The video of the first single of the rock supergroup's new LP, "Bag of Bones" (out in late April) was produced by one of the hottest producers, Kevin Shirley, who was in charge of the overall album production as well.

This to me is the best track of their last album, the album has the same (if not even better) quality as their first comeback album. John Norum is also simply on of the best guitar players I know love his style.
When I listen to this song and then go back and listen to the old school Europe it's awesome it just goes to show Europe still rocks after 30 years!

Looks like not many (of us) share your view... if there are bands refusing to exploit the 80s success, one of them is certainly Europe. One of the few Bands that still just have it . . . .Great Tune from a GREAT Band.
Melodic rock at its very best. Their concert at the Shepherds Bush Empire beat every concert I saw last year, including the mighty UFO. The concert featured a couple of songs that sounded like Led Zeppelin but better and Norum blew away most rock guitarists with his blistering solos. Outstanding!!!
I think Joey still has an awesome voice! If you're thinking that age degrades people's voices, have a listen to Glenn Hughes (he's worked with John Norum), The fella's 60 now but his voice hasn't degraded a bit from when he started!

I am a diehard Europe fan, "Days of rock n roll" and the last album, I cant stop playing over and over again. This is a good song for one time, no catchy refrains, I'm not gonna play it over and over again.

John Norum is simply amazing, love his style playing and also his sound, using a Gibson of course really helps with that :P. Same goes for e.g. Adam Jones (Tool). I also love e.g. "My America", and the energy comes a lot from the guitar parts...
This song is absolutely the best song of Europe ever. Even comparing The War of Kings. Final Countdown can finally rest in peace. That`s how classic`s born.

what ive heard so far i think sounds amazing - good to see them out there doing what they do and living in the now (unlike others who just keep churning out different versions of the same ole same old - or touring with wannabes who arent even close to being worthy) - its pleasing to hear how Europe have evolved and grown with their age into a respectable force to be reckoned with - im loving the swagger they have now, and John Norum is a god (and a Thin Lizzy nut so bonus points there)cheers \m/

Loved their work in the 80s. Tempest was my influence as a singer along with a few others. And I loved prisoners in paradise. Not a fan of their initial comeback with start from the dark or secret society. Last look at Eden had a few amazing tracks but this album is the best by since their comeback :) I hope they tour in the US again

I don't think they want to stop the old songs all together. They just knew back in the early 2000 that they can't do a serious comeback with doing something that sound too much like their 80's style. I like both sides of the band. It took some time to get used to the new Europe but now I really like it. Start from the Dark, Secret Society, Last Look At Eden and, probably, Bag of Bones are good albums !

Start from the Dark, Secret Society, Last Look at Eden and now Bag of Bones. Glad to see Europe continues even though many never seem to overlook "The Final Countdown", "Rock the Night" and "Carrie"... good songs for sure but give the present a chance as well!

This is what we in latin america called ...una sacada del clavo de pu..madre!!! A great slap with a white glove to the managers that didnt supported they first in sweden because they sing in english and then in 90s when the music industry
turned its back on them and left them stranded...even knowing they were really great musicians ,composer and singers!!

Can't wait to hear these guys live in December!! Saw them in February, when they filmed the gig, amazing evening!! Truly amazing performers, still as good as they ever were, better I'd say, better with time, but I have one reservation, Vevo, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, do NOT show me Florence and the Fucking Machine or whoever it was, skipped as soon as I could, before Europe, kinda dampens the mood for me!

There still might be a "market" for melodic rock but the guys in Europe wanted to go back to their roots and do some music THEY love to do and this is not sounding like anything "modern" that's out there today! This is pure 60-70's rock! Listen to Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Pink Floyd and UFO and more good old rock and you will hear! ^^ This is what THEY want to do and the guys in EUROPE love to do! :)
