I will be really honest with this review. I have owned many laptops in my lifetime but I have to say Lenovo ThinkPad is the best laptop I have ever used. I currently owned two. One laptop is 5 years and another is 7 years old. Both are still working just fine!
It's a "no-brainer" decision in my case, regarding laptop, when required : thinkpad. What is clearly a really good point, is the second/internal battery. 2 externals, 1 internal, you can never be wrong this way.
I've always wondered what that red dot in the middle of those laptops was n good to know that it's not something that will pressed unexpectedly. Great n informative review
The red button in the middle of the laptop kinda makes it awkward for me. It feels like it's out of place there. But I liked your reviews it was informative !
Yeah it's a feature that harks back to the original Thinkpads. I think back then there wouldn't have been track pads in laptops. Some people might be whizzes at using it, just like using a touchpad, but I detest that :P
That was a very good review of it sir, I have been looking for a new laptop to replace my piece of (bleep!) that I currently have so might consider this one
Depends on what you are looking for. If it's gaming checkout the Lenovo Legion series. Productivity and portability you can look into the Thinkpads which I think moved onto the Nano subseries
That's a good question. Now this is a full fledged laptop, I'd say with more and higher speed ram and and SSD it would completely blow chromes book out of the water. But then again they have their own custom OS and are built specifically for simple mobile usage.
I hear ya, I just bought a new laptop to replace my current desktop replacement laptop. So a desktop replacement replacement :P And hoping for a lightweight portable one I can use for mostly writing and coding.
I've never used either on this laptop. But it should be fine, to get the best performance for photoshop I would say using an SSD and a more RAM will definitely help.
Hey I sold this a while ago and not sure to be honest. As long as the power adaptor is plugged into the wall and other end to the laptop and everything is fine then it would charge. Always charged fully when I did anyway.
This is a much older laptop now so unless if you're playing something that's relatively not demanding and about 6-8 years ago, then maybe. But this is a business class machine so not geared towards gaming.
This tops out at USB 3. The newer ThinkPad Carbons or Nano's might have them although I doubt anything other than Apple would have thunderbolt specifically. Although most with USB C should be able to do double duty
I haven't started using it yet, only turned it on once. I'm waiting on a new set or dual ram and a 1 GB M.2 to come in before I start using it. I think it does have RGB.
@@nathannathan5144 t460 sadly doesn't support w11 by default. The security chip is too outdated. Generally, computers from 2018 and later support w11. So when it comes to the T-series, it would be the t480 and later.
@@marloy1535 If you can get the version of this with the SSD, or just switch out the HDD with an SSD this should be plenty fast. Especially if you switch over to Ubuntu as well. Nice, is the thinkpad series? I was thinking about moving away to something a bit more modern and lightweight. I mean the Thinkpad nanos and later are nice but a bit pricy.

@Revuud System model: 2325N31.. Wow, I just check and they are actually 9 years old laptops but still running strong!!😁
@@travelglobe2372 Crazy isn't it.

This was an awesome overview of the Lenovo Thinkpad T460! Does sound like a pretty good laptop!
Oh hands down the Thinkpad has a long standing tradition of being reliable and portable

Great review, the thinkpad looks pretty cool, it's got all the ports you could need, great job

Definitely when it comes to something sleek, powerful and great value for money this is surely a classic 😊
Nice, quick flyover of the laptop. Looks pretty nice.
THank you :)
I've always wondered what that red dot in the middle of those laptops was n good to know that it's not something that will pressed unexpectedly. Great n informative review
Yeah, it has its own little 'valley' and is lower than the keys. It's interesting that they've kept it going, even in the latest models.
@@FWIKNOW yea im guessing ppl really like it plus it insinuates there brand
@@TheSwagologist1 Definitely. Even if it's not IBM anymore, Thinkpad is still Thinkpad :)
I remember the laptops at school had those trackpoints. It was like a slower mouse.
Yeh it sure does have that lag that you get from an analog stick.
Those think pads are decent laptops, always have been. Nice review broski!
Oh yeh and the new carbons and nano... schwing

Yo this was a Solid Review! I like how its straight to the point and very clear. I wonder how it stack up to the chromebook? Like price wise?

Good summary thx
Thank you. Glad you liked it 😊

Thank you for stopping by :)
Looks like a solid, durable laptop. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah I know they're build for business use back in the day. But I did see one youtuber drop it onto concrete... O_o
Hey thanks for the video!
I have a very important question about this laptop, is it good for photoshop and illustrator?
I've never used either on this laptop. But it should be fine, to get the best performance for photoshop I would say using an SSD and a more RAM will definitely help.

Lenovo T460 doesn't have light indicator. How will I know if it is charging when it is shut down?

How good is the battery life?
I'd say about 4 hours plus. I always use my machines plugged in so hard to comment on actual use
Would you consider this a good laptop for gaming?
This is a much older laptop now so unless if you're playing something that's relatively not demanding and about 6-8 years ago, then maybe. But this is a business class machine so not geared towards gaming.

Thunderbolt ports started happening at the t470!
@@treylinazerros159 Thank you so much for that!
5g supporting??
The T460 is quite an older model. Doubt it would, but wouldn't hurt checking it out
Not ssd?
I can't remember at this point as I had this such a long time ago.
Bro how to connect external keyboard to this laptop
You can just use a USB port to use a wired or wireless keyboard like any other laptop :)

I'm not sure. I've never gamed on this machine and don't know what the requirements are for pes 2021 lite.
