Nothing beats a good stick set up when welding on rusty material .....Son, if you will permit me...I have been welding for over 50 years and it takes time, repetition and training to lay down a bead that will do the job as specified, and pass a beauty contest ...Will yours pass a beauty contest, no, but it will do the job as specified, and will sure as hell get the job done....Your welds don't look to bad ,so you continue on, confident that you possess the skills needed to maintain your farms needs.....#MoneySaved...

    • @earlhollar1906

Moist is one thing you don't want when working with a Lincoln welder in the field. Built a similar round Corral and chutes for a friend. Did it in the winter time with wet slushy snow on the ground , and the old gray Lincoln welder though. Thought the Rubber overshoes and leather welding gloves would insulate me enough until I drop down on one knee to get the bottom rod Fastener welded. Fell over to the side shaking like a leaf at first Ark.!.! "I don't claim to be smart , but I am a pretty good welder".

Cole. I hope your joking about bed bugs.

    • @pinwizz69
      @pinwizz69 Год назад

Red ant powder posion kills them. Put some in the seams of the matress and other areas they hide for a couple of days then vacume it out.
Use a commercial steam cleaner you rent at a local big box store then let it dry.
Hot wash all clothing and bedding with the point then repeat twice to wash that out.
The same poisin is good for roach and other pests that are difficult to get rid off.
      Including mice of all things.
Just sprinkle it where they track.
      It's seriously nasty stuff.
      That's a South Florida hack.

Cole them are some nice gates, you may have to build some to sell in the store. This is my welding story. When I was in high school in machine shop class one day I was welding on something in the floor with a stick welder and this boy in class keep sneaking up to me and heating my britches leg up with a cigarette lighter. I told him to quit two or three times and he didn’t. That’s where he messed up! The next time I felt my leg heat up, I flipped my helmet back and he was standing in front of me. I took that Hot welding rod and poked him hard with it between his belt and his privates. It burnt a hole through his britches and underwear. Branded him right then and there. He wanted to fight, but I told him I had warned him to leave me alone. He never bothered me again after that. That’s all I got to say about that. Your dad looked so proud at how the gates looked. Hope they work well for y’all. Thanks for the videos

Hey Cole, here is a suggestion for a winter project. Build your self some steel saw horses with flat tops that you can clamp stuff to. It will be a lot easier to work standing up than bending over to the floor. When i started my first cabinet shop, the first thing i did was build a bunch of sturdy saw horses to build stuff on. I also use a big assembly table. The saw horse idea migh be better, you can stack them out of the way when not in use, you could also get an airless sprayer and prime them with rust proof primer while they are on the horses.

Built SOOO many gates and cattle yards on Aussie cattle stations and dairy yards.
Always welded my verticals bottom up, you look to be going top down.
Bottom up always filled better and have a better bead and finish.
    Try it. 👍🏻

I like to watch farm related videos mainly because farmers for generations have been Fixing and Fabricating, hence the term “ Farm Fix “. The other day I watched a video by KyFarmerman titled Millet Tour, Fence is done. In it his dad has came up with a simple yet effective home build tool to keep barb wire spacing on new fences consistent while also holding the wire in place when fastening. When you see it you will go wow so simple why didn’t I think of that.
