The Springer is probably my favorite Harley. It's what I've been looking at more than any other model. I like the way the headlight looks when your riding. It's mounted up high and feels like something the reaper himself would ride!
Really old technology as far as suspension.. watched a buddy of mine bounce rite off of an exit ramp on a turn... lol..
But COOL....
I own a '99 FLSTS Heritage Springer. Bought it from the original owner with low miles. It's Diamond Ice, last year Evolution motor for the softails. Love it!
I've noticed the abrupt and premature endings in your videos often enough to be frustrated. You guys rock, but you need to figure this out.
You sound like a wife making a big deal out of picking out furniture just because you never get a chance to be that useful. Like "look at me look how extra I'm being see how hard I'm working at this I'm just like you with your big fancy job and stuff" that's you and later you end up spending too much on ugly Furniture because they didn't give you enough attention when you were asking what colors everything was available in and responding "I don't know" when they asked you what color you were looking for at the store that had what you actually wanted at decent prices, and after you overpay for ugly furniture that won't show up for months and feel like you did a bang-up job because you snubbed the people that didn't give you enough attention at the store that had what you wanted you won't get why everybody resents you just a little bit.....

Hi enjoy your videos thats the 1st year of the twin cam in the softails! 2nd year for dyna and touring modles. 99 softails were an evo with a 5 hole durby cover incase you didn't know

I can identify what you mean by resale value. A few years ago I bought new a 2006 Harley sportster "custom". It was chromed out very nicely right out of the box. I added a lot of add-ons and rode it for a few years. I relocated to the Midwest and bought a house that was on a dirt road. I didn't want to ride that bike on a muddy road so I decided to sell it and get a large dual sport motorcycle. Yes, I took a huge loss which I expected, and I sold it for a song and a dance.
This makes me wonder the on/off sound the engine makes. Or perhaps the rider finally took a spark plug cap off, in action, and found himself being electrocuted by the high voltage. I heard him convincing us he could do that on test-riding the CX500 Custom with Goldwing fairing.

I've always liked the springers. But that's just way too much chrome for me. Actually, I like very minimal chrome. I blacked out my 86 sportster before the night train was introduced. More chrome = more work

Progressive has a good updated parts policy they pay higher than what you paid for the upgrades there policy Automatically comes with $3000 but you can get up to I believe 50,000 maybe more

Hey I just wanted to let you know that I am a local that found your videos by watching other famous motovlogs. I didn't notice until I started seeing you driving where I work at I work over in Landisville and I am a Rider myself I ride a 2004 Yamaha R6. One day I want to jump into the motovlog community and start editing and try to become big. Hopefully one day I could ride with you

If you can find a cheap harley, go for it. Otherwise i say start off with a metric bike. Something cheap that youre not afraid to lay down. Cuz being a new rider, youre gonna crash. Trust me. Crashed on my third day riding, and it wasnt necessarily my fault
I'd buy it if I had 10k to spend. I love the Springer's.
If you ever find the money, I recommend it. It’s worth it if you get a nice low-mileage one.

Too bad that bike has all those mods. You explained it just how it is. You don't get paid for all the trinkets you bolt on. Those springers are worth a lot more stock. Truth is they aren't that great to ride, more of a "look at me" bike. Just my opinion that one is fugly.
Kevin N I rode a late friend of mines '91 Springer some years back and I thought it rode pretty good. Not as cushy as shocks but I was surprised at how well it rode with a spring front end. I think that the front mounted shock has a lot to do with that.
