      @@deborahbaker1092 The bar kicked him out. It's unclear if his friends knew.
      I am not usually one to expect bars to monitor everyone's drinking levels. for example if someone leaves on their own and gets a DUI, THAT is on that person.
      But I think if a bar is kicking someone out for being too drunk, there should be something else besides just tossing him in the street. Especially in an area with a lot of tourists that don't know where they are.
      So wrong. So sad.

    • @deborahbaker1092
      @deborahbaker1092 Месяц назад +1

      @JW-vd4il It's not unclear. It was reported in several news stories that some of the people he came with knew he was kicked out and lost sight of him. You are at liberty to not hold the bar responsible. I, however, choose to hold people responsible for not being considerate human beings. I'm not absolving people who get intoxicated for taking responsibility for their own behavior, but between the two of them, the bartenders should have been sober and exercised judgment while he clearly didn't have the capacity to do so. I have been in a similar situation before, so I know what I've done to ensure that a vulnerable intoxicated young person wasn't alone. They could have called the police. Ultimately, neither of our opinions matter. A young man has senselessly lost his life.

      I left a group after I sobered up the night after I realized I drove home alone, I wasn't even a drinker I was actually already aquainted and well liked by said community college/church.
      Something about hanging with them didn't feel right after. Some people get a rise out of making the "good kid" do bad things. While I never classified myself as such, It was a gut feeling that proved true after they became malicious after I denied their future requests.
      Moment of growth moment, you are responsible at the end of the day, and their are some wicked people who plan out your misfortune in the most passive ways, if it doesn't feel right, it's not right. Yes, this also applies to us guys too. Either said friends are super malicious or really idiotic.

    If there was a single ounce of integrity in that entire fraternity they would dissolve in shame. They were responsible for each other's safety. They failed. Now he's gone. That whole fraternity should go with him in a show of solidarity with the one they should have been there for. Buzzkll or not. Ruined night at the bar or not. You never leave a man behind. Ever. That's man law. These kids were sent out into the wilderness to become men, and they failed. They should all feel that shame. Because this is their fault. They don't deserve privacy. They don't deserve support. They deserve to remember that they left their brother to float knowing he was messed up and couldn't take care of himself. They betrayed him.
    They'll never deserve to be called men. Let alone deserve the support of a fraternity and the public.

      it is their fault. You don't leave anyone in that condition to fend for themselves. They betrayed him and left him to float. That fraternity should be dissolved, and everyone there that night should feel the shame of this needless loss. They are not brothers. They do not deserve that bond. And they never will. They chose a single night of drinking over his whole life. Those aren't even people until they prove it after doing something so vile to their own fraternity brother.
