The fact that hunter hunter isnt finished yet has a satisfying non anime original ending is amazing and not a luxury many shows especially at its time got
Same. It really is Togashi's old man wisdom passing it down to us through a character, through his work. And he is right. The little detours are the real meat of life. Goals are in the future, the future doesn't exist, it's an illusion. If one focus too much in the future and forget to live in the present it's a real tragedy because times flies and before you realize those opportunities are lost forever. So anytime is the best time to stop worrying to much about goals and dreams and start living right now, appreciating what life puts in front of you. That's how I interpret this quote anyways.
"Welcome home Killua, my name is Real Gotoh, I was just leaving to go skydiving as I like to do, wish me luck that I don't die, but if I do it's nobody's fault but my own!"
Dude it is so weird, I've been bingewatching the reaction from couple weeks ago and now reaction finished almost at the same time with my current episode. Thank you you guys for this journey. (it is like my 5th journey or somethin)
The end...of the anime because there's not real ending yet to Hunter × Hunter. The reason? The mere existence of the Dark Continent. But yeah this is the most close to an ending H×H fans are gonna get.❤
If the author doesn't finish the series, he already made an ending for the manga as well. 😢 I don't want to get my hopes up since it's been years of waiting at this point. his health condition seems to be really debilitating. And based on how far off “the ending" is to the current arc, I don't think we'll ever get to his (other) preferred ending.
@@markmywords3817Exactly, not every mystery or story has to have an ending. The real experience is the journey itself, and if this series doesn't come back or is left without a clear ending, it will be very sad, but I will continue to remember it as the 10/10 series that it is for me and many others.
for those who don't know, the other world is a literal "other world" called dark continent filled with crazy magic and chaos. other than the ants, one of it inhabitants that appeared in the anime is nanika. from what i remember, nanika is still kinda a common creature there, like they live near the edge of the other world. imagine if you go deeper....

Thansk for this journey guys. This has been another rough year for me so this was one of the things I look foward to distract myself as this is my favorite anime ever. Definitely this was the best reaction of HxH I've ever seen. I'm watching JJK along with you too. I wish you great success with this channel and future endeavours.
Very happy to have shared this journey with you, even though for me it was the 4th time I watched the anime, it is a completely different experience to see other people appreciating and theorizing about the events. I hope that the next animes you watch are as good experiences as HxH was.
Please don't do the movies reaction, they are trash (I rarely call something trash but they are) and not canon, they are not created by Togashi so they are just so bad
I don't think they have any intention of keeping Gotoh's death a secret forever. I think that's their own kindness, saying, "We want Killua and Alluka to at least enjoy themselves without worrying about things while they travel''.
Its funny because I also watched Hunter x Hunter for the first time when I had first moved out of home and was living on my own, really made a big impact.
Until the end this show makes me feel so many emotions! The World Tree reveal was amazing the first time I was so excited I had to read the manga Ging is so damn cool how could a 12y old decide to leave his small island to go find a place "out of this world" and all the scenes we see of him and his friends he was a teenager and Gon wasn't born yet... his decision to leave Gon is what it is but I understand how it would be unthinkable for him to give up on such a big project Seeing Ging and Gon laughing together Ging feels like a big kid sharing those stories with Gon like they're just same age friends I love that for them It always gives me a bit of anguish when he says he has all the time of the world and is not in a hurry but then I remember that in HxH people can live quite long lives so maybe he will be able to accomplish his goals during his lifetime...I think Togashi must be the same afraid that he won't be able to finish such a big work
6:15 "Why don't they just keep building a path up to the top?" I would point out Mount Everest there apparently permanent fixtures on the Chinese side of the mountain to ease climbing; North Face down in Nepal only has temporary camps set up every season because people WANT to climb it.
This year of following HxH with BOLD has been by far the best girlfriend experience I've had, lol. They really overemphasised that Gon-Killua growing apart motive, both in previous and current episode reaction. It's not really intended to be understood this way. Similarly overemphasising the fact of HxH being unfinished series as a value in itself, while Togashi wasn't able to continue it as he'd like to mostly due to health issues, and also wanting to ensure what follows will keep up with the HxH quality standard. Same with Gon's transformation against Pitou being a choice. It kind of was, but it kind of also was the only alternative to imminent death. My vote for an anime to cover in some future goes to both Monster (as my overall #2 best behind HxH) and Baccano! (as my best of the short-duration ones).
I would highly recommend the manga after the anime. It is such a compelling arc even though were still in the middle of it. Would love a read along live stream for example. Sounds like it could be fun
I've read it somewhere that Togashi Sensei might enjoying those little detours too much that's why he didn't finish the manga yet haha but kidding aside thanks for the journey❤

Even though this last part of the story was not the best, this last episode was very good with a good message, easy to grasp and apply, enjoy and value the processes and stages of life, however, I have to be Honest, and it's difficult for me to consider this episode as the end of the entire show, because the story of Kurapika and the Phantom Troupe is not fully resolved, and I think are one of the most interesting stuff of the content of HxH, so, everything that happens afterward of this episode for me is like a separate and different story but from the same universe, and the good thing at least, it doesn't feel forced
