  • Today we mount the mudflaps, take care of some little details, modify the motor in order to get the extra power it needs and go for a proper test drive.

On the pinch, you can repair those rad hose bursts with a screw. I always keep a handful of assorted size screws in the glove box for such occasions in my older cars.

Hydraulic motor mounts and a thick rubber transmission mount will help with load frequency vibrations, even with those i still can get some vibrations at 1700-2000 in some gears with lots of load

Hey Brother! I haven an ALH TDI and A 3.9l Cummins, and I'm not sure which I want to put in my Disco 2. What kind of fuel mileage and power are you getting with the TDI? Not sure which one would be an appropriate size.

I was doing 8.5 L/100k highway and 10.5 average, and it was tuned for 170hp and 270 ish torque to crank. I think it’s a great motor but would go with a manual trans next time. the 3.9 is pretty good too but still requires tuning to get decent power

It cuts out because your brake pedal switches arent wired up correctly, for the engine ecu i mean. Ecu cant understand what you are doing with the pedals, it sees that you are pressing the brake and accelerator simultaneously.
