If you can fly 20,000 km, half way around the earth, you can fly from anywhere to anywhere else non-stop.
Depends on the runway of your departure and arrival Airport. An A350 can't land in every runway
Laura Halliday 777x8 can do 19,000km I think
Laura Halliday they got it wrong in this video
@@p.f.r.5985 just go the other way around the world then. After 20,000km distances can only get shorter
Imagine having to dump fuel an hour into the flight
Boeing 777 gets prounuced as seven-seven-seven 1:57

That landing was smoooooooooooth!
Haha Seven-Seven-Seven (Triple Seven is much quicker and used more often)
Better than saying Seven-seventy-seven
@@United1158 you made my day 😂😂
Seven hundred seventy seven
This video could use an honorable mention of the Airbus ACJ350 the A350-900 based business jet with the offered range of 20000+ km.
Those jets are not really representative tho. They have much less seat available as they use additionnal fuel tanks.
No the actual range of A-350 is 15000 kms
@@varietiesofvideos1653 he literally said ACJ, business jet, can you read?
777-200LR had the longest range before the A350-900ulr came into service. The LR is just ridiculously long long range for an aircraft introduced in 2006
A340-500:am I a joke to you?
@@wingchetlai4171 Even though the Airbus a340-500 had 4 engines it beat the range of all the twinjets of the time but i think it would still be less comfortable because the 4 engines make alot of noise
@@loify8381 They weren't even that big
I actually guessed it would be the A350 ULR or 777X as they are designed for these long distance flights...
wow thats crazy
The Airbus A350-900ULR is currently the longest range airplane...with nowhere to land 😏
What do you mean?

Singapore Airlines still flying SIN-LAX using A350ULR
The triple 7 could make that flight easily
My guess? The a350 ulr
Yoav Hofstein 777x
I remember reading that many of the companies that purchased the 747 models prior to the B747-400 purchased it more for the range than because of the passenger capacity.
777-8
777-200LR
A340-500
A350-900ULR
Thank you @simpleFlying :-) each video is well explained :)
Amazing route. SIN-EWR. A340-500 (past)
A350-900ULR (now)
Magnificent.. SQ🔥👏
the Kc-135R deservers an honorable mention. i know it doesnt count, but its still something to consider. its max ferry range is 9,572 Nautical Miles (17,727 Kilometers). And the 777-8 BBJ deserves an honorable mention with an 11,654 Nautical mile (21,583 Kilometers) range
Great video. ☺️

Thanks for choosing my national airline as your thumbnail ! Saudia B747
0:29 That 747 Smooth Landing
Nice video 🛩️🛩️🛩️👍👍👍👍
Very very interesting video.
3:36 los angeles is in the wrong spot, it is further down south
Crazycube it’s way off. Their Los Angeles is closer to where Seattle should be.
IKR? Like an AIrbus fan would know where LA was actually located. ;p
h8GWBî I always thought Boeing was in competition with Airbus, and not exactly a fan...
(This clip was taken from one of Boeing’s official videos for the 777X)
777-200LR
This video: exists
Space Shuttle: Hold my beer!
Technically it has a very short range, it only stays up in orbit with small bursts every few days while essentially falling all the time
@@FlyLeah but travels for thousands of km!!!

*_In the next episode: Coronavirus can now infects planes, which causes 90% drop in flights_*
Indeed
35 years ago I flew from Dover AFB to Dhahran Saudi Arabia in a C-5a. We got onboard around supper, refueled twice in flight, and landed around supper. There were only a few pax on the upper level so we could spread out, lay down, and sleep.
Cool Thumbnail
YES! I knew i was the a350!
Just 3000 km away on those last two from being able to go around the earth on one tank.
Technically Solar Impulse
require ment at least 250+ passengers on paper
anwser: a340-500 or 777-200lr
more like A350-900. A340s are way too inefficient than its boeing rival
Please make a video about wizz air and its A321XLR like where it will be operated

Ryanair Pilot: The smoothest landing I’ve ever seen in my life
I guessed A350-900 ULR, guess I was right.
The A340's 17.000km is actually impressive at it's time, even still is now maybe.
Hmmm. I know of around 400 707s that could stay airborne infinitely if it wasn’t for crew duty day. Quite a few dc-10s and a330s as well
Not in airline service tho, and not technically regular versions of those planes
Can you do a video like this but propellers
Thumbnail shows Saudia Royal Flight Boeing 747SP Taking off
My guess was the a340-600
I remember Simply Flying publish an article about Sud Caravelle being forgotten. It seems they also forgot about Caravelle. 890nm is way shorter than 1540nm
I guessed right!
Concord likes this
I correctly guessed the a350 with my reasoning being that it's newer than the 777 and has only two engines unlike the 747-8 or the a380.
We have 787-9,a350-1000 XWB :D
It's nice to see that the retired Boeing 747 of Philipine Airlines is shown 🥰🥰
?
I did guess the 777, I’ll take it
My guess? The space shuttle
Did anyone else find it subtly hilarious that, at the very moment the v/o was talking about how short the range of a 737-100 was, the video was showing stock footage of the Naru plane? I mean, short range and a remote Pacific island is ... kind of an unintentionally hilarious juxtaposition, isn't it?
Either 777x or 747sp.
@2:10 - That's a 340-300
My range has four burners🔥. It's good to arrange ranges in chronological order.
Longest or furthest? Big difference there. Also you should take in account the amount of seats. The 380 at 600 passengers full load vs the A350 full load vs ... I have an idea numbers will shift. Might also be the reason some long distance airlines prefer Boeing over Airbus and the way around.
You left out the A-350-1000 with a range of 9,700nm and which won Qantas’ Project Sunrise comp, ordering 12.
Spending more than 16 hours on a plane from melbourne to LA in economy was the worst travel experience in my life
I can imagine. Sounds horrible. For me even 10-11 hour flights to Shanghai are super long.
Cash strapped SAA switched from A346 to A359. Makes perfect sense now.
Airbus A350ULR ! ;-)
The dassult mercure had a range of 1000km
Its 1000nm not 1000km
The video defined the parameters very specifically and there are still people in the comment section blabering non-sense. Obviously A350-900 ULR is the passanger plane, that is not a prototype but real commercial plane with the longest range. They said very clearly they are not going to consider planes without seats and etc. Other people are talking about how a B777 can make the same route from Singapor to destination X. Also not relevant because the route is not the range of the plane. A350-900 ULR is the longest range plane, live with it. Soon if the market needs it, there will be even longer range plane.
The ULR can only go 9000+NM with about 165 passengers with bags. I know because I have taken that flight many times. 17 hours nonstop once.
Meh guess is the Triple 7 200lr snd the 777x-8
I think this begs the question, how far would a plane have to be able to travel half the earth's circumference, thus being able to go anywhere on earth from any given point?
20 000k. Its actully how the meter is defined
I assume you don't include military aircraft? I wouldn't be surprised if some B-52 or something had a way longer range.
Before watching the video: I predict it's gonna be the A350 ULR
Did anyone notice..the a340-500 was a A340-300 aircraft on video
I wonder if the A350 -900URL can still maintain its range with a std configuration of 325 pax across 3 classes.
With all the safety protocol in consideration, the extra fuel tank is needed to store "emergency" fuel, which will never be used in 99% of the situation.
No it can’t. It has to reduce pax to carry the extra fuel to get that range
Should there have been a mention of the a350-1000 ultra long range for qantas in this video?
I was totally wrong with my guess of the 787.
My Guess is the A350-900 ULR.
Woohoo Fiji Airways!
❤👍A350👍❤
Can you do one about why ANA used 747s on domestic routes
Not just ANA, JAL also used the 747s on their domestic routes as well. My guess would be high volume demands.
In fact Boeing even develop a unique 747 variant for them, the -400D version (without the winglets and other minor changes) which was tailor made for their high volume domestic routes.
I would still say the Boeing 777-200LR as it carries more passengers and cargo the range listed while the Airbus 350-900ULR only takes sub 200 passengers less the cargo only sub 1000km further I say fit them out equally and see what happens
My guess is 777x
Dreamliner dash 10
Wait till 777X ER comes out
Airbus A-350ULR
The 747SP looks so small compared to todays 747s 😂
Technically the bombardier global 7500 is the longest range business jet which can travel a distance of 7600 nautical miles or 14000+ kms in full tank capacity
B777-200LR
Good show.
either 777-200lr or a350-900ULR
What about ther 767-300ER before the 747SP as it has a range of 10,000Km
The 747sp looks fotoshoped
New future services are being planned nonstop JFK-SYD 9950m/16013km and LHR-SYD 10753m/17010km. I believe the A350ulr or 787 will be used.
A350-1000ULR
of course qantas are planning to buy an A350-1000 version that can fly heathrow to sydney and new york to sydney
Airbus A380, Airbus A350XWB-900ULR and Boeing 777-9X soon.
I want to order that 777-8BBJ
11,645NM!!!!!!
I think private a350 also have range of about 20k or so.
Now, if that 21000 km range aircraft was there it would be the only one that could connect any two given points on Earth, given that the circumference of the earth is roughly 40000. But not many people need to travel from Auckland to Madrid that often which is why such an airplane would never be viable.
You made no mention of the Boeing 777-9X. Though, it isn't in service as of writing this. I anticipate that its mileage will be most impressive.
13,000 km
@@guy3639 im actually impressed that the a350-1000 has more range than the -900 because the trend is that the shorter the model, the more range it has.

What is the most fuel efficient airliner per mile?
Celera 500L is the most fuel efficient aircraft today. Although it's look more like a dirigible
Qantas Should use a A350-900ULR From London To Sydney
you forgot the boeing 777200lr
It’s actually the A350-1000 XWB ULR
The private 777x with the range of more than 21000km will be a game changer👌👌👌👌
Yeah that right, when it gets out of the disaster dungeon
Do the ranges assume no wind?
A350ULR
My guess is the 737 MAX because its new
Not fair, you have to include the fuel volume of every plane.
