  • This video sumerizes a part of the work that went into making this Range Rover driveable over the course of the last year. This project has been a great learning experience for me and also triggered the project car addiction.

    Absolutely loved watching this old Rangey come back to life. The final scenes on the sand dunes looked like an old 70s TV advert for Range Rover . Brilliant !

    Really enjoyed watching that. I found the choice of VW diesel a bit unusual as I kinda expected a 200 or 300TDi to go in.....but well done on getting it all together. Hope it gives you years of enjoyment!

    Making your own engine/trans adapter plate is next level fabrication skills. I would love to a conversation like this when the 3.2 in my Isuzu trooper finally gives up, 180,000 miles and counting.

    Hi Ludwig. Amazing job on this car. I would like to ask you how are your impressions months after it was done. I have a RR Classic with a VM 2.5 engine which is running really well now, but I'm afraid one day will not, and parts are difficult to get for this engines. 1.9 tdi is easy to get and cheap here in Europe, and one of the most reliable engines ever made... but it looks like an small engine for a big car, but maybe is just a feeling. Other than the overall result, what about the consumption? TIA.

    What are they thinking about when they are putting this small Diesel engine in this heavy car,it’s a way too small.

  • @alanak3210
    @alanak3210 2 года назад +1

    Good job but I would have thought that dinky "car" diesel engine would not have much grunt in the Rangey - LR 300 tdi maybe more suitable and more horses ?

    • @ludwigseeley6359
      @ludwigseeley6359  2 года назад

      the 300 tdi has around 120 ft/lbs of torque and same ish hp, the ALH tdi in this truck is around 270 ft/lbs of torque and 150 hp (not the stock turbo however)
