    I just don't worry about it. My legs are always covered up and the only person who sees them is my partner and he doesn't care. I have swollen ankles due to arthritis which seems much worse, so cellulite for me is insignificant. I don't think any cream or such will have any effect apart from making the skin more hydrated/plumper, so I've never bought a specific cellulite product - I just use a lot of body lotion. Hope you enjoyed your holiday.

    I am a personal trainer and I have had cellulite on the backs and sides of my legs, and bum, for the majority of my life. I find mentally, it is something that I always feel I need to fix. That I'm not "fit enough" until all of it is gone. I see fitness influencers on Instagram and NONE of the ones I see have any cellulite visible. Editing? Maybe. I am trying to accept that fit women have cellulite too, it's that constant need to be "perfect". I am definitely working on my mindset.

    Fasting and cutting down on oestrogen heavy foods works really well. Coffee, dairy products and even some veg because of herbicides. Farmed seafood is really high in oestrogen, they actually feed salmom oestrogen pills! So that will give you uneven fat distribution. Also the oestrogenic fat that women have is very hard to shift, hence the fasting works well to get the body into autophagy where it eats that dense fat. So basically try intermittent fasting, eat wild and organic if you can. Also don't stress too much as that encourages fat to stick because in order to create cortisol(stress hormone) your body uses progesterone. Progesterone is the hormone we want to increase and the one that most women are low on, hence oestrogen dominance. OK that's what I've learned so far and I saw a difference! Good luck :)

Sometimes I read comments that accuse women for having cellulite saying thay are lazy and not working out enough and you say they are normal secondary sexual characteristics . So girls shouldn't hate themselves or have low self esteem because of their cellulite. Be healthy , be happy.

    I have to say as a fitness coach who helps women do strength training, and build confidence for the past 21 years I will agree with your take on this 💯 spot on. Working out and bing specific with the types of exercises to build muscle tone in the areas more prone to cellulite is key. Lifestyle choices are key. Good share ! In addition I also help women lose weight and body fat and ofcourse there are some issues with lose skin and that’s why I always advise to lose weight gradually and continue the strength training while you lose body fat and weight. Again good share! 👍

      @peaceoglory 8 лет назад +4

      I'm not a doctor but being 28 and having stretch marks since 12, I think I can answer a lot about them.
      Firstly: yes, you are going to have them forever. They will go from red to white but they will never disappear and anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to sell you something.
      Secondly: they are not there because you are fat or anything but because your skin is thinner and less elastic than the people who don't have them. It's just your genetics. Some people say it has to do with some deficiency, zink or magnesium, I can't remember (google it), but I can't make any claims to that.
      Thirdly: what can you do about it? as I said, you can not get rid of them, but you can exercise to tighten your skin a bit, you can improve your health - look into what nutrients/vitamins/minerals are responsible for skin health and elasticity, you can moisturize (anything from a basic drugstore body lotion to a blend of natural oils specifically designed for skin tightening or scar fading, because stretch marks are scars) and you can make peace with them and relax because it's not your fault and it's out of your hands.

    Cellulite is something I've struggled with a lot. I'm only 105lbs but I have an embarrassingly large amount of cellulite. I had Cellulaze done last year ($5000 for both legs), and it's reduced by about 30%. I do wish it were more, but I'm thinking of saving up and going for it again to get the rest done. Would it be possible for you to tell us what you're wearing, eyes , lips the face? please , please and please again . The reason being is that I was a similar colouring to you ( before you're recent change) but as I'm getting older, and it's not going to stop! I'm not a doctor/dermatologist but I can try to help? (also take a look at Caroline Hirons blog it will be helpful). Start with a non-irritating cleanser (Cerave - cheap; Neutrogena - Med; Kate Sommerville or Tata Harper - expensive), then exfoliate with an AHA acid (Pixi and First aid beauty - medium priced; Biologique Recharge p50 - expensive) (this is really key) and throw some BHA acid in there once in a while (Salicylic, Paulas' choice has a good one) instead of the AHA. If you are feeling more breakout prone or oily, then use more of BHA. Then at night use a retinol (or a retinoid) - start with something light (The Ordinary 2% retinoid - cheap; Luna by Sunday Riley - expensive) and see if that helps. If it does not help get a prescription instead. Do not put anything else on after a retinol except a moisturiser. In the morning, cleanse, acid tone, regular tone (any basic toner without AHA or BHA acids and with hydrating agents/hyaluronic acid). Then treat (benzoyl peroxide on the areas where you have acne). Then hydrate (because the benzoyl peroxide is very drying) with a good moisturiser (Cerave-cheap; Pixi- medium; Obagi, Kate Sommerville - expensive. Stay away from mineral oils, shea butter, etc in your moisturisers if you are acne prone. Then make sure you put on sunscreen because of the retinol. Don't use vitamin c serum yet if it's not necessary - quite a lot tend to break people out. If the other steps outlined above fix your skin then add the vitamin c serum in :) Hope this is helpful, but once again I have no medical authority and just outlined what most good dermatologists and aestheticians say.
