- This is quite possibly, one of the nicest HUMVEE’s ever, thanks to a no-expense spared frame off restoration, replacing every part with new parts where possible, right down to the Grade 8 hardware. With just over 3,000 miles since the restoration, this 1985 AM General HMMWV M-1045 will be selling with NO RESERVE Bring a Trailer as offered from Cascio Motors.
Under the hood is a rebuilt GM Diesel 6.2 liter V8 rated for 150 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque paired with a GM 3L80 3-speed automatic transmission and 2-speed transfer case with full-time four-wheel drive.
This Humvee features 16 inches of ground clearance aided by the infamous Portal axles, a 72-degree approach angle, waterproofing with water fording capabilities, run-flat tires, and more.

Thanks for watching! You can find the auction listing here bringatrailer.com/listing/1985-am-general-hmmwv/
Active duty military members who use the beat up ones on the regular are seething right now 😂
Is there any proportionality in terms of a fool and his money? There were over a quarter million made and it looks like they retailed new in the neighborhood of 250k in 2011. I'm not seeing the value here

The Raddest
There are so many things wrong with this truck its scary. For starters it's not a 1985 model. Those are M998 variants, It's not a M1045 model either since those did not have the rear air cutouts on the rear fenders. Ground clearance is not 15" it 18" . This truck has the air lift bumper with the mounts for the rhino spare tire carrier, but no carrier included. The reflectors are all bleached out from the sun (30-dollar parts). I could go on and on, clean truck but fair price is only about 20k
someone bought it for 40k.....
3:27.... doesn't look like a good restore job.... its all mangled on the floor pan and the bolts don't match.
