This is just what is needed for partial rv backup. Operates the ac and stuff perfectly. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y is quieter than my rv generator. Only suggestion is that it needs a fuel shutoff valve. So it is easier to store.
Running this welder in heavy duty construction. Local Union 433. Very impressed with this thing. 232, 305 wire welding better than Lincoln 305d and Miller 325. Air arcing also very good. Using in 10 hours a day. Two gas tanks for 10 hours welding and air arcing. Recommend.
Update after one year. I quit Union and running my own shop, purchased that lil welder. Very happy with it.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
would love a story about how you got your shop started :)
@Cliff Johnson I’ll buy it
@Cliff Johnson What is wrong about the cables? Wasn’t it under warranty?
@Cliff Johnson How much discount?
Bought one had it 8 months the machine is a beast and I'm an old 200 guy. This machine is awesome
Awesome thanks for the feedback! We will be posting a video this week showing the Spoolgun you will have to check it out.
My son bought me one three years ago so I could teach him to weld. I'm a retired rig welder/pipeliner. I always ran an SA200, an SA250 and a Classic IIID. This welder is amazing and I love it! I don't know what's wrong with the fuel pump on the one in your video, maybe acustics, but I can barely hear mine. I love this welder! Three years later, I'd buy another one.
Very cool! We appreciate you watching and commenting.
@@BakersGas how much for a cover for this thing? I've had it on the porch for three years and snow is coming soon.
@@HogMan2022 weld up a full covered housing with a hinges half way point. Or however u prefer to fab it up. Simple
@@reddye2331 I'm gonna do just that! I built a skid for the welder, two bottles of acetylene and two bottles of oxygen last summer. I mounted it to the fifth wheel tracks in my bed so I can remove it ....and I'll finish it this spring, when the snow melts. I love this little welder! Don't know if I'd want to wear it out pipeline, but I had a friend twenty years ago that ran a Ranger 250 on water lines, welding 7/32" E6010 all day, and he hung in there with us for months. He had to fuel up at lunch, but he did just fine!
I like the pin number. That's an awesome feature!
Looking to buy one now in 2022. Good Gravy. The prices sure have skyrocketed since you presented this video! Like $2700 more!
Yea Lincoln, Esab, and Miller price gouges like hell.
Thatis a awesome welder, love the design of it
People will always hate change. You really think they didn’t test the lcd display to the Extreme? I’m sure they exposed that thing to -50 or greater! It’s a multiprocess welder would be great for someone like myself that owns a mobile welding business. Not everyone does pipeline work some of us actually know how to uphill weld and tig!
Glad you can weld bud, as bad as the vantage and cross country turned out for Lincoln i dont imagine they did much to improve especially on a machine that is half the cost of either of those.
Haha bang on man why spend 100k on a diesel truck and a top of the line welder when a 1500 and one of these can literally do the exact same thing for a fraction of the price.
As someone who fucks with electronics at the component level,, a screen will never be 1/2 as reliable as analog controls.
Wish I could get a career in Welding if the right person had the patience to work with me
just unboxed mine very fast service thanks guys
Our pleasure! Thanks for the order!
Damn, I just bought my everlast mts255 with the water cooler and now I see this thing!!!!!!!!! Hopefully I can make some money back with some work and get one of these bad boys!
Great vid bro! Just got one to power my house because we're about to get hit with a nasty hurricane! I'm 40minutes east of Lake Okeechobee so wish us luck!
Thanks for watching!! Hope you made it safe through the storm!
Wow, that’s a lot to pack into a compact welder/ generator, well done Lincoln Electric!!😳🙂🙂👍 I think they’ll be a game changer for the welding industry, I’m definitely interested in purchasing one, when I acquire the funds to do so hehe!!👍
Yes pretty sweet machine! Let us know if you have any questions! Thanks for watching!
@cliffjohnson2945Nobody believes that. No one buys a $6000 welder and sits it in the corner and buys another one, just because it “needs cables”. Doesn’t happen.
I have the 210- looking forward to the rest of the review on this one- I may get one.
Yes we also just made a video on the new Ranger 260MPX!!! Check that out too!
Awesome machine. Little Beast Change is Great
Hey Buddy . Enjoy your videos.. Does the 330MPX have lift arc for Tig ? Also, relative to changing the oil- Does the machine have a pigtail for ease of oil change. Thanks for you help n advance!!
They should have a fold down plastic screen in the front to protect the display screen.
Agree!
1 hail stone would be expensive
Does the tig functions menu allow balance and frequency adjustments?
Does it have ArcReach technology like Miller? So I don’t have to go back to my machine when I need to change my set up?
Wish it had old 3 cyclinder perkins in it. Best welder sounds.
I imagine Miller will be putting out a new gas powered unit similar to this one soon. That's a slick looking unit!!!
We will see! Thanks for watching!
I doubt it miller always has been a gadget free basic but hard working welders, whats the point in buying gadgets and options that you never adjust or need?
I'm looking forward for the videos you said about trying all that stuff at the end of that video but I cant find em on your website or on youtube channel
We did the Activ8X and the Spoolgun I will link them below for you:

Those 2 shackles you found on the inside are for cable routing neatness up front. NOT FOR LIFTING! Only the lifting eye on top is to lift the machine with.
When I buy a new house generator this will be it. Double duty!! Good way to justify the cost...
Looks good not crazy with all the electronic bullshit one more thing to go wrong I'd buy it if there was a life time warranty on the Electronics
How well to the electrics stand upto being left out in the weather, rain snow dust and heat
But how does it compare to the ranger 9? Both are the same price if you get a used ranger9.
Also is there plans to make an upgrade to analog and remove the screen or is that fully integrated to the PCB
does it come with oil in the crankcase
Can it weld 3/16 jet or 3/16 5p 6010?
Prettily slick, Lincoln is starting to get in the game. The 210mp wire and 200 square wave are hobby machines I’m not a fan but the display seems adequate. They should of made it more intuitive like the miller 255 multimatic screen.
Starting to get in the game? Haha. Lincoln has ruled the engine drive market for decades. Period. So they make hobby machines, no shit. People don’t need to drop $4-6k on an engine drive to do body work or tinker at home. Lincoln has a welder for absolutely everybody and every pocketbook.
MoparProud the vantage 400 is thier crown the best engine drive period I get it yes. But which industrial AC/DC Tig machine do they make? None! They are missing the boat because they live in the past and stick with thier boat anchors and tech that’s 30 years old on thier precision Tig machines. Let me guess you must own a mp210 or squarewave 210 better yet everlast?
Thier MiG machines same thing no pulse and thier multimatic is junk, I bet you do carry a pocketbook. Troll on buddy
How long of a mig lead will this machine push?
Looks bad ass but want to know how that screen display will hold up in the field cause job sites can get dirty a rough
They do test them pretty rigorously against weather and normal outdoor conditions. I would suggest a cover though :)
The orientation of the gen power output plugs looks like it will require a right angle cord. Very odd.
Wow, this is New for Lincoln.. Alot of options and accessories. I'm surprised by this Ranger👌
Yes also $1,000 rebate!!!
Someone needs to explain to the engineers that design machines that size, Miller as well as Lincoln that a lot of welders like to mount their welder with the controls facing the drivers side behind the cab which puts the fuel cap out of reach and the oil filter against the back of the cab and all but inaccessible.
weldor111 - don’t worry, you can’t get the oil filter off of this thing anyway. There’s a huge support bar about 3/8” off the end of the oil filter. And, the oil drain has to drain uphill, so you’ll never get all the oil out of it anyway.
I'll stick with my 325 EFI miller trailblazer..
You would think Lincoln would offer EFI on there's as well as the excel pwr like miller.
I can run 1/8 7018 at idle all day
Ranger 305 EFI . Kohler engine. Or kubota diesel.
That is a good feature on the Trailblazer . Really doesn't pertain to what I work on like quarry equipment, heavy equipment etc. Alot of times I run 1/6 flux or 5/32 rods. Both brands are are good.
shame i hear so many stories about those 325's blowing up lol. Everyone i seem to talk too with one said it's been trouble. My pipe pro 350 has been great though.
I billed 3175 last week. My welder probably ran about 25/26 hrs. Gas savings way overrated. Excel plug too.
You will be having a surprise at around 800hrs LOL
The display is great but will it work on a windy night in absolute zero?
You gonna work on a wondy night in absolute zero? Not likley.
You did not touch on the ready set weld feature on this unit. That is really cool feature.
Everyone complaining about electronic are just too ignorant to learn it, too scared to learn it, or too old to learn it. I like the lcd display, it’s more convenient. I’ve used an ESAB with an LCD display in the 110° Arizona summer heat and it worked just fine. People don’t like change, but I love change, especially when it’s in a more understandable and easy functionality manner.
I think it just provides another thing to go wrong. Old school knobs have been proven time and time again. I’m into reliability over easy goin.
I like how it just came out and people are all ready putting it down, what ever happened to don’t judge a book by the cover???
This one just seems to have an ugly cover!
I need to go look at one in person to fully make my mind up, but the kind of fighter jet look didn't really work out on this one (in my opinion, of course).
What really matters is how well it melts some metal anyways, so I'm off to find someone burning with it.
They are hoping people buy it based on looks. Doesnt look useful here in Canada at -35
@@dylanpeterson6192 we will post a part 2 soon! What would you like us to show?
@@BakersGas Show us how it puts trailblazers to shame.
the cover tells you what the book is about
How does it work with the digital screen, on the back of your rig and it rains ?
Good question! They simulate driving in the rain mounted on a truck and it is designed to handle that. Lincoln does test them in industrial environments including wind, rain, heat, cold, ect. and it does withstand the tests. If you are familiar with the different ratings it does have the IP23 rating. Which means it is designed for outdoor use. It can be used in 14 - 104 degree temperatures and it can handle spraying water.
I’ll say up front I’m a Lincoln fan boy. I have a 1966 SA200 Redface. I need AC power so I have anxiously awaited this new Ranger. I have to say I’m disappointed that 1. Not fuel injected 2. No auto speed like the Trailblazers. If you want it quiet, slow the engine down from 3600 RPM. That’s my thoughts
Yep. I don’t understand the hesitation to go fuel injected, it’s just common sense. Should be EFI and a diesel option, guys out on location with a (likely) diesel truck working around diesel equipment don’t want to haul two fuels. A slip tank can top off the welder AND the pickup. Seems odd to me.
Run Redon the welder, clear in pickup
is the generator and welder run on separate generator fields?
The trailblazer doesn't anymore.
I was going to buy one to replace my old 305g but the guy at Airgas told me that people have been having issues with the gas tank leaking.
You are welcome to reach out to Lincoln to confirm if that is true. We have sold quite a few and have not heard of that issue. Let us know if you have any other questions. Also we are posting a video tomorrow showing the spoolgun and new 260!
CAN YOU PLEASE DO A VIDEO COMPARING LINCOLN 330MPX EFI TO MILLER TRAILBLAZER 325 EFI
THATD BE AWESOME 👍
Any idea how long the rebate will be good for? Thanks.
If we knew we would tell you! Unfortunately Lincoln Electric likes to keep everyone guessing! I would say that it would for sure be going on March and April. If you for sure want one I wouldn't wait that $1,000 rebate is an awesome deal!
@@BakersGas hehe, yea, I thought that was a loaded question right after I typed it, but, gotta ask! I want one in the worst way. I sold my Ranger 10lx (absolutely loved it but too big for what I do) bought a Ranger 275. It's up for sale and as soon as it goes I'll be ordering.
My boss would have laid me off already for trying to figure out the display on the machine...
Haha it is really simple to use we promise!
Where are the spark plugs ?
What happened to welding with it. I was interested until I noticed you said you would weld with it then didn't. Did something go wrong and you edited it out?
We did a part 2 and weld with it.
I have Vantage and Ranger engine drives.. I would not like this machine display in the sun when I'm changing setting with gloves on switching from CC gouging to CV .. also is it resistant to spatter? Think it would make a nice looking generator for a camper..
The Sales Rep. that brought one by our shop says the screen is resistant to spatter and grinding sparks. I tried the machine out but it wasn't close enough to my work to test his promise of it being resistant. I'm pretty leery of it myself.
@@weslymanley8953
Time will tell.. I was leery about the digital led display when they first arrived 20 years ago.. but really like it for CV accurate readings and amp read out.. what's next blue tooth?
John- yes it is designed to handle the wear and tear of outside and welding. We hear you though on being leery of the screen durability but they do a ton of testing to make sure it meets the standards of the conditions.
Why would you be working that close to the machine mounted on a truck throwing splatter on not only the machine but also the truck and the glass on the truck. You're fired
@@chrisguice3472 buddy I roll my engine drive right into the work zone by crane or cart. Sometimes in the bucket of a wheel loader.. I'm not a cushy factory welder..and I usually wouldn't fire anyone..because I appreciate the hard work it takes from our team to get the job done!..
Where does one get all the leads at. Thanks
We sell all the leads too! We really like Direct Wire cable!
Once again review
Thats like a welder for astronauts
It's cool but seems like a lot that could go wrong with a big bill to match.
The cost is about average for a %100 duty cycle 300 amp gas machine. Price one of the bigger diesel machines and listen to your wallet.
@@chrisguice3472 he’s talking about if the screen messes up it’s be expensive to fix bub
A choke!!! Tighten up Lincoln.
Cool. But I wouldn't be in a hurry to buy one since its the 1st of its kind .
They have a 260MPX now ;)
wait so does this mean i dont need another welder to run tig? can someone please tell me what would i need if i wanted to run tig?
(other than the argon bottle) :)
A tig torch. Unless u wanna run ac
Get a pta 17v or 26v and get the one that’s a 2 piece they make 12.5 feet or 25 feet and u need an adapter from bottle to torch
Looks great but you should have welded something. That fuel pump is awfully loud and annoying.
We do weld in part 2 which will be posted soon. The video was already at 18 minutes so we went with part 1 and part 2. Fuel pump is not too bad keep in mind we had a microphone pretty close to it so we could see the screen and hear Andrew talking. Thanks for watching!
Once the machine is running you cant hear the fuel pump. Why would you be that close anyway.
Is this machine good for the pipeline? I really need a answer thanks
Yes it is an industrial machine. What will you be running off it?
He'll no it ain't good for pipeline they won't even let you test on site they walk you off
Sure it can do pipeline work, but iv seen a lot of ranger 305g out there.
That electric fuel pump start up is really a deal killer. I prefer an 325 efi with excel power and gfci over this anyday of the week
Yeah my tblazer 325 efi is really quiet! Because it's the third one that won't run!
Please tell me they are bringing out a diesel fuel version? If they do im droppin the cash!!
Awesome yes could be we will be sure to post about it!
Are going to make a video about the Lincoln Ranger 260MPX

@@BakersGas awesome thanks a lot, was waiting for your review
I'll take old fashioned dials...
I just bought another trailblazer. If I had seen this video I woukd have bought one.
Lincoln would have been better off if they building a 330 with a air compressor than a video game gas welder like this . To much to go wrong with it being beat up in the field . I will stick to what I have .
I agree. I'm curious how that digital screen holds up to cold weather
Oilfield equipment sees you and raises you. They get beat up daily and usually don’t have issues with the electronics. I’ve had the entire control box fall apart and dangled by the wires for who knows how many miles of rough desert roads and she ran like a top on location.
Your telling me you have one of the new machines and the control box has fell out already. Didn't they just come out.
Nope, not what I said. Slow down, read, comprehend. I said all the electronics in oilfield see more abuse than a welder does, and they work just fine. They’ve had LCD screens since...who knows when? Two decades at least. Oilfield equipment is what I had the control box fall out of...
why doesnt it come with a mouse?
i dont care for the screen and "one knob does all" set up
it looks neat, i thought it was an australian model when i first saw the ad for it. they have more square looking machines there.
so you have to sign in before welding? too nerdy
why didnt they use EFI?
Mike- you do not have to sign in before use. However it does have the capability to ask for a password to use. Sort of like the Iphone you do not have to have a passcode but if you turn it on someone can not access / make changes inside you phone. The idea is for job sites to keep only the operators that need to be in the machine.
It only asks you for a pin to weld if you set that up similar to a smart phone - if you don't set up a lock then there is none
Correct! Really would be helpful on a jobsite or in an area/situation you wanted only authorized people to use the machine.
Cuanto vale actual me interesaría una
Miller is for drinking, Lincoln is for welding....
If you don't want the screen buy a 305g 🤷♂️ not sure what's so hard about that
I'm not sure the screen after 5 years working out doors
They do test them in outdoor conditions to make sure they can take it. I can see your concern like all technology there can be potential issues but also can be really useful.
That control panel would be difficult to use with gloves on.
its 3/16 carbon arc its a misprint on litature
Pretty sure it's 3/16, as 3/64th of an inch is very small, like 2mm small.
Digital display is prob not a good Idea when welding in -30°f
So do t buy it if you deal with that weather
Needs a diesel model
Maybe that will be next!
Not sure a digital display is a good ideal on a mobile welder!! I think it should be analog that way it will last 50 to 100 years that digital display most likely won’t last 20 years
Sure understand your concern. They simulate driving in the rain mounted on a truck and it is designed to handle that.
Baker's Gas,,, I understand what your saying BUT I think we both know the will not last
@@BakersGas I was welding with my 325 trailblazer in 12below the other week on a forestry machine...would that display even function at that temp or just be black...
@Michael 13Fox20 good point!
Come on weld with the dam thing
Part 2 coming soon!
3/16 gouging rods? I buy my supplies at a real store not home depot This screams hobbyist all over it. Slick unit and 4x less weight than mine hope the engineers step up their game for us miners. Lets see some videos in the Canadian winter like -35 after driving down the highway for an hour or so
Yes we hear you it was designed for industrial use but certainly see your point on the cold winters and rugged conditions. We are in Michigan so we know cold too! haha
you will have to stick with your SAE-400 to do big jobs
Check out the RUclips video where it was tested in Alberta Canada - 25 degrees
I give all that noise reduction foam a year max , it will deteriorate and fall off , waste of money on that aspect
Sounds just as loud as my 250 gxt
It is a lot quieter. The mic really emphasizes all noise.
Maybe a good hobbyist machine. Would not recommend for a career welder.
throw it on a service truck and I'm sure it would be right at home.
What kind of hobby do you have to use a %100 duty cycle 300 amp multiprocess machine?
Brandon Brunner we are abusing that welder in local Union 433. 10 hours a day. 2 months. Will by it for my own truck.
How do you know
I wouldn't trade my 305G EFI with 2700 hours in for this straight out. Looks like to much to go wrong for the industry its designed for. Also i think the screen will be a major issue. Not fan of this thing. I want Lincoln to make an sa200 pipliner like they did pre 1985
they will never make the sa 200 again because its too old fashioned, all they want to make now is facebook welders
@@mikecubes1642 boy you ain't wrong, i want return on my investment. Not to look snazzy. It doesn't have to be cheap either, but the more investment the more return i expect ya know
They tried it with the pipeliner 200D, but alot of issues happened to that machine....thats why they no longer sell it anymore
@@Ruben901 what did they do on the 200D machines?
i thought they were just a diesel version of the SA-200
Lcd display what happened to simple knobs and dials no idea why people like that Complicated stuff
I agree with you 100%. As my Grandpa and Dad used to preach to me, just as I preach to everyone these days, "If Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It!"
Yes we hear you! Technology is great but sometimes keeping things simple is the way to go. The screen does help make things more visual and helpful from the settings point of view.
simple is not trendy. they guys who made this welder all wear skinny pants and brown shoes
cubes perfectly stated👏
I love how old ppl(not just in welding but in general) they say oh i wish they make it like (insert some product from back in the day) because technology now and they don’t make them like they used to but i bet they were the same ppl that was bitching about the products back in the day but now they love it now??
And if there is an issue with the screen then it can be probably be fixed by turning it off then on or factory reseting it and I rather do that then having something manual be broken and having to order a specialty part for it or spend money getting the part needed and the screen should not fail and correct me if im wrong(if I’m actually wrong idc that ur butthurt) but it would make logical sense for me to assume that the heat of the engine would generate enough heat so it wouldn’t go down to 32 degrees. Lincoln isn’t stupid they most likely designed and tested this for those cold scenarios that everyone is complaining about
Too much shit to go wrong!!!
bullshit how does it weld?
u can tell he is going to milk it forever... but I am gone now...
Stopped watching when the Kohler engine was mentioned. Complete garbage engine.
What is wrong with them in your experience? We do a lot of big inch pipe fab with our current 305g welders and we can reliably get 4000 problem free hours out of them. You can get more hours out of a kohler than the old Continental F163 motors in SA200s
My 305g runs great
i have heard some bad things about the kohlers too, bent push rods burnt valves.
@@FSXWLFS you can really get 4,000 hours out of a kohler engine?
