I love the 39 mm front end on the Sportsters… it’s part of what these bikes are known for and are one of the best and most reliable front ends Harley has ever engineered.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I'm considering buying an 05 Roadster with a springer front end. I'm not sure of the manufacturer of the springer but I'm definitely gonna try to find it out. My questions are how does this one ride and handle compared to the stock front end? Does it feel just as stable and track just as it did before? I've always loved springer's but I've never ridden one.

No problem! So from stock to springer front end, the front end does tend to vibrate more than the shocks, since there is no dampening from the shocks now and it's only from the springs. But other than that, the springs truly compensate and help out for small and big bumps. So all in all, if you are still streeting your bike and you go springer front end, it's definitely worth it and it's not uncomfortable

Thanks for the reply. How does it feel at highway speeds, like 75 and up?
The one I'm looking at actually has a shock absorber on it. I'm curious if it helps with the vibrations too. I doubt if the owner would know the difference because it's the only one she's ridden.

@@cowgirlonchrome7416 No problem. It feels quite comfortable still at 75 mph and up. In all honesty, at higher speeds, it feels more comfortable than the stock shocks I had but it's probably because of the 6 inch over forks that I have. It's compensating for comfort but the springs are also comfortable at higher speeds. If there is a shock absorber with a springer front end, i'm sure that will feel even more comfortable than just a standard springer

Good video, I have just installed the Moto Iron 2" over spring on my 2007 sporty. I have the floating disc bracket and caliper installed, and I need to know how you installed the end links to your floating caliper and the fork leg. There are no instructions with the brake and I would appreciate your knowledge. Thanks!

I have a question… I have a 2008 1200xln and I’m looking for a parts list of everything I need to convert my front end to a springer. Could you possibly tell me what all I need?

I bought that handlebar adapter from a different company but it didn’t come with hardware. Any chance you remember what size & pitch the bolts were?

On your gas tank why wouldn't you want it back to its original spot,it would take care of tree hitting tank and your wiring would be hidden, great job it looks great
