Anti-Fairies have made their debut in The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish with the introduction of Irep the Anti-Fairy, formerly known as Anti-Poof/Foop! Irep is all grown up but more evil than ever before, giving Dev Dimmadome everything he wants and breaking all the rules! How has Irep changed compared to Peri? What about his design is different? You're right. Dev embodies Timmy's worst traits, while Hazel represents the best of Timmy.
You are right but there's a difference between two it comes down to the parents of the characters.Hazel's parents come across as being loving and caring while Dev's dad is a selfish individual who shows no affection towards his son which would explain why Dev is behaving this way
Not necesarily, Hazel gets into so much trouble cause she is over ambicious or stubborn. While Dev can be pretty recourceful himself.

My theory explaining why Peri so closely follows the rules and doesn’t do anything “cool”, is for the safety of the world and taking his experiences with Timmy and applying them to Dev.

While cool on paper, the other Anti-fairies aren't like that. I guess would have made sense when he was a baby, but the others are basically the same, but with their psyche twisted. Anti-Cosmo being basically the mastermind of the Anti-Fairies (until Foop), Anti-Wanda being dense as a brick, or Anti-Jurgen being skinny and weak.
The cubic head is just to remember "hey that's him, remember?" would have made more sense to just make Peri's design, and do the simple recolor like the rest of anti-fairies but eh. What's done is done.
Also Butch Hartman said that the baby fairies are sort of like tadpoles they start off being just their head and as they get older their body grows

Actually, there is a problem.
Because Irep is an Anti-Fairy who can go against the rules, Dev can share Irep's existence to the world which will lead to even more problems and chaos down the line
If it were that easy, Crocker would be MUCH better off than his current state of being a janitor.
Keep in mind that people could assume that Dev’s footage could be fake and that Jorgen is around.

I like how little Irep and Peri's relationship have changed. Irep still views his entire worth to being better than and defeating Peri while Peri continues to beat him by remaining calm, rolling with the punches, and adapting to the situation he's in until it's to his advantage.
Hey if ain't broke don't fix it, and I doubt Irep's vengeful attacks have died down since the original series.
Seems like just yesterday they were fighting over who got the role of a giant cookie in the school play. 😂

His head shouldn't be a square. As each of the anti fairies are the opposite of their good selves. As a baby it's u derstandable but his head should NOT be a square.

@@DxrkChazmThat was kind of the whole idea for Foop/Irep's design. Poof is round and Foop is square, legitimate the opposite of each other.
I like the cube head, but the hair is very different from Peri's, it makes irep look "older" than he really is.
Yeah, I think the mustache might be at fault for that
He kinda has a mix of a greaser and a Vampire mixed look which I think the kinda thug look counters well with Peri’s buttoned up look

Dev’s character development reminds me of what Helga’s Nanny said before she went home. “You’re such an angry girl, and you won’t let anyone help you. So you must live with your unhappiness.”
That definitely describes Dev right now. He's also very similar to Remy, Timmy's godkids rival. He wanted to get rid of Timmy's God Parents because he was jealous that Timmy had parents and God parents who loved him, and he only had Juandissimo and very neglectful parents.
Honestly, I love Irep's design, and his voice is close to Anti-Cosmo's accent. This is making me wonder if Dev will be the new Crocker in the future.
Since Crocker had Cosmo and Wanda in the past, but due to Timmy and Cosmo accidently reveal of Crocker having fairy godparents. Since Jorgan had to use the memory device over and over, it makes me wonder if Dev will be disfigured like Crocker in the past. Since Peri did tell Dev he was gonna be divine but I think he'll end up like Crocker but worse.
Crocker became the way he was by an abuse of the memory wipe. Everyone kept making things worse which meant Jorgen kept having to use it which fried his brain and messed up his face.
That would be a sad ending

Sadly it was only approved for ONE season.
Seriously this show is the PERFECT sequel series to the original, AND could even work as a continuation to Danny Phantom too when you think about it. With Ghosts being researched at a similar pace by the Galax Institute.
If done right they could easily combine the two show universes canonically.
Maybe it would follow Danny's future kid who was never told his father's secret, starts to discover his own powers but his father is too busy *fighting ghosts unknown to him*, ends up being led astray by Vlad and another person *Tie in to that Graphic Novel*. Which is season one's major arc, that gets resolved by it's conclusion.

Great to see Foop/Irep again and while I’m not too big on them keeping the square part of his design still, he was used very well in this episode and was a great reintroduction. Would be great to see his parents again aka Anti Cosmo and Wanda to see where they are at.

And hopefully we'll get see him in his full protentional of being a villain since he was a comedic one during the series' original run/the bad seasons. And as for his design they should've had him look like Peri but make his head slightly square or just give him a square jawline. And as for Irep's hair, they should've had the swirl tips also be spiky at the ends to.
This is sad af, we're just seeing an emotionally neglected kid just spiral downwards.

Dev would be Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda's favorite family member, and by that I mean, its obvious that Irep is going to claim Dev as his first "Anti-Godchild!"
I think Dale will not end up in Fairyworld or missshoot it and end up in Pixieworld. Where the Pixie's are brewing their next long plan...
But... Dale is like: "No no no.. you are thinking too slow.. you gotta move faster like technology."

We keep having say that Hazel is Timmy at his best, while Dev is Timmy at his worst, but in reality, they do both have some of his positive and negative traits. Hazel is...very insecure and not confident in herself when this series begins, and whatever else you want to say, Timmy rarely had that issue.
Meanwhile Dev lacks the self awareness that is Hazel's main hang up, but he's got confidence for days. The two, between them, balance out to be good people, as Cosmo and Wanda really are helping to boost Hazel's confidence, and I hope the season finale directly shows her being the one taking charge.
Dev, on the flipside, needs to show that he's begun to understand other people ARE people, just like him, that would be him finally stopping to listen to them, or even better, showing compassion for those around him, in a way that Timmy often would in some specials when he realized he screwed up big, and tried to fix things.
Mind, we all know this finale is going to see the return of Timmy, possibly as something between his 'Old Timmy' self from that one episode, and the Channel Chaser's version. Tall, slightly out of shape, and having somehow tricked the rules into letting him remember Cosmo and Wanda in some distant way...also they will say he's married but never reveal if it's to Tootie or Trixie.

Something tells me Dale and Dev might end up fighting over who will rule over FairyWorld when Dale finds a way to get to FairyWorld and Dev gets his Anti-Fairy cult.
Honestly, I had a feeling Foop would show up after reading the description of one of the upcoming episodes last week stating that Dev teams up with someone named Irep, which I quickly figured out was "Peri" spelled backwards. However, I wasn't sure if our Peri was Foop in disguise or not, mainly because they share the same voice actor now.

It’s the loophole from Fairy Idol! And I’m starting to piece together why we never saw Anti-Fairies in said competition
Should an Anti-Fairy become a godparent, unlike other magical creatures who can become such or fairies in general, they are not abided to the rules due to them being the opposite of fairies.
Here’s the real danger to the loophole. Because it’s against the rules to tell anyone you have fairies or risk losing them, that means it’s okay to tell someone you have an anti-fairy as your godparent! Magic would become common knowledge and basically mass chaos would ensue and threaten the universe itself.
So you see the dangers of the quitting loophole and why Jorgen needs to update the rules to prevent this from happening

I love how they took this show that was originally episodic and gave it an overarching plot! As someone who grew up with the original series, I'm excited to see where everything leads! And my Infinity Train loving brain is SOARING at the similarities!

Another design detail that I like is along with the cube/square head shape, this shape theming goes into the clothes. His clothes have an almost geographic look to them as well.
Project H makes me think that H.P. the Pixie is coming back too
I can possibly see Dev losing Peri and getting his memory wiped after he screws up royally. but in a later episode, possibly in the next season, Peri WANTS to go back to Dev and is willing to put his job on the line to prove that there is good in Dev, deep DEEP down.

I really like how they're slowly re-introducing older characters in the series like Poof/Peri, Foop/Irep, AJ, Vicky, and Mr. Crocker. I wonder if we'll see other OG characters appear like Chester, Francis, Trixie, Tooty, Dinkleberg, Remy Buxoplenty, Juandissimo, Timmy's parents, and of course eventually Timmy himself.
While I don't think enough time has passed imagine that Dale was the new target for the pixies 37 year plan

Poof’s reintroduction really got me interested in how the show would be going. On one hand, I automatically assumed it was gonna start bringing back characters for nostalgia factor, but I was intrigued. Now, hearing all of the directions and refreshing takes the show has on its old concepts makes me think about checking it out for myself!

The best thing about this series is how the writers are keeping up with Da Rules and the lore, which was something the original series completely ignored in the later seasons.

The thing is that there might actually be some data on anti-fairies remember the Jimmy-Timmy power hour even if people couldn’t see them that friday the thirteenth still had an extreme abundance of bad luck and the earth also stood still which was noticed and made it to the news. Crocker might also have some data on them and if not then Norm could make a reappearance because crocker would have an abundance of data on genies. Semi-random thought does anyone else want them to reference Jimmy Neutron?

I don’t know why Anti-Cosmo & Anti-Wanda weren’t introduced first. Dale Dimmadome litterly becomes a character after being a one joke pony in the Lemonade episode, and he’s become even worse then his own father, Doug Dimmadome.
I keep telling people this, but this is a learning curve for dev and peri

Also on the first series, the rich kid (Remy) with the purple themed fairy (juanisimo) was jealous of the main kid (timmy/hazel) for having 2 fairies (Cosmo and Wanda). And Dev just like Remy, by being rich has (or can have) pretty much whatever he wants except parents that care about them.
I think that timmy turner might return after this fairly oddparents a new wish episode who agrees?
I was expecting him to be annoyed at Peri because he had to go through legally changing his name just to keep the theme going. Love that they also did it in the show😂
