    The biggest issue I see over here is with the Box Team. They always trying to get you to move trailers around for free. We don’t get paid unless it’s over 50 miles. They always send you like 48 miles so they don’t have to pay you.

    • @LifeOfKO
      @LifeOfKO  Год назад +9

      Guess I’ve gotten lucky so far. I’ve never moved a trailer yet. That is shady though.

    Thank you so much. I feared taking on a lease purchase. I knew I couldn't remain w2... but I couldn't buy one using my credit either.
    Ownership seemed to be an impossibility, as I was warned by other drivers the companies will never allow you to pay the lease off. The closer you get to paying the lease....the worse your loads become.
    You cleared the air for me.

    • @LifeOfKO

But I do need a compressor to compressor, To relieve the stress in looking in to companies. That would accept a new driver without experience. I'm gonna watch a channel and hopefully. Yes we as driver should always improve our knowledge about our jobs. But, exactly how much power do drivers have even within the trucking companies? None. So, if we have no power within the trucking industry and the trucking company executives have all the power, can we really expect the industry to function to driver's advantage and benefit? All the rules and regulations work to the benefit of trucking companies because they are the individuals who forced our government to make the laws in their favor against the interests of drivers. No one can make the argument that drivers are not working hard enough or studying hard enough because we drivers generate enough production and money to pay the ceo millions, the brokers $250k, the shippers millions and the dispatchers $250k year after year. If we as drivers cant purchase a home, feed our family, purchse a truck and are constantly worrying about expenses, WE ARE SLAVES and not professional working men.
    Bottomline; every American trucker should be making $250k to $500k per year, any trucker with 5 years experience should be given a home of their choice anywhere in their hometown at a value of $500k, every driver should receive 45 days paid vacation every year, every driver gets free medical and dental insurance for a life, and every driver given the option of purchasing a new truck every year at half price.
    In order to do this we must UNIONIZE with elections of truckers only in leadership. I know this is scary and frightening to some drivers but we know how much trucking companies value and respect our labor. This is why they con us into debt trap lease purchase programs because they dont want us to be empowered. If its hard to get your head above water while you are spending 30 days every month in a truck, that should be a clue and a warning.
    US Navy Vet.
    Any lease purchase program should be graded on how many drivers successfully completed and purchased their truck without financial difficulties. I doubt anyone can find that information for any of these trucking companies. Another clue.

      When it comes to landstar, I think you stay were your at only because of the market being bad and I feel that brokers are trying to keep more money 💰 for there self, I’m at Crete carriers and I don’t do bad, had my own truck, still have 2 yrs before truck is paid for, we get paid by the mile and paid for empty miles, but no surcharge on miles. If you put it all together and how you get paid and how I get paid it all breaks down the same in the long run. Only difference is you have load board, I don’t, but I’m home weekly as well and they take really good care of there trailers at Crete.
