Very informative. I just received my first shot yesterday, my arm was very sore and painful. Later in the day, I developed severe headache and body aches similar to flu symptoms. Hopefully, these symptoms will subside soon.

I currently have shingles (on my fanny); The pain was so bad that my husband took me to an ER. Oddly, the shingles themselves are not causing that much pain. My symptoms: Fever (100 - 102), severe pain and BURNING throughout my body, constant/massive headache. Pain is so bad in my back that I can't bend over. Dr prescribed Acyclovir. I'm a very spy 68-yr-old and I can honestly say I haven't suffered pain in my adult life as bad as the shingles. My heart goes out to anyone who has or is suffering from shingles!

33 years old and got Shingles from the mid back and wrapping around the Left side, breast, to the middle of my chest. The pain is excruciating. I have no underlying health issues. From what I’m seeing, age is just a number. This needs to be addressed to the medical insurance industry that the age limit needs to be changed if they even give a care. I am at day 12 and it's worst then first week. I was luchy to see my pharmacist who obe day 1 gave me the blue pills. Here in Quebec we have to see a doctor who will confirmed diagnotic. She increased to 10 days as this extend from spine to exactly belley on a 5-6" zone. First week, I was very tired and I put cold white facecloth all over the area for 30 inutes oftenly. Shingles is intense! 39 y/o and just hit with it. Sunday woke up with my left side of my neck, back, and arm extremely sore and tight. Followed by numbness and tingling later the same day. wow that would suck. i am around the same age as you and my shingles was misdiagnosed as a fungal infection. i have 4 "patches" of rash on my right arm, the largest patch is about 1 inch. they do not itch, do not hurt. i felt a little throbbing pain (like 1 of 10 on the pain scale) for just one day and the rashes resolved in 2 weeks. perhaps i got my antiviral early. i feel incredibly lucky after reading your story.
When you say "72 hours within the onset of symptoms", do you mean 72 hours from the moment the rash physically appears? With shingles, mild symptoms present themselves up to 5 days before the rashes actually appear, e.g. mild irritation and numbness, which pretty much no one would call up their doc to examine.
@@raysmusic49 interesting, had the shingles about 2 months ago, then doctor put me in a treatment with Famciclovir 250mg twice a day for 3 months, unfortunately I'm in the second month and I got the shingles again, this is my 12 time having shingles, an is all because stress levels , The difference compare with all the others time is I don't have any pain, just the rush numbness so far, I was hopping to get better soon, so I can have the vaccine.

@@shanamamabear1226 the only thing that helps is prescription lidocaine… I’ve had it exactly 2 years.. pains not as intense but there… now and then the area where it started flares up.. ice packs helps… Vicadin is nice but my dr gave me 10 tablets last year…
Im 26 and got shingles for a weeks and a half now (2021) but luckily my doctor gave me an antiviral drug as soon as she saw what been going on with me. at first i thought its just an upset stomach and a very bad back pain coz my body really hurt bad. but when she checked and told me i had a rash, she immediately told me that i also need to take vitamins such as vitamin B complex to lessen the nerve damage. good thing is that now most of the pain is gone and now im in recovery and it didnt took me a month to get rid of the pain.. also, i didnt know if it helped in my recovery, but i used a sulfur soap and an sulfur with salycilic acid ointment. and it also lessened the pain and itching a bit. being clean on your body also helps and taking a cold bath twice a day.

My doctor miss diagnosed my shingles rash for bed bug bites and I didn't get treatment for a week later, when I went to a mentally competent doctor at the emergency room. Although the receptionist diagnosed me with shingles when she seen the rash. Over 65-year-old man sees a doctor with a painful rash you would think the doctor would know that it was shingles. I didn't know but the doctor should know more than me. I'm pissed that I didn't get diagnosed earlier. Now I may have permanent nerve damage. Im 32 years old and I’ve had shingles for 3 weeks now. At first my knee hurted, then my thighs and hip now. I’ve waited 2 weeks before going to doctor 🧑⚕️. Hope she gets better and builds her immune system. Have you considered of giving her a vaccine? it can still work even after the fact that she's had shingles. Consult with your GP and all the best.
Most the time they won't recommend it for children. (Speaking from experience) So, best consult your daughter's doctor before going for it. Recommend having moisturizing lotion for when the weather is hot. Try to be gentle with the infected area (when inactive) and keep her away from other people with threats of chickenpox or the vaccine in either for 72 hours cause it can reawaken Shingles.
I have just found out, where your rash is painful, massage the exact opposite side of your body, the pain will go. It only takes 2 mins. Please pass this information on when ever you can.
I am 46 too. I had shingles 2 weeks ago. I took the antiviral blue tablets for 7 days, it made a big difference. I still have this discomfort and pain in my left upper leg area that hurts like hell when I try to walk in my natural pace. I got to see my doctor tomorrow, hopefully can give me a pain reliever to go back to normal while I'm dealing with shingles. And I'll ask him when is the right time to get the vaccine.

I haven't been diagnosed but 99% sure I have it on my back, not as painful as others seem to have it though, and no fever. I'm 36. Was told it should go after 6 weeks.
@@iamthat7351 I would get it checked out ASAP. if they catch it within 72 hours, your doctor can prescribe anti-viral treatment to try to reverse the symptoms. I think mine didn’t catch it in time, but still taking the medication
Shingles at 37 while battling the worst case of endometriosis disease that has been misdiagnosed for years and doctors have completely just looked at me like I've had 3 heads anytime I've tried to tell them what's been going on. Gynecologist, primary Care, you name it. I feel like I've been failed and abandoned by what's supposed to be medical professionalsand. After all the blood test I've done, all the pelvic transvaginal ultrasounds, pelvic scans and everything else you want to throw out there don't forget the UA's I just finally found out I have hypothyroidism which I already knew I had because I've always been a tiny girl and I put on so much weight in the last few months and it's just been an ongoing battle with my weight and I don't eat bad I'm very physical. I feel like I'm never going to get the help I need. I've been waiting on my doctor to reach back out to me just so I can get on my thyroid medication because I'm awaiting a surgery date for my very much needed hysterectomy. So with all the stress that my body has been under and every single month I lay in bed because of the endometriosis that takes me out of work takes my life away from me with heating pads on the front heating pads on the back doing everything I can possibly do to try and find some sort of comfort to get through the most horrible menstrual cycle a woman should never have to experience, it's no wonder I have shingles right now. My body's immune system has been trying to fight so many other things all at once and it has stressed out to the max and from what I'm reading I'm getting so much mixed communication about what I can eat what I can't eat what's going to cause the shingles to get worse one minute I read something that says the doctor's approved you to eat this and then I read another thing that says scientifically they found out the doctors were incorrect about that so my list of things I can eat is down to a minimum I'm literally dropping weight faster than someone that's anorexic. Nobody should ever have to go through all of this and nobody should ever have to go through as many years as it's taken me to get to where I'm at at 37 years old when I've been complaining about this now for over a decade. I get it take some times a lot of the wrong answers of trial and error to get to the right ones but the answer has been there the entire time they just wouldn't listen period no I'm not the one with the medical degree but I am the one that does listen to my body and I know my body and I know what I normally able to do and what I'm not. At 37 years old I should not be like a hermit in my room 9 to 17 days out of every single month dealing with what I'm dealing with because of this endometriosis. oh unless not forget the thyroid that I've been getting tested for for I don't even know how long now and I knew there was something wrong with my thyroid . Example in September recently I had blood work done for my thyroid by my primary care doctor period my primary care doctor said that my thyroid was borderline but not enough to be on medication. Fast forward a month and a half later at my gynecologist appointment trying to get my hysterectomy scheduled and my thyroid is over highly elevated and I need thyroid medication. I'm just so beside myself it's no wonder I'm suffering through this right now and it's very depressing and I'm breaking down as I try to say this right now because it is emotionally draining and stressful and it's probably not the best thing that I'm stressing out or crying about this now but I have shingles on my face all the way down the left side covering my entire left side of my scalp which is where it started. I thought it was just dandruff it first and it started out as the front of the left side of my forehead just feeling tender and then my left eyebrow started to swell but was no change of color to my skin yet then my eyeball started to hurt just the whole eyeball, within a matter of 2 days after having my 15-year-old look at the top of my head for me I ended up with it all over the side of my face and I literally ended up in the hospital having to get Acyclovir & steroids & everything else you can think of oh let's not forget the die in the eye and the ultraviolet light because then they found them in my left eyeball period but I went to a specialist that day and he says that they're not in my eyeball but I feel them there. now I feel like I'm going to have to go back to the ER and subject myself of being around covid people while my immune system is at its lowest hoping I don't lose my eyesight or my hearing because of this. What did the pain feel like? I was diagnosed with shingles 4 days ago and I feel really bad, head pounding whenever I bend over, chest and back hurts when I cough.
Just got back from the doctor. I'm 46 and just diagnosed with shingles. 😩 Doctor told me it was probably related to stress. My grandmother passed away about 2 weeks ago, definitely stress related to all our recent travel with our kid's travel lacrosse during tournament season for the last 8 weeks and stress of Thanksgiving at in-laws.

A client I had (who passed a decade ago), broke out w shingles on his eye. The primary was concerned w a secondary infection due to rubbing and prescribed eye drops. The rash cleared in about three weeks-but the pain raged on for about a year. The man had osteoarthritis but was not on steroids. He did have other underlying disease conditions, such as DMII. I think he was subsequently prescribed Neurontin. The horrible thing was it always seemed to 'attack' at bedtime-this would interfere w rest and cause a domino effect on the other conditions. It was miserable! The commercial is calling it, "Shingles doesn't care!" I started my vacs.
I’m 20 and had chicken pox during 8th grade and my rash now just started to bubble up on my shoulder blade area. I had a stabbing pain that felt like a inflamed pimple. But I feel fine just a little pain on the shoulder blade. Not tired or anything which with Chicken Pox I was. Definitely scared and getting this checked out.
11 years I had the shingles on my left bun the result was I lost the feeling in my whole left leg from the toes to the top of my butt so like 7 days ago I got the most worst pain in my leg my left leg I realized that I got feeling in that leg. Good advice! To go to a good walk in clinic asap. Any good Doc. Would fit you in. A good Doctor will give meds for pain and lidocane patches. Also sold in drug stores. Ask the pharm.

Did you get the chicken pox vaccine? You can still get shingles if you had the vaccine but no chicken pox. Also, the outbreaks can happen because of severe chronic stress or a huge life changing event. Stress can lower immune system which is the gate way to waking up shingles.
Briana, I'm just curious: When you say you never had chicken pox was this confirmed by doing a Titer test? I was always under the impression that we can't get shingles w/o first having chicken pox?

When I was a kid in the 1950s I had chicken pox, not too bad. In my 60s I got a case of shingles on left face & neck. Doc said if it gets into your eye, get to the ER asap, as it can cause blindness if it goes into the eyeball. It did not, and a couple years later they came out with the vaccine so I took that also. Now it's almost 11 yrs later, I'm 77 and for 3 days have been having those awful "scalp spasms" & pains that foreshadowed the first shingles out-break. I don't know if it's shingles now or a bad ear infection or yadda, yadda...I do recall hearing that there were two varieties of shingles, or two vacines, or something like that. I durn sure don't need this! Wish I'd paid more attention then.

as stated to the other videos, you can get shingles through physical stress. I think I got mine after I wear waist trainers which compresses my belly. Does is consider as physical stress?
yeahhh now I recovered. you really need to see a doctor to take antiviral. It is costly but it reduces the lifespan of the virus. I am still looking for medicine the scars it left.
I had a CT scan done on a Saturday, Sunday was my 62nd B-day, and I was experiencing a bad headache in my right ear! Unfortunately, I stayed home from dinner reservations. I have Shingles! Sunday, November 6th a week later, I went to a walk-in clinic that was open to ask about the sharp pains in my head that were intermittent and annoying. The dr who saw me tore into me she was very upset with me and the care I was given! It was too long before I received the medication WHY did I not go to an ophthalmologist for my eye? I could have gone BLIND! The Dr gave me pregabalin 25 mg to take 1 cap twice a day for the headache. Monday I called my family Doctor, which I was seen immediately! She increased the dose for my headache and she referred me to an ophthalmologist. Fortunately, my eye is fine, however, my headache and my itchy scalp will never go away! In 6 months I will receive the Shingle vaccine but can and may get Shingles again! When my mother was pregnant with me she got chicken pox. When I was a small child I only got one huge chicken pox. So still the virus laid dormant in me until my 62nd birthday to raise its narly head! I have nerve damage now, that is why I have sharp pains in my head. I am able to function but the itchy scalp and headache are very annoying on a daily basis!

Seek out Prolozone therapy. Not many doctors perform this so keep due diligence searching and you may have to travel to get treatment. Plenty of videos online of and about prolozone therapy. I got exactly the Shingles that you had days ago, but it’s on the right side. My right eye hurts af right now. My jaws, face, started to hurt 3-4 says ago and the rashes appeared last night around 11pm.
@@Louclark54 believe it or not I still feel it at times, can be somewhat painful and itchy. I'm no longer in pain medication for it. When it bother me whixh is most days, i find putting polisporin cream on, a dose in the morning and another at bed time. I hope this is not going to continue the rest of my life. I have come down with it on my right side head face and eye. When the prickling sensation started in my scalp I thought it was a trigeminal neuralgia episode I was having and which I suffer with (bilateral). Very informative. I just received my first shot yesterday, my arm was very sore and painful. Later in the day, I developed severe headache and body aches similar to flu symptoms. Hopefully, these symptoms will subside soon.

I currently have shingles (on my fanny); The pain was so bad that my husband took me to an ER. Oddly, the shingles themselves are not causing that much pain. My symptoms: Fever (100 - 102), severe pain and BURNING throughout my body, constant/massive headache. Pain is so bad in my back that I can't bend over. Dr prescribed Acyclovir. I'm a very spy 68-yr-old and I can honestly say I haven't suffered pain in my adult life as bad as the shingles. My heart goes out to anyone who has or is suffering from shingles!

33 years old and got Shingles from the mid back and wrapping around the Left side, breast, to the middle of my chest. The pain is excruciating. I have no underlying health issues. From what I’m seeing, age is just a number. This needs to be addressed to the medical insurance industry that the age limit needs to be changed if they even give a care. Shingles is intense! 39 y/o and just hit with it. Sunday woke up with my left side of my neck, back, and arm extremely sore and tight. Followed by numbness and tingling later the same day. wow that would suck. i am around the same age as you and my shingles was misdiagnosed as a fungal infection. i have 4 "patches" of rash on my right arm, the largest patch is about 1 inch. they do not itch, do not hurt. i felt a little throbbing pain (like 1 of 10 on the pain scale) for just one day and the rashes resolved in 2 weeks. perhaps i got my antiviral early. i feel incredibly lucky after reading your story.
When you say "72 hours within the onset of symptoms", do you mean 72 hours from the moment the rash physically appears? With shingles, mild symptoms present themselves up to 5 days before the rashes actually appear, e.g. mild irritation and numbness, which pretty much no one would call up their doc to examine.
KashiwaDaisuke exactly right... I had the pain 5 days before the rash... I thought it was a bug bite.. got worse then I saw a Dr.
@@raysmusic49 interesting, had the shingles about 2 months ago, then doctor put me in a treatment with Famciclovir 250mg twice a day for 3 months, unfortunately I'm in the second month and I got the shingles again, this is my 12 time having shingles, an is all because stress levels , The difference compare with all the others time is I don't have any pain, just the rush numbness so far, I was hopping to get better soon, so I can have the vaccine.

Vicadin is nice but my dr gave me 10 tablets last year…

Im 26 and got shingles for a weeks and a half now (2021) but luckily my doctor gave me an antiviral drug as soon as she saw what been going on with me. at first i thought its just an upset stomach and a very bad back pain coz my body really hurt bad. but when she checked and told me i had a rash, she immediately told me that i also need to take vitamins such as vitamin B complex to lessen the nerve damage. good thing is that now most of the pain is gone and now im in recovery and it didnt took me a month to get rid of the pain..
also, i didnt know if it helped in my recovery, but i used a sulfur soap and an sulfur with salycilic acid ointment. and it also lessened the pain and itching a bit. being clean on your body also helps and taking a cold bath twice a day.

My doctor miss diagnosed my shingles rash for bed bug bites and I didn't get treatment for a week later, when I went to a mentally competent doctor at the emergency room. Although the receptionist diagnosed me with shingles when she seen the rash. Over 65-year-old man sees a doctor with a painful rash you would think the doctor would know that it was shingles. Hope she gets better and builds her immune system. Have you considered of giving her a vaccine? it can still work even after the fact that she's had shingles. Consult with your GP and all the best.
Most the time they won't recommend it for children. (Speaking from experience) So, best consult your daughter's doctor before going for it. Recommend having moisturizing lotion for when the weather is hot. Try to be gentle with the infected area (when inactive) and keep her away from other people with threats of chickenpox or the vaccine in either for 72 hours cause it can reawaken Shingles.

I am 46 too. I had shingles 2 weeks ago. I took the antiviral blue tablets for 7 days, it made a big difference. I still have this discomfort and pain in my left upper leg area that hurts like hell when I try to walk in my natural pace. Shingles at 37 while battling the worst case of endometriosis disease that has been misdiagnosed for years and doctors have completely just looked at me like I've had 3 heads anytime I've tried to tell them what's been going on. Gynecologist, primary Care, you name it. I feel like I've been failed and abandoned by what's supposed to be medical professionalsand. After all the blood test I've done, all the pelvic transvaginal ultrasounds, pelvic scans and everything else you want to throw out there don't forget the UA's I just finally found out I have hypothyroidism which I already knew I had because I've always been a tiny girl and I put on so much weight in the last few months and it's just been an ongoing battle with my weight and I don't eat bad I'm very physical. I feel like I'm never going to get the help I need. I've been waiting on my doctor to reach back out to me just so I can get on my thyroid medication because I'm awaiting a surgery date for my very much needed hysterectomy. So with all the stress that my body has been under and every single month I lay in bed because of the endometriosis that takes me out of work takes my life away from me with heating pads on the front heating pads on the back doing everything I can possibly do to try and find some sort of comfort to get through the most horrible menstrual cycle a woman should never have to experience, it's no wonder I have shingles right now. My body's immune system has been trying to fight so many other things all at once and it has stressed out to the max and from what I'm reading I'm getting so much mixed communication about what I can eat what I can't eat what's going to cause the shingles to get worse one minute I read something that says the doctor's approved you to eat this and then I read another thing that says scientifically they found out the doctors were incorrect about that so my list of things I can eat is down to a minimum I'm literally dropping weight faster than someone that's anorexic. Nobody should ever have to go through all of this and nobody should ever have to go through as many years as it's taken me to get to where I'm at at 37 years old when I've been complaining about this now for over a decade. I get it take some times a lot of the wrong answers of trial and error to get to the right ones but the answer has been there the entire time they just wouldn't listen period no I'm not the one with the medical degree but I am the one that does listen to my body and I know my body and I know what I normally able to do and what I'm not. At 37 years old I should not be like a hermit in my room 9 to 17 days out of every single month dealing with what I'm dealing with because of this endometriosis. oh unless not forget the thyroid that I've been getting tested for for I don't even know how long now and I knew there was something wrong with my thyroid . Example in September recently I had blood work done for my thyroid by my primary care doctor period my primary care doctor said that my thyroid was borderline but not enough to be on medication. Fast forward a month and a half later at my gynecologist appointment trying to get my hysterectomy scheduled and my thyroid is over highly elevated and I need thyroid medication. I'm just so beside myself it's no wonder I'm suffering through this right now and it's very depressing and I'm breaking down as I try to say this right now because it is emotionally draining and stressful and it's probably not the best thing that I'm stressing out or crying about this now but I have shingles on my face all the way down the left side covering my entire left side of my scalp which is where it started. I thought it was just dandruff it first and it started out as the front of the left side of my forehead just feeling tender and then my left eyebrow started to swell but was no change of color to my skin yet then my eyeball started to hurt just the whole eyeball, within a matter of 2 days after having my 15-year-old look at the top of my head for me I ended up with it all over the side of my face and I literally ended up in the hospital having to get Acyclovir & steroids & everything else you can think of oh let's not forget the die in the eye and the ultraviolet light because then they found them in my left eyeball period but I went to a specialist that day and he says that they're not in my eyeball but I feel them there. now I feel like I'm going to have to go back to the ER and subject myself of being around covid people while my immune system is at its lowest hoping I don't lose my eyesight or my hearing because of this. A client I had (who passed a decade ago), broke out w shingles on his eye. The primary was concerned w a secondary infection due to rubbing and prescribed eye drops.
The rash cleared in about three weeks-but the pain raged on for about a year. The man had osteoarthritis but was not on steroids. He did have other underlying disease conditions, such as DMII.
I think he was subsequently prescribed Neurontin.
The horrible thing was it always seemed to 'attack' at bedtime-this would interfere w rest and cause a domino effect on the other conditions.

Did you get the chicken pox vaccine? You can still get shingles if you had the vaccine but no chicken pox. Also, the outbreaks can happen because of severe chronic stress or a huge life changing event. Stress can lower immune system which is the gate way to waking up shingles.

I told the little Asian lady I think it's shingles...her back and neck got straight and she walked out of the room. She came back in the room sheepishly and said I was right. When I was a kid in the 1950s I had chicken pox, not too bad. In my 60s I got a case of shingles on left face & neck. Doc said if it gets into your eye, get to the ER asap, as it can cause blindness if it goes into the eyeball. It did not, and a couple years later they came out with the vaccine so I took that also. Now it's almost 11 yrs later, I'm 77 and for 3 days have been having those awful "scalp spasms" & pains that foreshadowed the first shingles out-break. I don't know if it's shingles now or a bad ear infection or yadda, yadda...I do recall hearing that there were two varieties of shingles, or two vacines, or something like that. I durn sure don't need this! Wish I'd paid more attention then.

yeahhh now I recovered. you really need to see a doctor to take antiviral. It is costly but it reduces the lifespan of the virus. I am still looking for medicine the scars it left.

I had a CT scan done on a Saturday, Sunday was my 62nd B-day, and I was experiencing a bad headache in my right ear! Unfortunately, I stayed home from dinner reservations. Tuesday my right eyelid felt irritated, and by Thursday I felt something bumpy when I brushed my hair so I went to the walk-in clinic on Friday morning! I felt like I was having an allergic reaction to something... The Dr. said I had a stye so she gave me 50mg of prednisone and ordered blood work to stay on the side of caution. She asked me to return Monday for the result. Monday the Doctor who saw me said that my blood work was all good except for inflammation showing in one of the markers which he immediately wrote a prescription for valacyclovir 2 tabs 3 times a day for 7 days... I have Shingles! Sunday, November 6th a week later, I went to a walk-in clinic that was open to ask about the sharp pains in my head that were intermittent and annoying. The dr who saw me tore into me she was very upset with me and the care I was given! It was too long before I received the medication WHY did I not go to an ophthalmologist for my eye? I could have gone BLIND! The Dr gave me pregabalin 25 mg to take 1 cap twice a day for the headache. Monday I called my family Doctor, which I was seen immediately! She increased the dose for my headache and she referred me to an ophthalmologist. Fortunately, my eye is fine, however, my headache and my itchy scalp will never go away! In 6 months I will receive the Shingle vaccine but can and may get Shingles again! When my mother was pregnant with me she got chicken pox. When I was a small child I only got one huge chicken pox. So still the virus laid dormant in me until my 62nd birthday to raise its narly head! I have nerve damage now, that is why I have sharp pains in my head. I am able to function but the itchy scalp and headache are very annoying on a daily basis!

I was diagnosed yesterday aug 1 2019 with Shingles l, On my upper left side of face, around the eye, the brow, lid and left side forehead.
Now its below the eye, eye is now swollen shut.

I got exactly the Shingles that you had days ago, but it’s on the right side. My right eye hurts af right now. My jaws, face, started to hurt 3-4 says ago and the rashes appeared last night around 11pm.

@@Louclark54 believe it or not I still feel it at times, can be somewhat painful and itchy. I'm no longer in pain medication for it.
When it bother me whixh is most days, i find putting polisporin cream on, a dose in the morning and another at bed time.
I hope this is not going to continue the rest of my life. The most irritated area is under my eyebrow.

I’m 36 and currently have a horrible case of shingles. I am immunocompromised and I was down with a bad cold, multiple Covid tests negative (and I had Covid in the summer and I’m vaccinated) so then shingles took advantage of my decreased immune function even more than I was already immunocompromised. I just had this. Stress can trigger this. Mine is at the back, right side. Good thing its not in my face. I took Zovirax for the virus, plus a topical Zovirax. I have come down with it on my right side head face and eye. When the prickling sensation started in my scalp I thought it was a trigeminal neuralgia episode I was having and which I suffer with (bilateral). But today I woke up with the rash on my scalp and it has quickly gone to my face and eye. The pain is extreme. @@sbwgaming4860 I believe diet can cause an onset of shingles. Chocolate, oatmeal, blueberries. I had oatmeal, lots of blueberries, and a chocolate cover ice cream bar everyday for a week, also had 5 chocolate ice cream bars in one day. Shingles.

Similar situation here. 54 male and pain in neck. Rash developed over next couple of days. Day after that i'm prescribed antivirals. 4 days...i hope the pills work in time because it feels very painful. Wife has gone to get some lotion as i type this.
How long did your infection last and are you free from pain now? (I'm scared i didn't catch it in time and you hear horror stories about the pain lasting years).
