Thank you so much for this content, I love hearing from people that i want to one day be like such as Medical professionals like you, I just turned 20 and take the NCLEX-PN tomorrow, i want to one day be a CRNA all from a promise i made to my dad who passed away from cancer when i was 17. Life has been a challenge since his passing but i have to remind myself sometimes that i want to create a better future for myself and fulfill this promise. Its the simple but very important and effective tips and true advice from people like you the help remind me and bring me back to reality and help me get through tough times, so truly thank you so much i really appreciate people like you and your content, and happy new year i hope that it is a good one for you and your family

    Doctor,
Is there a reason that you chose to become a doctor that mostly saves the lives of those who lost their desires to be alive rather than those who desperately want to live but happened to have lost their health or got severely injured?
I know suicidal patients are not the only type of patients you take care of but I'm asking since psychiatrists tend to take care of suicidal patients more than doctors in other departments. I also wanted to know why you feel that it's worth living the life that's making you want to die.

I've often felt like there's a stigma surrounding meditation; people see it as something that's done by pretentious people; people who are just full of themselves and love to talk about how perfect they are....and they're right.... _however_ you could say the exact same thing about almost anything, even something as mundane as clothing (and not even the overpriced designer stuff) it's just that meditation is the one that stuck. As for why it stuck, I can't say for certain but if I had to speculate I'd say it's because the more self centred celebrities out there probably had or have a tendency to talk about how it's something they do regularly which inadvertently caused other people to think to themselves "I don't want people thinking I'm self centred" and thus they avoided meditation.
Now, obviously, if you're someone who is _that_ worried about what other people think of them then don't feel that meditation is something you _have_ to do. That being said I would still advise reading up on it and learning about what the benefits are.
Another misconception about meditation is that it isn't scientific, but in reality that simply isn't true; there are benefits to meditation that are backed by science, such as the fact that it can improve concentration. The idea that it isn't scientific comes from its history of being done as a more spiritual activity, and while the more spiritual benefits might not be backed by science the direct psychological benefits are.

For like 6 years I was living on an average of 3h of sleep per night. I don't know how I survived that and managed to live life but now that I have normal sleep I really notice the HUGE difference it makes. I actually have energy and motivation to do things now
