How are you able to hook up a wire feed to it and have it mig weld properly if I don't see a constant voltage switch? I'm literally in the market and it's come down to this machine and the Hobart champion elite 260 as I like the welding output plug that Hobart offers and a little more power on the generator side to plug in my AC/ DC tig welder
The Eagle 10,000 is a CC power source and not made to connect a wire feeder. You can stick weld with up to 225 amps, or you can use it to power an external Lincoln LE31MP, Easy Mig 140, or a Easy Mig 180. As an alternative, have you checked out Lincoln’s Ranger 225? It’s a CV/CV power source so you can also add a wire feeder such as Lincoln's LN-25 or Active8x series of wire feeders. These are wire feeders made to connect to the Ranger 225. The advantage of this is you will have the option of welding with the full output range of the Ranger (225 amps). Hope this helps. Please reply with any other questions. Thanks!
I will get get this one as a starter for me even tho i have been welding for years now but i wont say professional been learning since high and college besides my point this will help me for mig stick and flux core tig welding
Leo, thank you! From what we hear from other Eagle users, we know you will like it. Would you like to join us on Facebook and let other welders see your projects? You can find us here: facebook.com/LincolnElectricRetail/ Happy welding!
Hey Brad, great question. I'm assuming you are referring to the Range 225 because it's comparable to the Eagle. You can stick weld from a Ranger but because they are a CV/CV power source, you can also add a wire feeder, commonly referred to as a suitcase wire feeder. These are units that connect to and get power from an engine driven welder. For example, Lincoln's LN-25 or Active8x series of wire feeders. These sell for $2,400 - $3,000. The advantage of this is you will have the option of welding with the full output range of the Ranger (225 amps for the Ranger 225). The Eagle 10,000 is a CC power source and not made to connect a wire feeder. You can stick weld with up to 225 amps, or you can use it to power a welder for TIG, MIG, and flux-cored applications. If you go this route, the output welding range will depend upon the welder you are using. Around the farm, we think the Eagle 10,000 is good fit. Happy to answer any other question. And please let us know which machine you decided to go with. Thanks
@@LincolnElectricRetail thanks for the fast reply. I just need a stick welder and generator power. No need to add a mig box or tig options to it. Honestly probably going to go with a 250 gtx ranger when lowes or home depot offers their promotional financing around the holidays.
LincolnElectricRetail you guys really need to clear this issue up with the Eagle 10,000 and wire feeders. It says right on the Eagle 10,000 brochure that it can be used with LN series wire feeders. I called your tech support and they told me it couldn’t, I then had the gentleman pull up the brochure and he was stumped. He downloaded the instruction manual for the Eagle 10,000 and it clearly shows you on the manual how to hook up the wire feeder. What’s going on here?
Yes, the Rangers are available. But the Eagle is also an AC generator (9,000 watts) and is a 225 amp DC + - stick welder. Here's a link to the Eagle brochure pdf - lincolnelectricretail.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Eagle-10000-K2343-4-Brochure.pdf
Hey Monroes Welding Thanks for asking. The Eagle 10,000 Plus can power an external TIG machine, such as a Square Wave TIG 200 sold through welding distributors. Or if you shop retail, the LE31MP or 180i MP DV. For the retail products, you would need to add a TIG torch and maybe even a foot pedal. For information on the LE31MP and the 180i and the TIG accessories for them, please visit lincolnelectricretail.com/ Please reply if you have any other questions!

With the Eagle(TM) 10,000, you can stick weld. It comes with an electrode holder, cable and ground clamp. And with 10,500 watts of surge AC power, you can MIG, flux-cored and basic TIG welding in constant current mode (with optional equipment). Hey TexasTough Carports, We recommend that you do not power two welders at the same time. If needing another engine driven welder for stick, the Lincoln Electric Bull Dog delivers up to 140 amps, and the Outback 185 packs 185 amps of welding power. Wishing you and your team the best.
@@LincolnElectricRetail do you guys ever plan on offering an optional diesel motor for the smaller welders? I know dozens of welders who would pay for the option myself included. Sorry you can't find the Eagle at Home Depot. We do not have a definitive date when the Eagle will be back in stock. Have you considered the Ranger? It has similar specs but has CV output capability for Suitcase flux core and MIG welding. Here's the link to the product on the Home Depot site: thd.co/3HvkZEG
