Don't forget true vault hunter mode and ultimate vault hunter mode....and dlc.... and uvh packs....and op levels Also, dont forget to element match, red health bar = fire, blue = shock, yellow corrosive. More or less 2x damage, then add slag for essentially 2x more, and then stack percentage gains from skills and items. Like having an amp shield (the bee) and a gun ( the lady fist) the damage is added from the shield and then multiplied by 8 by the gun when you crit. I forget the exact sequence the damage calculation takes but because of the ordering it can stack Levels increase damage internally by like 1.13, enemies more than 3 levels above you take reduced damage
I dont get why Maya "gets done dirty" in BL3, but noone talks about Roland that way. I feel like it's all just the "We like Jack and therefore are legally obligated to hate the new villains" bias BL2 truthers have, or just the hateboner everyone seems to have for Ava. Maya died protecting the person she wanted to hand her powers to.
i didn't really think either about ava or maya, their story was decent though. but the calypso twins are in defensible. I played bl3 before I knew who handsome jack was and the calypso twins still made me want to throw my head through a wall
There is few factors but i think the biggest one is probably with this fact as the biggest lynchpin of hate : roland got an entire side mission of him being mourned that shows everybody missed him. and he always being mentioned even after death. Maya didnt have that much compared. as after ava grieving and the playable character of choosing comforts her, maya never got mentioned anymore in the story save for a missable dialogue from zer0 and it took the krieg dlc to finally putting maya death as a main mission plot. TLDR for this point: BL2 roland show how much he was missed as every character mention after his passing where as BL3 maya only have 3 characters mourning in comparison (excluding the playable character ofc)
@@raden1287 iirc literally every NPC will repeatedly point out, that they honor her sacrifice by moving forward with the mission. Ava brings her up repeatedly. It's kinda arbitrary to expect there to be a side-mission there. Whenever I see people complain, it is mostly just hate for Ava and/or how the Calypsos were not "good enough villains" to have the right to kill an NPC.
@@YTNFSCC I check some of the idle dialogues yes people did mention her alot but most of them are just the type that said you respect the person but never "know the person" with zer0 and ava being exception (and of course the player character after they killed troy) Which i guess for lot of people they wanted a bit more As for the hate on ava .while it never reach the heights as the other players, i also dislike ava mostly because after maya death her emotional growth just stopped. Another reason people hate her is also her lack of accountability in having a hand in maya's death and the fact she was rewarded wih not only maya's power and the ownership the sanctuary with the fact her development is essentially off-screen I would love that after she lashed out we see her emotional growth how to deal with her grieve while also growing up as her own siren (similar to hot rod development into rodimus prime) but sadly her development is mostly relegated to missable dialogue and the director's cut is still mostly minor development) (There was a deleted scene that actually gave a proper send off with everybody in the cast gave their final goodbyes, also ava slowy maturing and having a heart to heart with lilith after her outburst , planned or not its a good scene ) As the calypso twins i actually do think they are over-hated. as while im not expecting them being on par with jack, calling them the worst villain in fiction is a bit of an reaction as they are shittier villains from writing standpoint both from borderlands and fiction in general
I wish people just accepted the fact that, comedy Isn't supposed to be timeless. It's ever changing. Changing things years after the fact Is spineless pandering but also changing history

I have 5 figures of hours into this game alone and have moved on with my life years ago thank you 🙇 great play through
7:46 America in a nutshell
I love this series, there was a grenade in borderlands 3 that would crash anyone who was looking at the explosion. So much fun

I always loved Borderlands 2. The humor and story telling is top notch. Plus the gameplay is really fun.
watching this playthrough made me realize how close I actually was to finishing the game when I played it as a young teen...
my only solo playthrough ended at the final boss because I couldn't beat it, I was crazy underlevelled and couldn't be bothered to go do side quests
“Should i open it or should i keep it sealed” is so niche yet appreciated
Borderlands 2 isn't that old. It's like 5 years old, tops.
Right?
....
Right?
We old
Connor and Mouse legit spend more time on the floor then they did on their feet 🤣
Don't forget true vault hunter mode and ultimate vault hunter mode....and dlc.... and uvh packs....and op levels
Also, dont forget to element match, red health bar = fire, blue = shock, yellow corrosive. More or less 2x damage, then add slag for essentially 2x more, and then stack percentage gains from skills and items. Like having an amp shield (the bee) and a gun ( the lady fist) the damage is added from the shield and then multiplied by 8 by the gun when you crit. I forget the exact sequence the damage calculation takes but because of the ordering it can stack
Levels increase damage internally by like 1.13, enemies more than 3 levels above you take reduced damage
He doesn't know Where to farm or what gear to farm he ain't tvhm
I love this game and played it so much when I was a teen. I learned all the gun and shield parts so I knew how good the item was lol
There is few factors but i think the biggest one is probably with this fact as the biggest lynchpin of hate :
roland got an entire side mission of him being mourned that shows everybody missed him. and he always being mentioned even after death.
Maya didnt have that much compared. as after ava grieving and the playable character of choosing comforts her, maya never got mentioned anymore in the story save for a missable dialogue from zer0 and it took the krieg dlc to finally putting maya death as a main mission plot.
TLDR for this point: BL2 roland show how much he was missed as every character mention after his passing where as BL3 maya only have 3 characters mourning in comparison (excluding the playable character ofc)

iirc literally every NPC will repeatedly point out, that they honor her sacrifice by moving forward with the mission. Ava brings her up repeatedly. It's kinda arbitrary to expect there to be a side-mission there.
Whenever I see people complain, it is mostly just hate for Ava and/or how the Calypsos were not "good enough villains" to have the right to kill an NPC.
@@YTNFSCC
I check some of the idle dialogues yes people did mention her alot but most of them are just the type that said you respect the person but never "know the person" with zer0 and ava being exception (and of course the player character after they killed troy)
Which i guess for lot of people they wanted a bit more
As for the hate on ava .while it never reach the heights as the other players, i also dislike ava mostly because after maya death her emotional growth just stopped.
Another reason people hate her is also her lack of accountability in having a hand in maya's death and the fact she was rewarded wih not only maya's power and the ownership the sanctuary with the fact her development is essentially off-screen
I would love that after she lashed out we see her emotional growth how to deal with her grieve while also growing up as her own siren (similar to hot rod development into rodimus prime) but sadly her development is mostly relegated to missable dialogue and the director's cut is still mostly minor development)
(There was a deleted scene that actually gave a proper send off with everybody in the cast gave their final goodbyes, also ava slowy maturing and having a heart to heart with lilith after her outburst , planned or not its a good scene )
As the calypso twins i actually do think they are over-hated. as while im not expecting them being on par with jack, calling them the worst villain in fiction is a bit of an reaction as they are shittier villains from writing standpoint both from borderlands and fiction in general
Some of my best memories are playing this game with my brother and friend's Connor and mouse playing it is a pleasant surprise!
The irony that would be at play if they played Borderlands 3 would be amazing.
My favorite part of borderlands 2, is when the Loot Goon Goliath said "It's gooning time.", and gooned all over the place.
Back when games were not scared of insulting someone so they could make a good joke
Wonder if he realizes that this single video made me plus probably a lot more replay this game damn u Connor
thank you*
I wish people just accepted the fact that, comedy Isn't supposed to be timeless.
It's ever changing.
Changing things years after the fact Is spineless pandering but also changing history
My wife and I played a whole lot of this game back in the day. Got most of the secrets and did a bunch of the DLC stuff. Watching this just de-aged me like 10 years. Thank you. 😂
The real cringe is acting like you’re too cool for the writing in this game. People can’t enjoy campy fun anymore. Everything needs to be steeped in 100 layers of irony.
There is something so special to experiencing bl 2 for the first time your like what is this then play through the story and your hooked its weird also there nothing better than seeing someone experience bl for the first time as well lol
The comedy is just fine from 2012. People are just wimps.
Edit: My point has been proven.
it is fine, but people grew up and moved on from that sort of humor... well some of us did, and many stop with the attacks on others and punching down for jokes, again, not all. but dont worry, you might grow up one day. Doubt it though.
There’s supposed to be red target circles on the ground to let you know where they hit, but there’s some setting in the game that glitches them out for some reason 46:51
*Claims to love BL2*
Doesnt farm an Unkempt Harold or Fastball
me: "noob"
This is just about the same way I played Borderlands 2 for the first time. My friend loved Borderlands 2 when they were a teen and I'd never played it, so we did a full co-op playthrough together. It was a lot of fun! I played Krieg, and really enjoyed the desert pirate DLC.
