I wasn't a fan of the 81m redesign at first but seeing the mockups really sold it for me. Also, the process behind the gas redesign was slick as hell! Great job to both! 👏👏👏
81 Media really showed it's versatility with the mockups. For Gas Studio, I loved how the type looked very retro but the "G" did look like a "J" tho...maybe a minor nitpick but both were great. I know it's been said but the way Mart works in Photoshop is absolutely amazing. Holy shit.
I am a week late, shet. Anyways, that old 81M design reminded me of the brand 3M. Glad that they changed the logo to a better one. As for GAS, I loved the 2nd one better. Clearly, it has the retro feel.
I liked the GAS icon a lot, but it kind of looks like a 'J' to me. Still a nice graphic nonetheless. Not a fan of the 81M to be honest. The original is such a great logo though so it was up against it I guess. Thanks for the content guys.
I think the original 81M logo wins for me. I feel like the type in the redesign has too much character and fights with the icon too much. I think if he incorporated the M into the icon, he could've went without the "media" wordmark. The GAS redesign was beautiful.
81M logo had way too many elements in the logo itself(nothing wrong with that, but it was going a minimal direction). Then when the typography was introduced, that too now had a catchphrase. Just a little overkill in my opinion. For GAS, I felt the G-A-S lockup was much better than the later design with typography. It was very clever to use the same elements and it read quite well too. It could've worked as just a logo form or in the right medium, typography could've been added to better communicate the name.
I liked that option too bro, it's always tough decisions when it comes to call it done. That's what I've tried to talk about on this episode. But yeah, thanks for share your thoughts. Appreciate it.
The tagline was just optional, if this was created for a client I'd also give them that option. But as you can see in the mockups it wasn't used that much.
That 81m logo is just too cliché for my taste. If you look at arri, kino flo, chrosziel, panavision, j.l.fisher, camera rentals or big production houses, no one uses a camera in their logo... it's a bit too obvious...
The title of this video may be misleading for people searching for Logotherapy. Logotherapy was developed by neurologist and psychiatrist Viktor Frankl, on a concept based on the premise that the primary motivational force of an individual is to find meaning in life.
for 81M, I'm going the other direction what 99% of others are saying.. I like option A (original)...better form. redesign looks like it was done half-assed/last minute. 1 looked really thick and un-proportional to the 8, green triangle looked really tiny and looks like a diamond, and 'media' is just so weird looking. For GAS, redesign(option B) was better. not great, but way better. he was smart to pick a shitty poorly designed logo and redesign it. My wish is for designers on your channel to stop overuse and abusing monograms or initials of a brand/name/company and JUST MAKE a mark or symbol for once(abstract or literal).

Thank's Enzo!

B is better than A
Truly amazed and inspired by both Designers!
Thank you and The Futur for sharing 😊
Wow..Inspired a lot. Amazing u guys.
I would love to see a slowed down version of mart creating a logo and commenting on his techniques, I would certainly learn a tonne!
Would be fun :)
A quick fix for us to play it in x0.25
81 media logo looks creative 😊

I enjoy seeing mart’s and hadeel’s sketching process .. a lot of creativity ❤️
Hadeel was a different group.
@@TheFuturAcademy yes I knew, i'm speaking in general
Thanks again!
I would like to see Chris do a side by side critique of all 4 designs at the end of the video.
That would be rad
I can do that.
Hi, Everton's IG link on the video description is missing an "i" at the end.
True. Thank you!

Still studying Mart Biemans work
22:34 get shocked!

At this point Chris is glowing like a brioche bun baked with butter and egg.
That gas symbol was a well designed mark.
Thank you!
Just a reminder, change the copyright year at the bottom of the presentation template.
Thanks

How do you see the results of a or b?
Chris, I really wanna buy that cap man, is there a place we can purchase your merch? 😁 Thank you for another great therapy session! 😎
Yes. On the Futur website. But right now it’s sold out.
hey admin? where can i send my logo sample? im just a beginner. Hope you can feature my weird logo. lol
B is way better than the A
The G in Gas Shop redesign looks more like *J* or fancy *I*
The original 81M logo is more practical and iconic

Still the photoshop brush God

None of them are monograms tho, the letterforms were no way intertwined. Monogram would be for example the The Futur Academy's logo. or LV or Chanel.
