  • In "Toilet Humor", Taryl shows you how to replace an Ariens snowblower drive disc. They use the same setup for other models of snowblowers as well. Prior to the fix, Taryl has a toilet installed in the shop, only, it's not in the bathroom but in the SHOWROOM! Check out the full video front to back for the full story. Taryl, thanks for what you do! I found your small engine repair videos while searching for info on how to fix one of my jobs. I was diagnosing my in laws 2011 craftsman GT 6000 with the kohler courage 26 hp that would start then immediately stall. The ignition switch was faulty. Even though you had no videos on my problem, i still watched them for two days and many hours because they were so informative. I will be far more prepared for the next fix thanks to you!

    Hi Taryl, do you know where I could get an old Briggs small flo-jet carburetor with the 4 screws on top for my 1946 Model A Briggs?

  • @KNKLHEAD
    @KNKLHEAD 2 года назад

    Taryl. Your video made me RETURN a $1600 replacement for my Ariens 5524. The old Ariens gear box "fell apart" and I thought there was no hope. The linkage was loose, it appeared to be missing parts, and there were two washers floating around in there, with a big hole where drive shaft stuck out the side, etc. To a lay KNKLHEAD like me, how the heck can that thing go back together? There's no bolts for the washers, how does the fork move the ring, what holds the fork pin end in? So I bought a shiny new Toro. I saw your AWESOME video and my friend said, "you're not such a KNKLHEAD! You can fix stuff! I cannot believe how easy this goes back together, and what a strange way that washers are what hold the fork on the shifter ring. The new bushing, holds/keeps tension on the shift control pin back into the little hole and the washers hold the fork -- all very dependent on the bushing keeping the shaft where all the gizmos stay in place. I promptly took the 24 back out into a snow bank to test 'er out and promised a snow picnic date with it soon. It is so, so much easier to move around that 24 than the 300lb monster I bought, so I returned that for the cash. Don't tell my wife about the picnic date OR the $1600. Stay handsome.

    Great video!! My 932041-ST7524E looks just like the inside of yours. I want to replace the friction disk. However the shaft is seized/rusted to the bearing. On the left side..... by the small pinion gear. I can remove the left exterior bearing cap and the right bearing cap.... but I cant get the shaft out of the left bearing so that I can slide the shaft all the way to the right. Suggestions? Can I apply heat to the bearing? Will this ruin the bearing and require replacement? Thanks Bill

    • @mikesenginesandadventures

    • @TarylFixesAll

      Undertaker Fire yes, all small engine manufacturers prefer that you use synthetic. Depending on how old and how many hours the engine has it might increase oil consumption. Be sure to check the oil often. And there's yur dinner!!

    referencing a few vids. ordered parts-waiting. took things apart. I have a bushing on one side and seemed to have lost the Other bushing? on the "gear" side. Not sure where it dropped or went? diagram shows a Flanged Bushing? so a regular bushing or a flanged bushing? little confused. guessing it's a simple thing I'm missing
