Great video! I found your channel a few years ago when I was searching for short hair updos. I decided almost 4 years ago to stop coloring my hair but I didn't want a short grey hair style. I decided to grow it out (turns out I'm salt and pepper) and wear it up. Best thing ever, I have great hair days almost everyday! I still go back and watch those videos and appreciate your ideas and easy explanation 💚
Great video! I appreciate the tips. I"m wondering if you could speak to oily hair? I have really fine hair and have found it difficult to use products because it weighs it down and looks either limp or greasy the next day,. Any tips are appreciated. Thank you!
Great breakdown of products. I think I remember some old videos when you would have a client in the chair and would talk through their hair type and suggestions for products and blow out. My hair is thin, grey roots after two weeks, and a bald patch at the crown of my head which is hard to cover up. (I use Toppix powder for the bald spot which helps). But my adopted grandmother always bluntly suggests I get a wig. 🤷🏼♀️
I use a hair thickening cream, one by Marc Anthony. Its not expensive. I think without it my hair is so baby fine. With it, a huge world of difference. Can you do a video on hair loss and how to style hair for thinning hair?
This was so helpful! I’m missing the serum step and need to fix that to help my split ends 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 thank you for showing so in detail how to apply. Was doing that all wrong too! 🙊
Kate you are the quintessential professional and such a doll. I’m laughing at a video you did a while back on blow drying and applying products at the gym 😂😂😂😂You were having an intimate experience and said things like “comb it through your ends on your whole scalp, enjoy it” . I knew exactly what you meant.
This is a great video. Kate I have followed you for years. I have an issue I don't think you have mentioned and I don't see anyone else mentioning. I'm 63. Several years ago the hair at the top of my ear towards the front but not a sideburn became frizzy and shorter than the rest of my hair. Like frizzy grey plumes the size of a cotton ball. Should I just cut it off next to my skin or what? The rest of my hair is shoulder length.
My hair is very thin. I took your advice about a year ago and bought the Aquage. It was a game changer for me! Never without it. I even have it in travel size to take when I travel. ❤️
Gracie Amen same with me! I absolutely love the Aquage and have used it for years. I can put quite a bit in, and it never is too sticky. I try to purchase mine when Ulta has 20% off, since it is a bit pricey.
Thank you so much for this video I really appreciate it because I have really been trying to figure out how to use on my hair care products a lot of it is trial and error
Loved this video! I needed help with products. I also use a leave-in conditioner and oil since my hair tends to be dry on the ends. Would I put that on before the serum?
Great info! I have verrry thin straight hair. On the dry side. I wear it longer but the cut is blunt with a bit of layering. Of course I love it big & bouncy (exactly what I don’t have) Any tips? Love watching your channel! 💖
I have great hair but am terrible at deciding what to buy. My hair is slightly wavy so I can wear it that way but I usually use hot rollers or wand hair dryer and lots of hair spray. Yes I'm old enough to be your mom. Lol! What products do you suggest? I have to like the way they smell because I can smell my hair all day.
Glad you came back to hair for a bit, lol....can you talk about how to tame cow licks...grr, i can’t get a good side swept bang due to a very ‘licked’ area in my bangs!!! Lol grr 🤪🥴💁🏽♀️
Try Matrix - "Total Results High Amplify Wonder Boost Root Lifter". I've been using it for the past seven years. It has the consistency of the water (no silicones, perfect for fine hair).
There is no way I can put that much product in without weighing down my extremely fine hair. I only use heat protection and a fine mist hair spray along with a lot of teasing! I’m always so envious of those of y’all who have so much more hair... but at the same time I’m lucky to not have to spend as much time on my hair. Also I HAVE to wash it daily or it becomes untamable. No amount of dry shampoo helps it.
I have ultra fine thin hair and too many products weigh it down. I think a heat protector and a volumizer are a must for my hair. What can you recommend? I tried a small amount of the foam volumizing product you use and my hair was like a helmet. I think sprays are a little bit lighter on my hair type. Thanks
@@heatherchinoski3873 Have you tried Alterna Volumizing Mist? I have fine hair and it doesn't weigh my hair done. Verb Ghost Oil is amazing on your ends and Bumble and Bumble Primer Mist is great for heat protecting fine hair.
It seems like you have thicker hair (I love it btw), but I have VERY fine and thin hair; can you do a video about products and styling for that hair type? Xo!

I started watching with your hair styling tutorials. Haven’t seen one for a long time. Would love to see more.

Great advice! Thank you
Great advice! Thanks for the explanation.
This is so helpful. Thank you Kate!:)

Can you put each product on a list I want to get each one you used. You give awesome tutorials. Thank you
Thank you for this video It helps alot
Thanks for the video! How often do you put these products in your hair? Only after washing your hair or every day/other day?
Thanks for this.
Can you give advice on product names that you prefer for the mentioned styling product application video? This was great info you shared. Thank you!
Such a helpful video! I’m curious, whats your goal when choosing a thickening cream *and* a volume spray? What’s the difference between the two?

How would you apply (Paul Mitchell) smoothing serum, (Kendra) Blowout Spray and ( Ouai) Leave in conditioner spray in order?
The video is really informative. Can you make a video about how to properly condition the hair
These products are great but we didn't see how your hair looked after blow drying....please do that next !!!! I need to see the results !!!
Finally the aquage!!!
Tried the Aquage a few years back and it made my hair feel oily at the roots. Suggestions?

what is your hair texture? I wanted your haircut and ended up with layers :( It doesn't look like yours. I have fine frizzy hair.

Heather Chinoski Aquage is a must for fine hair. I love it.
I tried it and didn't like how my hair felt or looked, even the smallest amount gave me helmet hair.

Then I hope you will do a follow up video of this?
What would I tell my stylist to get layers like yours?
I was wondering the same thing!
She always says this! Go to her Instagram and find a good pic of her hair and show your stylist! They will know what to do!
Thanks, just did that.
