  • Comparison of two legendary aircraft Boeing 777x vs Boeing 747 aircraft
    Boeing is a well-known name in the aviation industry, having developed a wide range of aircraft from commercial to military. In this video, we'll talk about two planes that, in terms of size and volume capability, have revolutionised the aviation industry. The Boeing 777x and the Boeing 747 will be discussed.
    The Boeing 777x is a game changer for commercial aircraft because it incorporates numerous advancements in aircraft design and technology that will undoubtedly benefit airlines.
    The Boeing 747, introduced in 1969, is the company's most famous aircraft. Because it was designed without the use of computers, this aircraft was initially dubbed the engineering marvel. This aircraft design was created by nearly 4,500 engineers working together.

    It doesn't matter how advance the technology, room capacity, folded wing tips, fuel efficiency, and many more features the 777x has to offer in comparison to its 4 engine counterpart like Boeing 747-8i, I still love and prefer the queen of the skies over the new triple 7x.

    The current 777-300 ER engine produce 115,000 thrust power. More than 777X. Not to mention that it has the ability for added 02% to the 115,000 in some conditions.
    The new engine is less in thrust, but, bigger in size and more efficient.

    The 747 was, and always will be a beautiful airplane, and will always be my favorite airplane, but the new way of flying comes into view with the 777X types. The 9X is a tremendous development, and I think this airplane will be a true game changer when it starts flying. It is already appreciated as a freighter, with some 777-8X freighter orders already placed. The costs of flying will be less, on an operational basis, as opposed to the A380. The 777X will incorporate a nice new interior like the basic 777s, but a lot more capacity. The largest existing turbofan engine, the new state-of-the-art "massive" GE-9X turbofan, will be a bit more economical as are current engines. This will be a terrific airplane for both crews, and passengers altogether. However, It's quite a bit "long", but some airport utilization might come through, and this beast will come through to some airports.

    • @johnchapman6446
      @johnchapman6446 Год назад +3

      I think rather than re-engineer the 747 into a twinjet it might be easier to modify the 777 so that it has an upper deck similar to that of the 747? It's a similar length already (777-9 is actually longer), you wouldn't need to redesign the wing, landing gear etc. It would look great. In fact maybe just create a hybrid, cut off the front section of a 777-9 and replace it with the front section of the 747-8 with the upper deck. The difficulty might be the slightly different fuselage widths, but I'm sure that could be overcome. Also the engines may need more power.

      I would like to see a conventional 747 hybrid with 2 slightly bigger engines inboard (2 & 3), and 2 outer engines that are electric (1&4). The power generated by the inboard engines would power the electric ones. Also new improved batteries will power the outer engines during cruise and decent. I want to see Boeing use the 747 for hybrid research and future electric flying.

    passenger aviation tends to go to smaller planes, the times of planes with a capacity of 450 or more seats are over. this is why twin engine planes like the 777X (up to 414 seats) or the A350-1000 (up to 380 seats) will be the new upper limit.
    The 747 will be in the skies until 2040 or 2050 as a freighter, more or less the eager beaver of cargo aviation.

    I always think that 4 engines are better than 2. The B747 can be hybrid, with the inner engines being slightly bigger, and the outer engines being electric. The 747 could use the engines from the A350 for the inner ones, and the outer engines would be much lighter weight and run off of batteries and excess power generated by the inboard engines. Keeping the B747 would be my way of going hybrid gas/electric.

    The problem with the 777 is that is has no hump at the front. The whole point of the 747's hump was to allow freight to be loaded at the front. Which is much easier than loading from the side.

    As a heavyweight freighter the 747-8 on probably remain at the top. Asset passenger jet the triple 7X will probably do a remarkable job of replacing the 747. The fuel efficiency of the triple 7x will probably best for the 747 the higher seat capacity any and economy usually wins out cost always matters in a profit-and-loss business endeavor. Twin Jets have improved much more over the last 15 years than four-engine Jets.

  • @avoidingtrees6692

    Thé 747-8 does not consume a lot of fuel. As a matter of fact we would burn 8t an hour compare to the 747-400 which would burn 10t an hour. On the 777 we would burn 6 t an hour but with only 100t of cargo. The 747-8 would carry nearly 140t of cargo ………with no issue On the fuel load with no penalty on range. But maintaining 4 engines killed its future.

  • @fastscpinc.5594
    @fastscpinc.5594 2 года назад +8

    Yes. I believe that the 777X can and will replace the 747; the modern design is an improvement. However, as a retired engineer, with time spent as a safety engineer, I firmly believe Boeing has reduced their engineering expertise to dangerously low levels - especially safety engineering. I prefer to fly other aircraft than Boeing’s newer planes. As an investor, I do not own Boeing shares and suggest to other investors to sell their Boeing shares.
