  • This video is for the overthinking artists and creatives! Those of us with good intentions and big plans but who feel they fall short almost everyday.
Ps. I took a week off of youtube to finish this painting finally! I'm so excited to share this studio vlog of the last couple of weeks and my thoughts during this time spent in the art studio finishing a painting.
Watch along as we paint without overthinking things as much and recognize the connections between creating and everyday life experiences. So that we can enjoy the good in each day and even the challenging moments in the studio.
This is an art vlog that isn't afraid to show the mundane details of painting. In this video, you'll also see bits of my ordinary life, some new furniture for the studio and the final piece of art. I hope you enjoy seeing how I try to finish a painting without overthinking!
In the future I think I will continue doing a video every other week, so I can share a bigger section of my painting process and other fun stuff. Let me know if you enjoyed the video and what you want to see in terms of my insights and art motivation for another art studio vlog.
    ps. I have a website at www.mariasisul.com/
I'm hoping to add more to it and reopen my shop this year eventually
and you can follow me on Instagram at mariasisul

Thank you for sharing your long and semi-stressful process with us. Thank you also for sharing your introspections and thoughts with us. I for one feel a little less alone going through my artistic path as a result. Cheers!

Thank you! It is a life lesson to know when to stop a relationship. Ending a relationship with a being or a thing is a process. The same process. Perfection does not exist, just knowing that allows us to "let go" when the time calls.

Well said! Ending a project or way of thinking is as natural and necessary as starting something. Thanks for watching! 😊

Perfectionism seems the bane of every artist's existence and everyone has to find a way through it for him/herself. I think living and loving your everyday life will enrich your art. Video's every two weeks is fine for this viewer; we just want you to take care of yourself and your work.

Waauw.. fantastic work! I love the way your brother seems to be in your room instead of the painting, he pops out like he's jumping into the studio. The tractor too is so detailed. I find the outside part came out perfect. Congatulations to the finish!!🥳🍻 Your dogs are a cute healthy distraction and company😍

Hello Maria. I love this painting. My only concern is the thickness of the boys left arm.

Such encapsulating art style and process to watch. Your delivery is very insightful. Do you follow Jess Karp? Your approach reminds me a lot of the same, tho styles are different. You're both very inspiring to follow. Well, thank you and take care and keep going.

Hi Maria, love your work and so impressed by your ability to paint or draw each day. May I ask about your palette with the lid. Does it stop acrylic from drying and if so where might I get one. Best wishes Brian from England.

Thank you! Its a Masterson wet palette, with their sponge and palette paper. It slows the drying time so I can save colors for a couple days. It's available at most art stores, if not I'm assuming you can order one online.
