att/mag to pull off some decent use. Her skills only mitigated some of these issues sadly. Never really trained Beruka though.
Master-Ninja Kaze, Lethality all around, 'nuff said. =DI acutally preferred Saizo over Kagero, since she was a literal glass-cannon. Saizo was good as the more bulky type to take out anything physical that had long range weapons (or weakening them) and Kaze.. well.. he's outdone the other two by miles in every single playthrough of Birthright on lunatic. I also really liked to reclass him shortly to a samurai to get the nice vanatge on him
Since ya now have a new buckets of new classes to pick from Fates on top of the veteran classes from the entire franchise, would the #1 class for ya still be the General?
Yep
+SaviorSword Meh. Like the Valkyrie the most.
for the berseker, I like to heart seal beruka and then master seal. she will crit so much, and she has pretty much brought me through conquest.
why hasn't there been a fire emblem fates lp yet I'm always checking your Playlist to see if there is one
Because I currently do not have a capture card to record gameplay footage, once I get one I will start doing fire emblem LP's and i'll let everyone know i'm doing them.
Trust me, the worst class that you want to fight is swordmaster. Try do the challenges at birthright/revelation with lv 40 sword master, you'll turn crazy by their avoid. Btw I'm playing ut at lunatic difficulty
I totally agree that you should make a let's play for Fates.
Interestingly, Awakening was my first Fire Emblem game, Super Smash Bros had nothing to do with it.
I love giving the oni chieftain the great club or killer axe with death blow to give them crazy high crit rates
Mage Knights (Dark Knights) were in FE 4 and 5 too (I haven't played them yet. WHY CAN'T I FIND AN ENGLISH TRANSLATION!!!), but I don't think of FE 8 Mage Knights to be the original Mage Knights, as they are two COMPLETELY different things, other than using magic.
damn lethality still brings to my mind my duels against my friend if fe where all his units on the field have lethality
Doubt you get this kind of comment often, but the castle code in the description doesn't work.
Fates Castle codes are region locked, so you probably just have a different region game them him.
Hydreigon is OP That explains why I haven't seen the Kamuis with inevitable Japanese text. I checked his profile, and I don't live in the UK.
Thanks for the advice, anyway.
tell me... how long is fates-a-thon ? XD i dont mind i love it
There's only one video left.
When you get a chance BlazingKnight, I would highly recommend playing a translated Fire Emblem Genealogy of the Holy War. It's scale and epicness rivals the Tellius series. I think you would enjoy it. I know I have.
I'm playing Genealogy of the holy war atm
Felicia: I'm from the ice tribe!
Me:*gives Felicia a flaming shuriken*
Felicia: *_am I a joke to you?_*
I'm a little surprised that Malig Knight was so high. They have great skills, but I never keep any units in it because the stat caps are really eh, and the dragon/flying weakness was really disadvantageous.
I say the Lodestar class is the best, if you count DLC because of high speed, luck, and skill. The draw back is low defense though, so the Lodestar is a "Evade everything" class while landing a ton of critical hits.
Finally someone else who loves the maid/butler class!!!
care to explain the name change from crashx500?
he needs more of an identity
It's explained at the end of his "Top Ten Underrated FE Units" video.
BLAZINGKNIGHT, in each of the 3 paths, which child unit will you give up so you can marry your waifu?
I caught that Kuroshitsuji reference. I mean, I've seen season one over 80 times full length. So. It would be hard to miss.
Could you do your least favourite charecters? I expect mozu to be there exclusively for trying to stand where Donney stood.
Clearly you didn't see my top 15 fates characters video :P
Oh shit..
Hero has been one of my preferred classes in the series, so when i saw that Blacksmith is basically the same thing but favors axes over swords, i knew i had another class to enjoy. unfortunately their skills kinda suck and you only get a few characters who can change to Blacksmith, the skills they get from Oni Chieftain absolutely make up for it. get DeathBlow and Counter, then switch to Blacksmith to be an unstoppable powerhouse.
This video was pretty good, BlazingKnight. (Crash) However, if there's one thing about the new classes that I don't like, it's this: There's 2-3 variations of classes that use the same combinations of weapon types, often making the other classes in competition with said class, obsolete. What does this mean? A waste of a class, a waste of the budget funding, and a lack of originality. Every class that isn't 1-2 weapon locked (or mounted) feels stale and systematized to fit the needs of economic Fire Emblem Playstyles. What I mean by this, is as I've already stated, certain classes render existing classes or similar classes obsolete. Like how the maligknight renders a basara or oni-cheiftian obsolete, unless you have no clue how to keep away from arrows.
Good list, shurikan is OP. If you do see my comment, thank you, and have a Great Knight. (See what I did there?)
Every class has a different stat spread through Class Growths and Skills though. Mounts don't make foot units obsolete, per se, but you can tell which is better in many ways.
I think the problem with wyverns/pegusi/cavs is that IS doesn't balance the fact that they have 2-3 more movement than foot classes. The characters themselves are just as powerful as any other kind of foot unit.
Ryan Keenan How I wish that were true. But that's it. They need to have more movement because they are mounted - they can get to places faster than your avarage foot soldier, from a realistic standpoint. Theey need the extra movement, or they are JUST more foot units. Then that defeats the purpose of classes. Balance? in FE? HA!!! You are hilarious. Unbalance is important in fire emblem. Balancing everything so that every thing feels more fair is taking away something that makes FE special. Your army is not supposed to be a troop of OP Super soldiers. Some are normal people. However, fates has crushed that classic mentality into the dust with the 20 retainers and royal characters. Wait. How many character background diversity does that leave us with? Far fewer to than there could be. I'm just ranting now. Goodbye.
My top:
10.Blacksmith
09.Falcon Knight
08.Kinshi Knight
07.Mechanist
06.Malig Knight
05.Wyvern Lord
04.Merchant
03.Oni Chieftain
02.Adventurer
01.Master Ninja
I forgot Maids,it gets the number 1 lol
Mudkip Southerncross I'm going to have to point out that wyvern lords and falcon knights have been around for a while.
I have two questions about this video, if you would answer them.
1. Why did you not consider Corrin's unique class?
2. How exactly is the Dark Knight gimmicky in Awakening?
corrin doesn't count because his class is a lord class making it exclusive to only him and his children
+Ryu Hayabusa Even so, It's a significantly different class line compared to the previous ones.
I did included corrin's class because his class is exclusive to him and kana rather than multiple units and enemies, also I found dark knight gimmicky in awakening because from my experience none of them could make use of sword because of their piss poor strengths stats, unlike Leo who could work both ways.
Aah that does make sense for that class being gimmicky
Yeeeee so cool!
that end..... xD oh boy that dual video will be good.
Hopefully.... waait.... It's that cringey guy. I don't like him. For some reason. Maybe he's played the otheer games? HAHAHA! I need to stop making myself laugh.
LewdGravy TheShitPoster
He still a fan lol. You dont need to play the older one to call yourself a fan .
:(
Berukai I know. I'm a fucking dickweed, and 70% of what I say should never be taken seriously. I'll still look forward to it, though. I'm just one person in the sea of unwanted haters and idiots plaguing our planet.
LewdGravy TheShitPoster
Hey no harm done ;)
20:31 I know right? I love Nichol as well!
so did ya get a level up yet for ur new class
I have, but I haven't reached level 5 just yet, so no new skill atm :P
You'll get there I have a Paragon skill book if it will help
I reclassed reinkah to a Oni chiefton but she got way worse in my birthright run I think k I probably reclassed her to early I don't remember what level she was
You kept saying how each class wasnt perfect. Is there a class in the series that is? I honestly want your opinion BLAZINGKNIGHT
No class in fire emblem is perfect, but I feel the closest class to perfect (aside form things like lords and tacticians) are the hero class.
Oni chieftan aren't Hoshidan berserkers; they're Hoshidan WARRIORS and are set up as like warriors with magic stats as well
Question, does Felicia, come come to brthright or conquest.
Marcelthebeast McDaniels Both.
Both, it depends on which gender Corrin you are, in this case you have to be Male Corrin
BLAZINGKNIGHT I see.
I'm kinda sad you didn't tell us your favorite character of each class like in your other FE class videos but I guess the choices were pretty obvious.
With the master ninja being consider the second best class in fates on the harder difficulties, I'm not surprise it is your favorite class (No disrespect intended). Still It is my favorite class too !
The Kitsune class is pretty cool. High res, dodgy and an anti beast unit? Yes please!
